수중 환경에서 고분자 전해질 연료전지(PEMFC) 공급용 수소 생산을 위한 가압 디젤 개질시스템에 관한 연구 (Study on Pressurized Diesel Reforming System for Polymer Electrolyte Membrane Fuel Cell in Underwater Environment)

  • Fuel cells have been spotlighted in the world for being highly efficient and environmentally friendly. A hydrogen which is the fuel of fuel cell can be obtained from a number of sources. Hydrogen source for operating the polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cell(PEMFC) in the current underwater environment, such as a submarine and unmanned underwater vehicles are currently from the metal hydride cylinder. However, metal hydride has many limitations for using hydrogen carrier, such as large volume, long charging time, limited storage capacity. To solve these problems, we suggest diesel reformer for hydrogen supply source. Diesel fuel has many advantages, such as high hydrogen storage density, easy to transport and also well-infra structure. However, conventional diesel reforming system for PEMFC requires a large volume and complex CO removal system for lowering the CO level to less than 10 ppm. In addition, because the preferential oxidation(PROX) reaction is the strong exothermic reaction, cooling load is required. By changing this PROX reactor to hydrogen separation membrane, the problem from PROX reactor can be solved. This is because hydrogen separation membranes are small and permeable to pure hydrogen. In this study, we conducted the pressurized diesel reforming and water-gas shift reaction experiment for the hydrogen separation membrane application. Then, the hydrogen permeation experiments were performed using a Pd alloy membrane for the reformate gas.

WASTE CLASSIFICATION OF 17×17 KOFA SPENT FUEL ASSEMBLY HARDWARE

  • Metal waste generated from the pyroprocessing of 10 MtU of spent fuel was classified by comparing the specific activity of a relevant radionuclide with the limit value of the specific activity specified in the Korean acceptance criteria for a lowand intermediate-level waste repository. A Korean Optimized Fuel Assembly design with a 17${\times}$17 array, an initial enrichment of 4.5 weight-percent, discharge burn-up of 55 GWD/MtU, and a 10-year cooling time was considered. Initially, the mass and volume of each structural component of the assembly were calculated in detail, and a source term analysis was subsequently performed using ORIGEN-S for these components. An activation cross-section library generated by the KENO-VI/ORIGEN-S module was utilized for top-end and bottom-end pieces. As a result, an Inconel grid plate, a SUS plenum spring, a SUS guide tube subpart, SUS top-end and bottom-end pieces, and an Inconel top-end leaf spring were determined to be unacceptable for the Gyeongju low- and intermediate-level waste repository, as these waste products exceeded the acceptance criteria. In contrast, a Zircaloy grid plate and guide tube can be placed in the Gyeongju repository. Non-contaminated Zircaloy cladding occupying 76% of the metal waste was found to have a lower level of specific activity than the limit value. However, Zircaloy cladding contaminated by fission products and actinides during the decladding process of pyroprocessing was revealed to have 52 and 2 times higher specific activity levels than the limit values for alpha and $^{90}Sr$, respectively. Finally, it was found that 88.7% of the metal waste from the 17${\times}$17 Korean Optimized Fuel Assembly design should be disposed of in a deep geological repository. Therefore, it can be summarized that separation technology with a higher decontamination factor for transuranics and strontium should be developed for the efficient management of metal waste resulting from pyroprocessing.

초소형 바이너리 발전 플랜트를 위한 Neuro PID 제어 (Neuro PID Control for Ultra-Compact Binary Power Generation Plant)

  • 초소형 바이너리 발전 플랜트는 열원과 냉각원 사이의 저온도차 열에너지를 이용하여 열에너지를 전력으로 변환한다. 실제 발전환경에서 플랜트의 특성치는 환경 조건이나 관련 장비의 부식과 같은 부정적인 영향으로 인해 변동하고, 플랜트 특성치의 변동은 PID 파라미터가 고정된 종래의 PID 제어시스템에서 불안정한 터빈 출력으로 이어진다. 본 논문에서는 플랜트의 특성치 변동에 따라 PID 파라미터를 적응적으로 조정하는 신경망 기반의 Neuro PID 제어시스템을 제안한다. 초소형 바이너리 발전 플랜트의 동작점 근방에서 동특성을 나타내는 이산시간 전달함수 모델을 도출하고, 제안된 제어시스템의 설계 전략을 기술한다. 제안된 Neuro PID 제어시스템을 종래의 PID 제어시스템과 비교하고, 시뮬레이션 결과를 통해 그 유효성을 보인다.

군사시설 내 지열 히트펌프 시스템 적용에 따른 에너지 성능과 비용 절감 효과 평가 (Energy Performance and Cost Assessment for Implementing GroundSource Heat Pump System in Military Building)

  • The Ministry of National Defense of the Republic of Korea is showing a lot of interest in net zero-energy buildings (NZEBs) to reduce energy consumption of military facilities and to promote green growth policy in military sector. The application of building passive technologies and renewable energies is essential to achieving NZEBs. This paper analyzed energy performance and energy cost on the conventional heating and cooling system (baseline scenario) and three different alternative scenarios (ALT 1, ALT 2 and ALT 3) applied in a hypothetical military building. A building modeling and simulation software (DesignBuilder V6.1) with EnergyPlus calculation engine was used to calculate the energy consumption for each scenario. Overall, when the GSHPs are applied to both space airconditioning and domestic hot water (DHW) production, Alt-2 and Alt-3, the amount of energy consumption for target building can be greatly reduced. In addition, when the building envelope performance is increased like Alt-3, the energy consumption can be further reduced. The annual energy cost analysis showed that the baseline was approximately 161 million KRW, while Alt-3 was approximately 33 million KRW. Therefore, it was analyzed that the initial construction cost increase could be recovered within about 6.7 years for ALT 3. The results of this study can help decision-makers to determine the optimal strategy for implementing GSHP systems in military buildings through energy performance and initial construction cost assessment.

당면의 제조공정별 미생물학적 위해요소 분석 (Microbial Hazard Analysis of Manufacturing Processes for Starch Noodle)

  • 본 연구는 당면의 원 부재료 및 제조공정별 위해요소분석을 실시하여 현장에 적용할 수 있는 HACCP 관리를 위한 과학적 근거자료를 마련하고자 하였다. 원 부재료, 공정별, 최종 제품, 기기 및 기구류, 환경으로부터 샘플을 수집하고, 미생물 분석은 일반세균, 대장균군, 대장균, 장내세균과 병원성 세균 5종(B. cereus, E. coli O157:H7, L. monocytogenes, Salmonella spp., S. aureus)에 대해 실시하였다. 원재료인 고구마 전분은 일반세균 3.02 log CFU/g로 나타났고, 대장균군, 장내세균은 불검출되었다. 키토산과 냉각수에서 각각 일반세균 3.47 log CFU/g, 2.72 log CFU/g로 검출되었다. 코팅수는 일반세균, 대장균군, 장내세균이 각각 6.45 log CFU/g, 4.13 log CFU/g, 4.73 log CFU/g로 검출되었다. 반죽은 일반세균, 대장균군, 장내세균 각각 4.31 log CFU/g, 2.71 log CFU/g, 2.88 log CFU/g으로 나타났으며, 호화 후 시료에서 일반세균 1.63 log CFU/g으로 감소하였다. 그러나 호화 이후의 공정부터 꾸준히 증가하여 최종 제품까지 일반세균 수가 약 5 log CFU/g로 일정한 수준을 유지하였다. 같은 업체에서 생산된 제품이라도 물리적인 조작이 추가된 제품에서 미생물 오염도가 높게 나타났다. 모든 시료에서 대장균과 병원성 세균은 검출되지 않았다. 기기 및 기구류 중 면대와 면을 걸어두는 기구에서 각각 일반세균 1.83-5.74 log CFU/$100cm^2$, 3.34-4.48 CFU/$100cm^2$로 검출되어 불만족 수준으로 확인되었다. 따라서 교차오염을 방지하기 위해 기기 및 기구류의 적절한 세척 소독 관리가 필요한 것으로 사료된다. 구역별로 공중 낙하균의 오염도를 분석한 결과, 반죽실, 절단구역, 숙성실, 포장실은 청정구역으로 만족범위, 타개실과 건조실은 허용범위로 나타났다. 외부에 노출되어 있는 해동실의 경우 검출균수가 높게 나타났으며 문이나 개폐장치로 추가적인 관리가 필요한 것으로 보인다. 앞선 실험결과를 바탕으로 호화 공정을 미생물학적 관리 지점으로 관리해야 하며 교차오염 방지와 선행요건 프로그램으로 관리되어야 할 것이다.

농업 기후 정보 생산을 위한 미래 기후 자료 처리 GrADS 및 R 프로그램 구현 (Implementation of GrADS and R Scripts for Processing Future Climate Data to Produce Agricultural Climate Information)

  • A set of scripts for GrADS (Grid Analysis and Display System) and R was implemented to produce agricultural climate information using the future climate scenarios based on the Representative Concentration Pathways. The GrADS script was used to calculate agricultural climate indices including growing degree days and cooling degree days. The script generated agricultural climate maps of these indices, which are compatible with common Geographic Information System (GIS) applications. To perform a statistical analysis using the agricultural climate maps, a script for R, which is open source statistical software, was used. Because a large number of spatial climate data were produced, parallel processing packages such as SNOW, doSNOW, and foreach were used to perform a simple statistical analysis in the R script. The parallel script of R had speedup on workstations with multi-CPU cores.

고효율 수퍼히트펌프에 관한 전산 해석 (Computer Simulation of a Super-Heat Pump System)

  • A super-heat pump system composed of a suction line heat exchanger, low and high stage economizers, and a screw compressor is simulated to examine the energy performance and design options. CFC12, HCFC22, HFC134a, HCFC22/HCFC142b, HFC32/HFC134a, and HFC125/HFC134a are used as working fluids for comparison. The results indicate that the proposed system charged with appropriate mixtures is up to 33.4% more energy efficient than the normal system with CFC12. The performance of the super-heat pump system charged with mixtures was influenced by such factors as the temperature matching, heat source temperature difference, low stage economizer, and high stage economizer. The fluids with a larger liquid specific heat such as HFC134a would have more benefits when a suction line heat exchanger is installed. 40%HCFC22/60%HCFC142b mixture seems to be a good candidate to replace CFC12. On the other hand, 25%HFC32/75% HFC134a would be a good long term candidate to replace HCFC22.

에너지회생스너버를 적용한 하이브리드 3레벨 DC/DC 컨버터 (Hybrid Three-Level DC/DC Converter using an Energy Recovery Snubber)

  • This paper describes a hybrid multi-output three-level DC/DC converter suitable for a wide, high-input voltage range of an auxiliary power supply for a high-power photovoltaic generating system. In a high-power photovoltaic generating system, the solar panel output voltage depends on solar radiation quantity and varies from 450Vdc to 1100Vdc. The proposed hybrid multi-output three-level DC/DC converter, which is an auxiliary power supply, would be used as power source for control printed circuit boards and relay and cooling fans in a high-power photovoltaic generating system. The proposed multi-output ($24V_{DC}/30A$, $230V_{DC}/5A$) hybrid three-level boost converter, which uses an energy recovery snubber, is controlled by variable-frequency and phase-shifted modulations and can achieve zero-voltage switching with all operating conditions of input voltage and load range. Experimental results of a 2kW prototype are evaluated and implemented to verify the performance of the proposed converter.

  • An experimental study was carried out on the characteristics of the mixed-convection heat transfer from a protruding heat source module which had uniform heat flux and was located on a flat plate in the inclined channel. The effects of the inclined channel(${\varphi}=0{\sim}90^{\circ}$) was studied for the input power($Q=3,\;7W$) and inlet air velocities($V_{i}=0.1{\sim}0.9m/s$). Experimental results indicate that the input power was most effective parameter on the temperature differences between inlet air and module. The effects of the inclined angle was negligible when the inlet velocities were above 0.5m/s and 0.9m/s at Q = 3W, 7W respectively. As the inclined angle of the channel increases, the temperatures of the module are decreased. So we obtained the best condition on the adiabatic board at the vertical channel.

청송 남.동부 무포산응회암의 흐름 지시자로부터 유향 결정 (Determination of Flow Direction from Flow Indicators in the Muposan Tuff, Southern and Eastern Cheongsong, Korea)

  • 청송 무포산응회암은 경상분지 북동부 화산암류에서 하나의 냉각단위로 구별되는 층서단위이다. 이 응회암은 그 입도에 의하면 대부분 응회암에 속하고 구성원에 의하면 파리질 응회암에 속한다. 대부분 부석과 샤드가 일정하게 배열되고 심하게 편평화되어 용결엽리를 발달시키며 여러 가지 흐름지시자를 보여준다. 무포산응회암에서 부석 정향배열에 의한 유상선구조로부터 이동 패턴, 암편과 부석의 와상배열, 용결엽리의 비대칭 유상습곡 등의 흐름 지시자, 암편과 부석의 최대입경의 측방점이, 그리고 구성원 함량의 측방점이에 의하면 이 응회암을 집적시킨 화쇄류는 남동부에서 공급되었던 것으로 해석된다.
