Since world coordinate system is entirely used because of the revision of land surveying law, it is needed that transformation of coordinates of geo-spatial information established by korea coordinate system to be performed. It is required, however, to have a plan for transformation of world coordinate system because the coordinate system is not unified due to the geo-spatial information system using dualistic control data of both old and new data of korea coordinate system. For this purpose, in this study, I have calculated coordinate transformation coefficient per control data of korea coordinate system and proposed a plan of transforming a dualistic coordinate system which is based on control data of korea coordinate system effectively into world coordinate system through verification of accuracy of transformation per control data.
An effective cartesian coordinate model is presented to control a robot motion along a prescribed timebased hand trajectory in cartesian coordinates and to provide an adaptive feedback design approach utilizing self-tuning control methods without requiring a detailed mathematical description of the system dynamics. Assuming that each of the hybrid variable set of velocities and forces at the cartesian coordinate level is mutually independent, the dynamic model for the cartesian coordinate control is reduced to first-order SISO models for each degree of freedom of robot hand, including a term to represent all unmodeled effects, by which the number of parameters to be identified is minimized. The self-tuners are designde to minimize a chosen performance criterion, and the computed control forces are resolved into applied joint torques by the Jacobian matrix. The robustness of the model and controller is demonstrated by comparing with the other catesian coordinate controllers.
In this paper, we propose a correction method for astronomical telescope using recursive least square method. There are two ways to move a telescope : equatorial operation and altazimuth operation. We must align polar axis of a equatorial telescope with the north celestial pole and adjust the horizontal axis of a altazimuth telescope exactly to match the celestial coordinate system with the telescope coordinate system. This process needs time and expertise. We can skip existing process and correct a tracking error easily by deriving the relationship of the celestial coordinate system and the telescope coordinate system using the proposed correction method. We obtain the coordinate of a celestial body in the celestial coordinate system and the telescope coordinate system and derive a transformation matrix through the obtained coordinate. We use recursive least square method to estimate the unknown parameters of a transformation matrix. Finally, we implement a telescope control system using a microprocessor and verify the performance of the correction method. Through an experiment, we show the validity of the proposed correction method.
The Load Tap Changing (LTC) transformer and Shunt Capacitor (SC) bank are major devices for voltage and reactive power control in a distribution substation. Thus, the coordination operation of a LTC transformer and a SC bank is required to achieve better voltage and reactive power compensation at a distribution substation in the same time. This paper proposes coordinate control method of LTC transformer and SC bank to achieve better voltage and reactive power compensation and operation times of these two devices in the same time. The mathematical formulations of the proposed coordinate control method are introduced. Sample case studies are shown to verify the effectiveness of the proposed coordinate control method.
This parer describes the tracking control simulation of 6-DOF shaking table with a bell crank structure, which converts the direction of reciprocating movements. For the Joint coordinate-based control which uses lengths of each actuator, the trajectory conversion process inverse kinematics is performed. Applying the Newton-Euler approach, the dynamic equation of the shaking table is derived. To cope with nonlinear problems, time-delay control(TDC) is considered, which has been noted for its exceptional robustness to parameter uncertainties and disturbance, in addition to steady-state accuracy and computational efficiency. If the nominal model is equal to the real system, joint coordinate-based control can be very efficient. However, manufacturing tolerances installation errors and link offsets contaminate the nominal values of the kinematic parameters used in the kinematic model of the shaking table. To compensate differences between the nominal model and the real system. the joint coordinate-based control using acceleration feedback in the Cartesian coordinate space is proposed.

The hand coordinate systems for measuring vibration exposures and biodynamic responses have been standardized, but they are not actually used in many studies. This contradicts the purpose of the standardization. The objectives of this study were to identify the major sources of this problem, and to help define or identify better coordinate systems for the standardization. This study systematically reviewed the principles and definition methods, and evaluated typical hand coordinate systems. This study confirms that, as accelerometers remain the major technology for vibration measurement, it is reasonable to standardize two types of coordinate systems: a tool-based basicentric (BC) system and an anatomically based biodynamic (BD) system. However, these coordinate systems are not well defined in the current standard. Definition of the standard BC system is confusing, and it can be interpreted differently; as a result, it has been inconsistently applied in various standards and studies. The standard hand BD system is defined using the orientation of the third metacarpal bone. It is neither convenient nor defined based on important biological or biodynamic features. This explains why it is rarely used in practice. To resolve these inconsistencies and deficiencies, we proposed a revised method for defining the realistic handle BC system and an alternative method for defining the hand BD system. A fingertip-based BD system for measuring the principal grip force is also proposed based on an important feature of the grip force confirmed in this study.
In this paper, the method to calculate chromaticity coordinate from spectral power distribution of LED is presented. Also, inverse tri-stimulus algorithm to find mixed luminance of red, green, blue LED from targeted luminance and chromaticity coordinate is proposed. Besides, digital light color control system of LED lamp applied this algorithm has been developed. In experiments, each chromaticity coordinate of red, green, blue LED calculated from this algorithm has relative percentage error of few % to measured values. Digital code is drawn from inverse tri-stimulus algorithm, and measured values of luminance and chromaticity coordinate of LED lamp digitally controlled by this code also have relative percentage error within a few % to targeted luminance and chromaticity coordinate.
This paper proposes a simple and high performance hybrid position/force control of robots based on disturbance compensation by using the disturbance observer in task coordinate space. The disturbance observer linealizes system of robot manipulators in task coordinate space and realizes acceleration control. To realize the strict acceleration control, the disturbance observer whose input is a position signal by simple computation, works as if it were a disturbance detector. The inverse kinematics can be simplified, because the disturbance observer in task coordinate space compensates not only the disturbance but also the error due to the simplification of the inverse kinematics. The new strategy is applied to a three-degrees-of freedom direct drive robot. The robust and simple hybrid position/force control is realized experimentally.
A new approach based on mean value coordinate combined with Laplacian coordinate is proposed for shape deformation of a large polygon model composed of triangular net. In the method, the spherical mean value coordinates for closed control meshes is introduced to describe a vertex in the triangle meshes to be deformed. Furthermore, the well known quardratic least square method for the Laplacian coordinates is employed in order to deform the control meshes. Because the mean value coordinates are continuous and smooth on the interior of control meshes, deforming operation of control meshes change the shape of polygon model while preserving the intrinsic surface detail. The effectiveness and validity of this novel approach was demonstrated by using it to deform large and complex polygon models with arbitrary topologies.

A method to determine an optimal temperature trajectory that guarantees polymer products having controlled molecular weight distribution and desired values of molecular weight is presented. The coordinate transformation method and the optimal control theory are applied to a batch PMMA polymerization system to calculate the optimal temperature trajectory. Coordinate transformation method converts the original fixed-end-point, free-end-time problem to a free-end-point, fixed-end-time problem. The idea is that by making the reactor temperature track the optimal temperature trajectory one may be able to produce polymer products having the prespecified physical property in a minimum time. The on-line control experiments with the PID control algorithm have been conducted to establish the validity of the scheme proposed in this study. The experimental results show that prespecified polymer product could be obtained with tracking the calculated optimal temperature trajectory.
