The Effect of Pharmaceutical Company's Corporate Brand Image on Physicians' Prescriptions

  • Purpose: As the government supports the pharmaceutical industry as a next-generation growth industry, there has been a change in the generic-oriented market. The government is trying to lower the price of generic medicines and change the market with rebates. If there is no difference in the marketing methods of pharmaceutical companies, corporate brand image can be an important attribute to consider when doctors prescribe generic drugs. Research design, data, and methodology: The brand image of pharmaceutical companies consists of communication with customers, social responsibility, ethical behavior, and the image of MR. Other factors than the corporate brand image have little effect on doctors' intention to prescribe. The subjects of this study were limited to the generic drug market and clinic doctors with no restrictions on prescribing authority. Results: First, the customer and communication components of corporate brand image influenced prescribing intention. Second, social responsibility, a component of corporate brand image, influenced prescribing intention. Third, ethical behavior as a construct of corporate brand image influenced prescribing intention. Fourth, the effect of MR's image on prescription intention was confirmed. Conclusions: To differentiate from previous studies, this study focused on generic prescriptions in hospitals and confirmed that the corporate brand image of pharmaceutical companies had a positive effect on doctors' prescription.

  • This study attempted to examine the effect of corporate ESG activities perceived by college students on corporate loyalty and purchase intention. The results of the study are as follows. Looking at the average ESG activities recognized by college students, society 4.28 points, governance 4.25 points, and environment 4.12 points out of 5, and the average customer loyalty was 3.86 points when 3 points out of 5 points were median, and purchase intention was 3.84 points. Looking at the correlation between the factors of corporate ESG activities, customer loyalty, and purchase intention perceived by college students, it was confirmed that it had a static correlation coefficient. As a result of analyzing the effect of ESG activities perceived by college students on customer loyalty, the variable that significantly affects customer loyalty in [Model 1] is the major (β=.167p=).01) It was. Among the additional variables added to [Model 2], the variable that significantly affects customer loyalty is the environment (t=3.017, p<.).01), society ((t=4.365, p<.001), governance structure (t=-3.139, p<.01) was found to have a significant effect on customer loyalty. As a result of analyzing the effect of ESG activities perceived by college students on purchase intention, there was no significant effect on purchase intention in [Model 1]. Among the additional variables put into [Model 2], society (t=4.850, p<.001), governance structure (t=-3.452, p<.01) was found to have a significant effect on purchase intention.

Does the Variance of Customer Satisfaction Matter for Firm Performance?

  • Although much attention has been paid to customer satisfaction (CS) as a leading indicator of firm performance, few studies have investigated the role of CS distribution across individual customers. With 10 years of National Customer Satisfaction Index (NCSI) data in Korea, we examine the relationship between the variance of CS and key corporate performance measures such as revenue, profit, Tobin's q, and stock return. There are three main findings. First, we confirm the findings of previous studies that the average CS for a firm is related to the firm's economic performance. Second, we find a moderating effect of CS variance such that the relationship between the level of CS and firm performance is attenuated by the variance of CS. Finally, the variance of CS is found to directly affect firm performance over and above the CS level effect. More specifically, the variance decreases sales and stock return.

  • With the progress of information technology and the rapid development of the gamification marketing, corporate marketing through virtual CSR co-create as customer acquisition, customer retention strategy has become the hot topic, but the reality results show that the effect of virtual CSR co-create fails to reach an enterprise's marketing purposes. Based on the success model of D&M information system, from the perspective of customer engagement, this study analyzes how enterprises achieve customer engagement and bring gameful experience to customers through gamification marketing in the context of virtual CSR co-create. The empirical results show that the quality of game information -- social interaction and sense of achievement in the context of virtual CSR co-create have a significant positive impact on consumers' gameful experience, and customer engagement plays a partial mediating role between social interaction, sense of achievement and consumers' gameful experience.

  • This study aims to analyze the effect of corporate communication and service quality on loyalty mediating satisfaction. The population of this study is 384 Islamic bank customers in North Sumatra. This research is quantitative research using the survey method. The number of research samples was 384 customers. Characteristics of this research sample were (1) Savings customers who actively carried out transactions in Islamic banks (2) Savings customers who had used bank services for at least 1 year (3) Savings customers who used services directly and individually. The data analysis technique used in this study was the Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Model (SEM-PLS) analysis technique, using Warp-PLS 3.0 software. This study investigates the largest Islamic banks in North Sumatra, namely Bank Syariah Mandiri, Bank BNI Syariah, and Bank BRI Syariah. The results show that company communication has a positive and significant effect on satisfaction, service quality has a positive and significant effect on satisfaction, company communication has a positive and significant effect on loyalty, service quality has a positive and significant effect on loyalty, satisfaction has a positive and significant effect on loyalty. There is also a significant effect of satisfaction on the relationship between company communication and loyalty, and the relationship between service quality and loyalty. This study contributes to Islamic banking to increase customer loyalty.

  • In the past four decades, corporate social responsibility (CSR) issues have grown substantially due to the increasing demand for transparency and growing expectations that corporations should manage and improve their social, environmental, and economic performance. As a result, most organizations, companies, and governments provide CSR reports, while a large number of companies are still engaged in defining and integrating CSR into several aspects of their business. CSR is an obligation to society (Lee, 2020). The linkage between CSR and consumer-company identification (CCI) is important under company stakeholders. Consumers who care about those issues often change their shopping habits to bring greater value to the community. They will avoid buying environmentally or socially harmful products, and actively seek the products and services of the companies that carry out social responsibility. Companies conducting CSR activities such as charity works or environmental activities will be easy to associate as a responsible organization for always meeting the necessity of society. Therefore, companies must consider CSR a long-term strategy. The strategic approach to CSR plays an increasingly significant part in the business competitiveness - which helps create companies' values while gains trust and respect from the consumers, partners in particular, and the social community in general. This study is conducted to show evidence from project-based organizations about the CSR factors that influence consumer loyalty and the impact level of those factors on customer loyalty.

  • The study aims to evaluate the impact of corporate social responsibility on customers' repurchase intention in Vietnam's fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) industry. This study employs primary data surveyed from 417 Vietnamese consumers, and the sample is selected based on the willingness to participate in providing information. The results show corporate social responsibility's positive impact on repurchase intention in the FMCG industry in the Vietnam market. There are three components of corporate social responsibility, including ethical responsibility, legal responsibility, and economic responsibility have a positive impact on repurchase intention. The economic responsibility component has the greatest effect on repurchase intention. There is not enough statistical basis for the philanthropic responsibility component of corporate social responsibility to recognize its impact on repurchase intention. The findings of this study suggest that companies dealing in the FMCG industry in Vietnam need to invest more in further developing their corporate social responsibility, it not only helps to improve their customer loyalty to businesses but also contributes to promoting the country's economic and social development in a better and more sustainable direction.

  • Purpose: Today, we often hear complaints from customers: poor quality, poor service, expensive prices, etc. Customer complaints are an indication that the company's products and services do not meet customer requirements, which in turn causes customer complaints. An important content of corporate marketing practice is how to use the opportunity of handling customer complaints to win the trust of customers and gain a competitive advantage. According to the concept of marketing, the way for an enterprise to obtain profits is to continuously meet the needs of customers. However, with increasingly fierce market competition and the overall formation of a buyer's market, providing high-quality products and high-efficiency and high-level services have become the eternal theme of enterprises. Therefore, meeting the actual needs of customers and effectively handling customer complaints are issues that we must take seriously. Research design, data, and methodology: This article mainly analyzes the causes of customer complaints, proposes relevant solutions for different types of complaints, builds a customer complaint management system, improves the efficiency and ability of handling complaints, and provides more references and basis for enterprises to solve customer complaints. Conclusions: To further improve the quality of enterprise products and service standards, to help enterprises increase customer loyalty and satisfaction, and to enable enterprises to gain advantages in the increasingly competitive global market.

  • The purpose of TQM (Total Quality Management)-centered organizational culture is to enhance the efficiency of business through the proper allocation and concentration of restricted resources. In order to maximize the corporate profitability through customer satisfaction, what kind of, when and how many resources should be allocated and managed to the preventive TQM activities and corrective TQM activities have become a very important decision making factors at the point of high management. This study aims to identify the causal relationships of quality-centered organizational culture on service quality and customer satisfaction relating to service failure in food service industry. And this study is intended to discover the factors of quality-centered organizational culture which impacts on service recovery justice after service failure happens, and it can be helpful for the top managers to make a decision to how to form corporate structural culture.

A Study on the Impact of National Image and Corporation Brand Image on Product Image and Customer's Purchasing Intention (국가이미지와 기업브랜드이미지가 제품이미지 및 구매의도에 미치는 영향에 대한 연구 -한.중 교역을 중심으로-)

  • The purpose of this study was to clarify the impact of national and corporate brand image of Korea on chinese consumers' purchasing Intention, also the impact of China on korean consumers' purchasing Intention. And the second aim of the research is to provide Korean businessmen who are interested in chinese market with information about chinese consumers' purchasing behaviour. Data from 205 chinese and korean consumers were analysed. As the result of analyses, it was found that Korean country image positive affects corporate brand image(samsung) and Chinese country image negative affects corporate brand image(haier) and product image. Korean corporate brand image only affects product image on chinese consumers. The product image affects Korean and Chinese consumer's purchasing intention.
