A Conceptual Study on Outsourcing Strategy in Betel Industry (관광호텔 아웃소싱 전략에 관한 개념적 고찰)

  • Outsourcing is procuring of outside resources, other than core resources for core competence, by a contract, from which a corporate can focus its core resources on core business. The outsourcing strategies of Korea tourist hotel business are in a rudimentary stage, which has been limited in simple work areas such as housekeeping services, room maid services, parking control services, security services, janitor services, laundry services, facility management, shuttle bus services, and sterilization services and their purposes are mainly to retrench a burden of employment or firm-fixed expenses. Therefore, the outsourcing strategies of Korea tourist hotel business have the following problems. First, their outsourcing has introduced only for the purpose of retrenching expenses. Second, it tends to deteriorate service quality, due to lack of pre-training. Third, it tends to concentrate their attentions only on simple repetition works. Fourth, their outsourcing is slow adjusted to the needs of business cultures. Outsourcing services in Korea tourist hotel business have never contributed to their basic concepts such as 1) maintenance or enhancement of core competences, 2) promotion of business efficiency through service quality improvement and expense retrenchment, and 3) achievement or enhancement of competitive advantage through enlarging their specialties, cultivating their market, learning new knowledge, and developing their asset. Therefore, this study is to insist on fife necessity of overcoming simple repetitive service outsourcing in tourist hotel business. In order to build a core competence and/or achieve a competitive advantage, the scopes of outsourcing services should be enlarged in Korea tourist hotel business.

The Development and Application of Core Fundamental Nursing Skills Improvement Education Program for New Nurses in Comprehensive Nursing Care Ward (간호·간병통합서비스 병동 신규간호사 대상 핵심기본간호술기향상 교육프로그램 개발 및 적용)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of the development and application of the new nurses' core skill program on the clinical skill, confidence, knowledge and performance of new nurses. Methods: This study was a nonequivalent control group post-test design on 46 new nurses with 3 to 6 months work experience in a general hospital. Data were collected from August 2015 to August 2016. A training program of core fundamental nursing skills was applied on 23 new nurses from 2016 in the experiment group, and an existing training method was applied on 23 new nurses from 2015 in the comparison group. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS/WIN 23.0. Results: The experimental group ($89{\pm}4.29$) showed higher score in practical skill assessment compared to the control group ($85.09{\pm}3.99$) and showed a statistically significant difference (p<001). Conclusion: A training program of core fundamental nursing skills for new nurses proved effective in improving practical skills. Further research on the development of a systemic training program that can improve clinical nursing knowledge and work ability for new nurses according to the extended enforcement of a Nursing Care Integrated Service ward is needed.

  • 본 논문은 인터넷에서 실시간 서비스를 효과적으로 지원하면서도 망의 확장성을 제공하는 방법을 제안하였다. 이를 위해 코어노드에서 각 플로우의 상태 정보를 관리하지 않는 SCORE (Scalable CORE) 네트워크 모델 [1]과 종단간 딜레이 보장이 우수한 QoS (Qualify of Service) 스케줄링 방법중 하나인 WF²Q+ (Worst-case Fair weight Fair Queuing+) [2]에 대해서 기술하고 구현하였다. 이러한 개념을 바탕으로 새로운 망의 구조를 제안하였으며 시뮬레이션을 통한 성능분석을 수행하였다.

The Impacts of Participation Motivation and Service Quality on Satisfaction of the Trade Exhibition Participants (전시회의 참가동기와 서비스품질이 참가자 만족에 미치는 영향)

  • This research intends to explore two questions: 1) how the service qualities of trade exhibitions affect the participant's satisfaction, and 2) how participation motivation moderates the relationship's between the service quality and satisfaction. For this purpose, the service qualities were measured with respect to three components: 1) core services, 2) physical environments, and 3) personal services of trade exhibitions. The results showed that the core services had largest impact on the participant's satisfaction among three components. The influence of the personal services was next strong, and the impact of the physical environment was weakest. Participation motivation was shown to moderate the effects of core services and personal services on satisfaction, but its moderating impact on the relationship between physical environments and satisfaction was not observed.

  • In the service industry brand was getting more importance in marketing and brand should be researched more. So the purpose of this study was to identify the causal relationships of 'constructs of brand evidence-brand satisfaction-feelings-brand satisfaction-customer loyalty'. In this research constructs of brand evidence were brand image, price (value for money), servicescapes, core service, employee service, and self-image congruence. This research used family restaurants settings using a sample of customers visiting and enjoying menus at family restaurant stores of Youngnam province. A total of 222 questionnaires were analyzed with SPSS/PC+12.0 and LISREL8.30. Empirical results were that firstly, price, core service and employee service affected brand satisfaction and secondly, employee service, core service, servicescape affected postive feelings and thirdly, brand evidence constructs except self-image congruence influenced negative feelings and lastly, brand satisfaction influenced customer loyalty. On the basis of these findings, family restaurant manager should pay much attention to constructs of brand evidence and use these variables to appeal to and understand target market.

UbiCore : An Effective XML-based RFID Middleware System (UbiCore : XML 기반 RFID 미들웨어 시스템)

  • Owing to the proliferation of Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technologies which is being watched as a core technology of ubiquitous computing, applications which offer convenience to people using RFID technologies are more and more increased. To easily develop these applications, a middleware system which acts as a bridge between RFID hardware and application is essential. In this paper, we propose a novel XML-based RFID middleware system called UbiCore (Ubiquitous Core). UbiCore has following features: First, UbiCore employs its own query language called XQueryStream (XQuery for Stream Data) which is originated from XQuery. Second, UbiCore has the preprocessing phase called pre-filtering prior to query evaluation and reuses the intermediate result of previous evaluation to speed up the processing of RFID tag data stream. Third, UbiCore supports query on both continuously generated stream data and archived historical data. And last, UbiCore offers a distinct markup language called Context-driven Service Markup Language (CSML) to easily specify the linking information between context and service.

Comparisons of Core Temperature Between a Telemetric Pill and Heart Rate Estimated Core Temperature in Firefighters

  • Background: Firefighters may experience high environmental temperatures or carry out intensive physical tasks, or both, which leads to increased core body temperature and risk of fatalities. Hence there is a need to remotely and non-invasively monitor core body temperature. Methods: Estimated (heart rate algorithm) and actual core body temperature (ingested telemetric pill) measures were collected simultaneously for comparison during training exercises on 44 firefighter volunteers. Results: Prediction of core body temperature varied, with no specific identifiable pattern between the algorithm values and directly measured body core temperatures. Group agreement of Lin's Concordance of 0.74 (95% Upper 0.75, lower CI 0.73), was deemed poor. Conclusion: From individual agreement data Lin's Concordance was variable (Min 0.11, CI 0.13-0.01; Max 0.83, CI 0.86-0.80), indicating that the heart rate algorithm approach was not suitable for core body temperature monitoring in this population group, especially at the higher more critical core body temperatures seen.

Bioequivalence of MelaxTM Capsule to MobicTM Capsule (Meloxicam 7.5 mg) (모빅 캡슐(멜록시캄 7.5 mg)에 대한 멜락스 캡슐의 생물학적동등성)

  • A bioequivalence of $Melax^{TM}$ capsules (Chong Kun Dang Pharm., Korea) and $Mobic^{TM}$ capsules (Boehringer Ingelheim Korea) was evaluated according to the guideline of Korea Food and Drug Administration (KFDA). Single 15 mg dose of meloxicam of each medicine was administered orally to 24 healthy male volunteers. This study was performed in a $2\;{\times}\;2$ crossover design. Concentrations of meloxicam in human plasma were monitored by a high-performance liquid chromatography. $AUC_t$ (the area under the plasma concentration-time curve from time zero to 72 hr) was calculated by the linear trapezoidal rule method. $C_{max}$ (maximum plasma drug concentration) and $T_{max}$ (time to reach $C_{max}$) were compiled from the plasma concentration-time data. Analysis of variance was performed using logarithmically transformed $AUC_t$ and $C_{max}$. No significant sequence effect was found for all of the bioavailability parameters. The 90% confidence intervals of the $AUC_t$ ratio and the $C_{max}$ ratio for $Melax^{TM}/Mobic^{TM}$ were 0.95 - 1.04 and 0.98 - 1.14, respectively. This study demonstrated a bioequivalence of $Melax^{TM}$ and $Mobic^{TM}$ with respect to the rate and extent of absorption.

Bioequivalence of NimegenTM Soft Capsule to RoAccutane® Soft Capsule (Isotretinoin 10 mg) (로아큐탄 연질캡슐(이소트레티노인 10 mg)에 대한 니메겐 연질캡슐의 생물학적동등성)

  • A bioequivalence study of $Nimegen^{TM}$ soft capsule (Medica Korea Pharma. Co., Ltd.) to $RoAccutane^{(R)}$ soft capsule (Roche Korea Ind. Co., Ltd.) was conducted according to the guidelines of Korea Food and Drug Administration (KFDA). Thirty healthy male Korean volunteers received each medicine at the isotretinoin dose of 60 mg in a $2{\times}2$ crossover study. There was one week wash-out period between the doses. Plasma concentrations of isotretinoin were monitored by a high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) for over a period of 48 hours after drug administration. $AUC_t$ (the area under the plasma concentration-time curve from time zero to 48 hr) was calculated by the linear trapezoidal rule method. $C_{MAX}$ (maximum plasma drug concentration) and $T_{MAX}$ (time to reach $C_{MAX}$) were compiled from the plasma concentration-time data. Analysis of variance was carried out using logarithmically transformed $AUC_t\;and\;C_{MAX}$. No significant sequence effect was found for all of the bioavailability parameters indicating that the crossover design was properly performed. The 90% confidence intervals of the $AUC_t$ ratio and the $C_{MAX}$ ratio for $Nimegen^{TM}/RoAccutane^{(R)}$ were $log0.860{\sim}log0.98\;and\;log0.85{\sim}log1.00$, respectively. These values were within the acceptable bioequivalence intervals of $log0.80{\sim}log1.25$. Thus, our study demonstrated the bioequivalence of $Nimegen^{TM}\;and\;RoAccutane^{(R)}$ with respect to the rate and extent of absorption.

Co., Ltd.) was conducted according to the guidelines of Korea Food and Drug Administration (KFDA). Twenty four healthy male Korean volunteers received each medicine at the roxithromycin dose of 300 mg in a $2{\times}2$ crossover study. There was a one-week wash-out period between the doses. Plasma concentrations of roxithromycin were monitored by a high-performance liquid chromatography for over a period of 36 hours after drug administration. $AUC_t$ (the area under the plasma concentration-time curve from time zero to 36 hr) was calculated by the linear trapezoidal rule method. $C_{max}$ (maximum plasma drug concentration) and $T_{max}$ (time to reach $C_{max}$) were compiled from the plasma concentration-time data. Analysis of variance was carried out using logarithmically transformed $AUC_t$ and $C_{max}$. No significant sequence effect was found for all of the bioavailability parameters indicating that the cross-over design was properly performed. The 90% confidence intervals of the $AUC_t$ ratio and the $C_{max}$ ratio for $Roxithrin^{TM}/Rulid^{TM}$ were 1.00 - 1.13 and 0.98 - 1.10, respectively. These values were within the acceptable bioequivalence intervals of 0.80 - 1.25. Thus, our study demonstrated the bioequivalence of $Roxithrin^{TM}$ and $Rulid^{TM}$ with respect to the rate and extent of absorption.
