Based on results form 395 family restaurant patrons obtained empirically, we reviewed the reliability and fitness of a research model and verified two hypotheses using the AMOS program. The hypothesized relationships in the model were simultaneously tested using a structural equation model (SEM). Hypothesis 1, which hypothesized a positive relationship between customer perception of CSR activities and customer trust was partially supported. Additionally, hypothesis 2, in which customer perception of CSR activities had significant positive effects on customer satisfaction, and customer trust had significant positive effect on customer satisfaction (Hypothesis 3 was supported). Finally, customer trust performed a partial role as a parameter in the causality between CSR activity in the family restaurant and customer satisfaction. • Recently Korean textile industry has been in the phase that requires its strategy change from the less-develped country style of the labor-intensive products to the developed country style of the technology-intensive products. It needs to make more efforts to develop the value-added products to meet the customer's various needs. In addition, development of technology, equipment, and design is required to implement its corporate strategy successfully. Although Korean textile companies have currently kept skillful labor and advanced equipments, they are losing their share in the international textile markets. This is mainly because corporate management has not been involved with efficient strategy. Strategy is an adoption of a company to environment by its corporate members, thus leading to the requirement of coordination of the main functions such as manufacturing and marketing. In fact, the coordination of the two departments toward reaching the corporate goal is not easy since the two are interested in different areas, respectively. Manufacturing people show their interests in production capacity, equipment layout, process technology, quality, purchasing, and labor while marketing people, target customer, product mix, advertisement, product specification, and customer service. For this reason, conflicts sometimes happen between the two departments. There are, however, many area that need a horizontal cooperation, for instance, in layout, process technology, product mix, and potential demand. Therefore, reciprocal coordination is necessary for achieving the firm's common objectives. This study was concerned with determining the factors that enhance the competitiveness of textile firms so that they could reach the common goal of the two departments with a horizontal collaboration.

  • Today the concept of corporate social responsibility has become an essential element for coexistence of corporations and the society. In this study the impact of four responsibilities of business organizations proposed by Archie Carroll (economic, legal, ethical, and discretionary) on customer loyalty through the mediating effect of trust and company-consumer identification is analyzed. A questionnaire survey was conducted for four well-known Korean companies (Dong Suh Food, LG Household and Health Care, Samsung Electronics, and Hyundai Motor). After factor analysis, legal and ethical responsibilities were grouped as the same factor, thus three social responsibilities were finally used for hypotheses testing. Major findings were as follows: First, economic responsibilities had positive impact on honesty trust, professionalism trust, favorableness trust, and company-consumer identification, Second, legal/ethical responsibilities were found to have significant effects on honesty trust, favorableness trust, and company-consumer identification. Third, in the case of discretionary responsibilities, professionalism trust, favorableness trust, and company-consumer identification were revealed to have a significant positive relationship. Fourth, only two trust variables (honesty and professionalism) and company-consumer identification had positive influence on the loyalty of customers. These findings are expected to help decision makers to set up corporate objectives and choose action items for corporate social responsibility. At the last part, implications of the study and future research directions were discussed.

  • This paper tried to examine the effect of the policy on companies' CSR activities and what kind of a role does CSR have in determining Customer Loyalty in Indonesia. This paper is divided into two parts, the first part is designed to find out whether the Indonesian government law has successfully made the companies perform better CSRs. We do this by using the ICGC Index of the companies registered and comparing their scores before and after the implementation of the policy. We will then use the paired sample t-test to find out if there is an increase in the overall scores of the companies and/or only the natural resource-related companies. The result showed an upward trend in the ICGC scores for all the companies which the Indonesian government law is intended to. In the second part, Manfred Schwaiger's components and parameters of corporate reputation was referred and used on Indonesian customers. We asked participants whether they think natural resource-related companies perform better CSRs and then we also tried to find out what factors really affect their loyalty towards companies or brands by conducting Multiple Regression Analysis. From the 4 factors that we have prepared, which consist of Performance, CSR, Quality and Attractiveness, Quality is the most influential towards determining our survey participants' Customer Loyalty. Surprisingly, CSR is insignificant in directly influencing Customer Loyalty. But, our research did find out that CSR does moderate Quality and Performance in their relationship with Customer Loyalty. Meaning that CSR has no effect in a direct relationship but it can increase the effect of Quality and Performance in determining Customer Loyalty. Unfortunately, CSR has no moderating effect in increasing the effect of Attractiveness towards Customer Loyalty.

  • Purpose - Recently, as the franchise market has grown rapidly and competition has intensified, the creation of competitive advantage by companies has become important as a corporate survival strategy. Based on previous studies, this study proposed a theoretical framework for the structural relationship between psychological ownership (organization and job), job performance, and customer orientation. Research design, data, and methodology - This research examines the structural relationship between psychological ownership, job performance, and customer orientation in terms of employees. More specifically, in this model, psychological ownership consists of two sub-dimensions of organization and function. Research models and hypotheses have been developed for this purpose. A total of 409 respondents responded via surveys. 2 out of 409 respondents have been removed and a total of 407 were used for this study. The data were analyzed using frequency analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, correlation analysis, and structural equation modeling with SPSS 21.0 and Amos 21.0 statistical program. Result - The results of the study are as follows. First, psychological ownership (organization and job) has a statistically significant positive effect on job performance. Second, psychological ownership of the job has a statistically significant positive effect on customer orientation. On the other hand, psychological ownership did not have a significant effect on customer orientation. Conclusions - The implications of this study are following as: From the theoretical point of view, this study distinguishes the psychological ownership of employees of a franchise corporate into two dimensions, organization and job, rather than a single dimension. Based on this, we examined the effect of psychological proprieties on job performance and customer orientation. This study also provides several implications. In a fiercely competitive franchise market, it is very important to analyze your employees to gain a competitive advantage over other competitors. It is meaningful to study the employees who work in the franchise. In addition, psychological ownership is an important variable that enhances job performance and leads to customer orientation, so the company needs to pay attention. Therefore, it needs to develop an internal marketing strategy that promotes psychological ownership.
