4-치환된 벤조산 2합체에서의 수소 결합 상호작용에 대한 이론적 연구 (Theoretical Studies of Hydrogen Bond Interactions in 4-Substituted Benzoic Acids Dimers)

  • 벤조산 유도체($NH_2$, OH, H, F, Cl, CN, NO, $NO_2$) 의 두 형태를 6-311++G(d,p) 바탕 집합을 이용하여 MP2, DFT 및 HF 수준으로 연구하였으며, cis이성 질체가 더 안정하였다. 벤조산의 수소 결합 형성은 안정화 에너지를 이용하여 추산하였으며, 이합체에 대한 수소결합 에너지 계산치는 고리에서 협동 상호작용이 일어남을 보여주었다. 페닐 고리로 전자를 밀어내는 그룹(ERG)은 더 안정한 수소 결합이 형성하였다. 이합체에서 O-H 결합의 적색이동은 -565.3에서 $-589.3\;cm^{-1}$ 범위였으며, 상호 작용의 특성은 NBO 분석을 이용하여 연구하였다.

  • N,N-Methylenebisacrylamide (MBAA)로 가교 결합된 electro-active 고분자(EAP) (poly(2-acrylamido-2-methylpropane sulfonic acid), PAMPS) 겔을 수용액 상에서 potassium persulfate를 개시제로 하여 라디칼 중합시켜 제조하였다. PAMPS 겔의 구동성을 부여하기 위하여 계면활성제로 팽윤하며 치환하였다. 계면활성제가 치환된 PAMPS 겔은 용액내의 인가된 전압하에서, 그 전기장 변화에 의해 큰 변위를 나타내는 구동특성을 보였다. PAMPS 겔은 빠른 응답속도와 가역적인 bending을 나타내었다. 겔의 구동원리는 양극과 PAMPS 겔 음이온간의 정전기 인력, 겔의 swelling-deswelling 효과 그리고 계면활성제의 소수성 반응의 협동적 과정으로 나타난다. PAMPS 겔의 응답속도는 인가된 전압 및 가교도가 증가할수록 증가하였으며, 구동이 반복적으로 진행됨에 따라 응답속도는 증가하였다. 겔의 두께가 증가하면 응답속도는 감소하였다.

일 종합병원 간호사의 지각된 간호조직특성과 직무만족 (Nursing Organizational Characteristics and Job Satisfaction of Nurses in a general hospital)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the relationship between the nursing organizational characteristics and job satisfaction. Subjects were 362 nurses at a general hospital in Seoul. Data were collected from November 1, 1999 to November 31, 1999 with the structured questionnaires and analyzed by $SPSS-PC^+$ 8.0 for descriptive statistics, ANOVA, Pearson correlation, and stepwise multiple regression. The results were as follows; 1. The average score of the nursing organizational characteristics was 3.7. The score of head nurse's leadership was highest and supervisor's was lowest. The average score of the job satisfaction was 3.1 and was similar to the results of other studies. 2. Being regarded to the nursing organizational characteristics and job satisfaction by general demographic variables, The head nurse's leadership, the supervisor's leadership and interaction, and the overall nursing organizational characteristics showed significant differences by year of career, position status, and service-department(p<.1, p<.05). The job satisfaction showed significant difference by position status(p<.01). 3. There were correlations between the nursing organizational characteristics and job satisfaction(r=0.358-0.815). 4. The most important variable in the job satisfaction was 'organizational climate' and it was explained 32.0% out of the total variance of job satisfaction and 'all of nursing organizational characteristic factors' explained 47.5%. According to the results of this study, the suggestions were as follow: 1. To improve nurses' job satisfaction, the strategy for the development of the cooperative nursing organizational climate and for the strengthening of 'the nursing manager's leadership and interaction' in the nursing department are necessary. It should to be considered the differences in the nursing organizational characteristics and job satisfaction by nursing manager and staff nurses. 2. Further study needed to analysis the organizational climate for the management of the nursing organization. Also it is necessary for further investigation regarding to the relationship between the nursing organizational characteristics and job satisfaction of pre and post-organizational change.

QR코드를 활용한 주제중심 통합학습 설계 사례연구 (A Case Study on Design of Theme-based Integrated Learning by Using QR Code)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 스마트 기기를 활용한 교수-학습 설계와 학습방법에 대한 새로운 접근 및 방향을 제안하는데 있으며, 첨단 매체를 활용하여 학습자 참여를 촉진하는 게임형태의 주제중심 통합학습 교수설계의 사례를 제시하였다. QR코드를 활용한 주제중심 통합학습의 사례인 퀘스트 기반학습은 학습동기, 경험학습, 사회적 상호작용을 촉진하는 역할을 한다. QR코드를 활용한 설계는 자신의 인지구조를 확장하는데 요구되는 사회적 상호작용 전략, 동기증진 전략, 구성 주의에서 강조하는 복잡한 문제 상황과 스캐폴딩 전략이 포함된 학습자 중심 학습 환경을 지원하였다. 스마트 기기를 이용한 게임형 퀘스트 기반학습을 통해 학습에 대한 흥미 증진, 학습자 중심의 참여 학습, 활동중심, 협력학습, 사회적 상호작용을 통한 지식의 창출 측면에 대한 교수 설계에 창의적인 학습 환경을 제공하는 기회를 확인하였다.

집단창의성 발현을 위한 모바일, 온/오프라인 연계 수학 학습 콘텐츠 개발 (Development of mobile, online/offline-linked math learning content to promote group creativity)

  • 본 연구에서는 고등학생의 집단창의성 발현을 돕기 위해 범교과 학습주제인 '환경'과 연계하여 관련 문제를 다항함수로 표현하고 제한된 범위에서 함수의 최댓값과 최솟값을 구하는 모바일, 온/오프라인 연계 수학 학습 콘텐츠를 개발하고자 한다. 이를 위해 학교수학에서의 집단창의성 개념과 발현과정, 집단창의성 발현과정 요소와 모바일, 온/오프라인 구현 기능을 탐색하였다. 이를 바탕으로 모바일, 온/오프라인 연계 협력 학습을 통해 집단창의성을 발현할 수 있는 하이브리드 앱 '지구를 생각하는 Best Box 제작'과 학습관리시스템(LMS)을 개발하였다. 모바일, 온/오프라인을 연계한 수학 학습이 효율적으로 운영될 수 있도록 교수학습지도안도 함께 개발하였다. 예비연구 결과, 하이브리드 앱 '지구를 생각하는 Best Box 제작'은 상호보완적-메타인지적 상호작용을 기반으로 집단유창성과 집단정교성을 구현하기에 적합한 것으로 나타났다.

  • The Haptic Exploration Laboratory at The Johns Hopkins University is currently exploring many problems related to haptics (force and tactile information) in human-machine systems. We divide our work into two main areas: virtual environments and robot-assisted manipulation systems. Our interest in virtual environments focuses on reality-based modeling, in which measurements of the static and dynamic properties of actual objects are taken in order to produce realistic virtual environments. Thus, we must develop methods for acquiring data from real objects and populating pre-defined models. We also seek to create systems that can provide active manipulation assistance to the operator through haptic, visual, and audio cues. These systems may be teleoperated systems, which allow human users to operate in environments that would normally be inaccessible due to hazards, distance, or scale. Alternatively, cooperative manipulation systems allow a user and a robot to share a tool, allowing the user to guide or override the robot directly if necessary. Haptics in human-machine systems can have many applications, such as undersea and space operations, training for pilots and surgeons, and manufacturing. We focus much of our work on medical applications.

The Effects of Pilates Mat Exercise on Trunk Muscle Thickness and Balance

  • Purpose: The aim of this study was to identify the effects of Pilates mat exercise may improve trunk muscle thickness and balance in healthy adults. Methods: Eighteen healthy adults participated in this study. They were randomly assigned to one of two groups: Pilates mat exercise group (n=9) and the control group (n=9). Subjects in Pilates mat exercise group performed the exercises three days per week for 6 weeks, which consisted of warm up, main workout, and cool down. Trunk muscle thickness of the rectus abdominis (RA), internal oblique (IO), external oblique (EO), transverse abdominis (TrA), multifidus (MF), and erector spine (ES) were measured using an ultrasonography. Balance ability was evaluated using Romberg test and limits of stability (LOS). Measurements were performed before training, 3 weeks after training, and 6 weeks after training. Results: There was a significant difference of RA, EO, IO, MF, and ES according to the main effect of time (p<0.05). There was a significant difference of EO, MF, ES, Romberg, and LOS according to interaction effect between the time and group (p<0.05). There was a significant difference only for LOS according to the main effect of the group (p<0.05). Conclusion: Pilates mat exercise did increase trunk muscle thickness and balance. However, the effect with respect to trunk thickness was limited. Pilates mat exercise appears to be more effective in improving muscles related to trunk extension and balance.

Specific Recognition of Unusual DNA Structures by Small Molecules: An Equilibrium Binding Study

  • The binding interaction of ethidium to a series of synthetic deoxyoligonucleotides containing a B-Z junction between left-handed Z-DNA and right-handed B-DNA, was studied. The series of deoxyoligonucleotides was designed so as to vary a dinucleotide step immediately adjacent to a B-Z junction region. Ethidium binds to the right-handed DNA forms and hybrid B-Z forms which contain a B-Z junction, in a highly cooperative manner. In a series of deoxyoligonucleotides, the binding affinity of ethidium with DNA forms which were initially hybrid B-Z forms shows over an order of magnitude higher than that with any other DNA forms, which were entirely in B-form DNA The cooperativity of binding isotherms were described by an allosteric binding model and by a neighbor exclusion model. The binding data were statistically compared for two models. The conformation of allosterically converted DNA forms under binding with ethidium is found to be different from that of the initial B-form DNA as examined by CD spectra. The ratio of the binding constant was interestingly correlated to the free energy of base unstacking and the conformational conversion of the dinucleotide. The more the base stacking of the dinucleotide is unstable, or the harder the conversion of B to A conformation, the higher the ratio of the binding constant of ethidium with the allosterically converted DNA forms and with the initial B-Z hybrid forms. DNA sequence around a B-Z junction region affects the binding affinity of ethidium. The results in this study demonstrate that ethidium could preferentially interact with unusual DNA structures.

Dielectric Relaxation in Ethylene Glycol - Dimethyl Sulfoxide Mixtures as a Function of Composition and Temperature

  • Using time domain reflectometry, the complex dielectric spectra between 10 MHz to 20 GHz has been measured in the whole composition range at 10, 20, 30 and $40^{\circ}C$ for the binary mixtures of ethylene glycol and dimethyl sulfoxide. For all the mixtures, only one dielectric loss peak was observed in this frequency range. The relaxation in these mixtures can be described by a single relaxation time using the Debye model. A systematic variation is observed in dielectric constant (${\varepsilon}_0$) and relaxation time (${\tau}$). The excess permittivity (${\varepsilon}^E$), excess inverse relaxation time $(1/{\tau})^E$, Kirkwood correlation factor (g) and thermodynamic parameters viz. enthalpy of activation (${\Delta}H$) and Gibbs free energy of activation (${\Delta}G$) have been determined, to confirm the formation of hydrogen bonded homogeneous and heterogeneous cooperative domains, the dynamics of solute - solute interaction and the hindrance to molecular rotation in the hydrogen bonded glass forming ethylene glycol - dimethyl sulphoxide system.

멀티미디어 문서의 프리젠테이션 품질 유지를 위한 이벤트 모델링 기법 (An Event Modelling Technique for Maintaining the Presentation Quality of a Multimedia Document)

  • 본 논문에서는 멀티미디어 콘텐츠의 프리젠테이션 품질을 유지하기 위해 멀티미디어 콘텐츠를 처리할 때 발생하는 여러 사건들을 이벤트(event)로 정의하고, 각각의 특징에 따라 여러개의 클래스로 분류하였다. 그리고 이벤트의 처리와 관리에 의해 프리젠테이션 동기화를 처리할 수 있는 모델을 제안하였다. 또한, 쇼(show) 진행에 관련된 실행모듈, 스레드(thread) 등이 이벤트를 이용하여 상호 통신함으로써 프리젠테이션 서비스를 유지하는 방안에 대해 제안하였다. 특히, 제안된 모델에서는 사용자 인터페이스를 통해 사용자가 프리젠테이션 수행에 직접적으로 개입할 수 있을 뿐만 아니라 서비스 과정에서 발생하는 예측 불가능한 상태 변화에 대하여 능동적으로 대처함으로써 멀티미디어 문서의 프리젠테이션 품질을 유지할 수 있도록 하였다.
