Effect of skeletal muscle of adolescents on physical strength, physique, and motor coordination

  • This study aims to analyze the relative importance of bone age and chronological age in physique according to gender and to identify the relative importance of bone age, chronological age, and physique in physical fitness and motor coordination according to gender in order to alleviate the imbalance between physique and physical fitness in children. A total of 666 children(346 males, 320 females) between the ages of 11-14 were enrolled as subjects, and the skeletal maturation The skeletal maturation were measured by taking hand-wrist. Physical fitness were measured through a total of 4 components: muscular strength. The results of this study. First, physique variables for both males and females aged 11-14 were found to be more significant predictors of bone age than chronological age. Second, for physical fitness in males, in the order of %fat, body water, waist-hip ratio, weight, fat-free mass, and chronological age were more significant predictor variables; and in females, in the order of %fat, fat-free mass, height, chronological age, weight, bone age, fat mass, and body water were more significant predictor variables. For bone age and chronological age in physical fitness, bone age in males and chronological age in females found to be the more representative variables respectively.

Region of Interest Localization for Bone Age Estimation Using Whole-Body Bone Scintigraphy

  • In the past decade, deep learning has been applied to various medical image analysis tasks. Skeletal bone age estimation is clinically important as it can help prevent age-related illness and pave the way for new anti-aging therapies. Recent research has applied deep learning techniques to the task of bone age assessment and achieved positive results. In this paper, we propose a bone age prediction method using a deep convolutional neural network. Specifically, we first train a classification model that automatically localizes the most discriminative region of an image and crops it from the original image. The regions of interest are then used as input for a regression model to estimate the age of the patient. The experiments are conducted on a whole-body scintigraphy dataset that was collected by Chonnam National University Hwasun Hospital. The experimental results illustrate the potential of our proposed method, which has a mean absolute error of 3.35 years. Our proposed framework can be used as a robust supporting tool for clinicians to prevent age-related diseases.

항공 관련 소셜미디어 이용자의 성별, 연령, 이용 동기, 민감도와 정보수용의 융합적 영향 연구 (The Convergence Effect of Gender, Age, Motivation, Sensitivity and Information Acceptance of Aviation Related Social Media Users)

  • 본 논문은 항공 관련 소셜미디어의 정보수용에 있어 이용 동기와 민감도, 성별과 연령을 융합하여 이용태도와 행동을 예측하기 위해 연구를 시행하였다. 구체적으로 성별과 연령에 따른 소셜미디어 정보수용의 차이, 이용 동기와 민감도는 정보수용에 어떤 영향을 미치는지 알아보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 2018년 4월 19일부터 5월 3일까지 온라인 전국 패널 20세 이상 성인을 대상으로 하여 성별과 연령의 편중을 막기 위해 고른 분포로 자료수집을 하였다. 연구결과, 성별과 연령에서 여성과 연령이 낮을수록 소셜미디어 정보수용에 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤다. 이용 동기는 정보수용에 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 민감도에는 정보수용에 부(-)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이를 통해 성별, 연령 등 이용자 계층과 이용 동기, 민감도가 정보수용에 영향을 준다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 또한, 민감도 요인의 부정적인 면도 파악할 수 있어, 항공 관련 소셜미디어 마케팅 전략의 기초자료로 활용할 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.

  • In this paper, we develop business models for the robot industry that facilitates to explore new business opportunities in the convergence age. Considering the trend of convergence society, we analyze the market drivers. Analyzing market dynamics and value chain, we design a set of the business model for the robot industry focused on u-health robots. In addition, we describe the evolution path of the proposed business model in terms of technology development and market. Finally, we develop a framework for evaluating the effectiveness of the business model.

고령자의 디지털금융서비스 기술수용 연구: 고령자 기술수용모형(STAM)을 중심으로 (A Study on the Acceptance of Digital Financial Services Technology for Older Adults: Focusing on the Senior Technology Acceptance Model)

  • This study aims to analyze older adults's intention to use digital financial services. To verify the purpose, the '2022 Korean Senior Technology Acceptance Panel Survey' data were used. And a shortened Senior Technology Acceptance Model(STAM) reflecting the characteristics of older adults was applied. The results of Structural Equation Model analysis are as follows. First, the lower gerontechnology anxiety, the higher control beliefs reflecting perceived ease of use, self-efficacy and facilitating conditions and the intention to use digital financial services. Second, the health factor had a positive effect on the control beliefs. Third, the higher the control beliefs, the higher the attitudinal beliefs reflecting perceived usefulness and attitude and the intention to use digital financial services. Lastly, the higher attitudinal beliefs, the higher the intention to use digital financial services. The results suggest the need for interventions that can relieve gerontechnology anxiety and strengthen positive perceptions about control beliefs and attitudinal beliefs in order to increase older adults's intention to use digital financial services.

고령임부의 생활스트레스 (Life Stress of Advanced Maternal Age)

  • The purpose of this study is to compare life stress between primigravida and multigravida in advanced maternal age. A cross-sectional study was performed for 133 pregnancy women (primigravida group 53, multigravida group 80). The all women were old age (${\geq}35years$) and pregnant. We used the questionnaire to self-report general characteristics, obstetric characteristics and life stress. The average of participants age was 36.15 years old, primigravida was 36.08 and multigravida was 36.19. The mean of total life stress score was 2.68 and the total life score for pregnant women of lower education level was higher. The marital relationship of primigravida was lower than multigravida(mean, .06 vs. .26; p=.021). As our study shows that stress of marital relationship is higher in the multigravida than primigravida, the life stress care for advanced maternal age is important.

여성의 폐경과 모유수유 기간 및 첫출산 연령과 대사증후군의 연관성에 관한 융합적 고찰 (A convergence of association between menopause, breastfeeding and first birth age and metabolic syndrome in Women)

  • 본 연구는 여성의 건강요인과 대사증후군의 상관성을 연구하기 위해 2012-2014년 국민건강영양조사 원시자료를 이용하여 최종 6743명을 분석대상자로 하였다. 여성건강과 대사증후군과의 관련성을 보기 위한 나이 지역, 가구수입, 흡연, 직업을 보정 한 모델에서 폐경 전보다 폐경후가 1.44배 (95% CI:1.09-1.90)로 높아 유의하였고 첫 출산 연령군은 25세 이하 출산 연령군에 비교하여 26-30 세 그룹에서는 0.81배 (95% CI: 0.68-0.98), 31세 이상은 0.62배 (95% CI: 0.45-0.87)로 첫출산 연령이 높아질수록 대사증후군의 위험이 감소하였다. 결론적으로 대사증후군은 폐경과 첫출산 연령과 밀접하게 연관되어 있으며 향후 여성을 대상으로 하는 교육 프로그램을 개발함에 있어서 기초자료로 활용하고자 한다.

Analysis of environmental effects affecting reproductive traits of primiparous and multiparous Hanwoo

  • Improving the reproductive traits of Hanwoo might decrease their production cost. Therefore, this study was conducted to investigate the effects of environmental factors [registration grade (basic, pedigree or advanced), birth year, birth season, parity, delivery year, and delivery season] on various reproductive traits (age at 1st service, age at 1st conception, age for 1st calving, days at 1st service postpartum, non-pregnant condition period, calving interval, gestation length, and number of services for conception) in Hanwoo (primiparous 12,219 heads, multiparous 10,471 heads). All data was acquired from Gyeongnam province areas which were surveyed from 2007 to 2015. All environmental factors significantly influenced (p < 0.01) reproductive traits of primiparous cows but, but not all environmental factors influenced multiparous cows. Primiparous cows registered as advanced grade showed significantly lower age at 1st service (by 15.36 days), age at 1st conception (by 8.66 days), and age for 1st calving (by 8.77 days) (p < 0.01) than those registered as basic grades. Age at 1st service, age at 1st conception and age for 1st calving were not significantly related to birth year in primiparous cows. As delivery years advanced from 2005 to 2012, all durations associated to reproductive traits tended to be shorter. Days at 1st service postpartum, non-pregnant condition period, and calving interval tended to be shortened as parity increased. Days at 1st service postpartum, days open, calving interval, and gestation in multiparous cows calved in winter were shorter than those in summer. The registration grade was not a effected with reproductive traits in Hanwoo.

인셉션 모듈 기반 컨볼루션 신경망을 이용한 얼굴 연령 예측 (Facial Age Estimation Using Convolutional Neural Networks Based on Inception Modules)

  • Automatic age estimation has been used in many social network applications, practical commercial applications, and human-computer interaction visual-surveillance biometrics. However, it has rarely been explored. In this paper, we propose an automatic age estimation system, which includes face detection and convolutional deep learning based on an inception module. The latter is a 22-layer-deep network that serves as the particular category of the inception design. To evaluate the proposed approach, we use 4,000 images of eight different age groups from the Adience age dataset. k-fold cross-validation (k = 5) is applied. A comparison of the performance of the proposed work and recent related methods is presented. The results show that the proposed method significantly outperforms existing methods in terms of the exact accuracy and off-by-one accuracy. The off-by-one accuracy is when the result is off by one adjacent age label to the above or below. For the exact accuracy, the age label of "60+" is classified with the highest accuracy of 76%.

융복합시대 중년기성인의 내외통제성이 생활만족도 및 노후준비에 미치는 영향 (The influence of the locus of control of middle aged on life satisfaction and preparation for old age among in the times of convergence)

  • 본 연구는 초고령 사회로의 진입이 예고된 가운데 다양한 심리적, 경제적인 난제로 위협을 받고 있는 융복합시대 중년기 성인들이, 어떻게 내적 또는 외적통제성을 발휘하여 생활만족도라는 현실의 인지정서적 균형과 노후준비라는 발달과업을 수행하고 있는가를 파악하고자 하였다. 이에 중년기 성인의 내외통제성을 독립변인으로, 생활만족도 및 노후준비를 종속변인으로 설정하여 검증하였고, 최종적으로 284부의 설문이 결과분석에 사용되었다. 연구결과, 중년기의 내통제성이 생활만족을 높이고, 실제적인 노후준비에도 긍정적인 영향을 미치고 있음을 확인하였다. 또한 생활만족과 노후준비 간에도 서로 상관관계를 나타냈다. 이에, 내통제성과 같은 인간의 심리적 내적자원이 개인의 현실적 삶의 만족과 노후준비와 같은 발달과업에 긍정적인 영향요인임을 확인하였다.
