A Study on performance improvement of MMSE Multi-User Detector (MMSE 다중사용자 검출기의 성능 향상에 관한 연구)

  • In this paper, an improved detection method is proposed by supplementing various types of Multi-Path gam for a MMSE Multi-User detecter. This method is proposed to complement the shortcomings of the conventional detection method which is used for multiuser detection in STBC(Space-Time Block Code) CDMA system. We analyzed the improved method in bit error probability viewpoint and compared the result with that of the conventional method. In this result, we showed that the improved method obtains better performance of bit error probability than the conventional method when parameters such as delay, number of user and SNR are changed.

Comparison of the characteristics of Al(III) hydrolyzed species by improved ferron assay test (개선된 Ferron 분석 비교를 통한 Al(III) 가수분해종 특성 연구)

  • In this study, newly improved Ferron assay test haved on timed spectrometry was used for the determination of hyolrolytic Al species presented in PACl coagulant. The color development reagent ferron was prepared by using conventional method and two newly developed methods. Then the ferron assay test was used to compare and analyze the distribution of Al(III) hydrolyzed species presented in the prepared PACl and alum. The preparing method of reagent A required an aging period of 7 days by adding a hydroxylamine hydroxide and a 1,10-phenanthroline monohydrate reagent, whereas the preparing method of reagent B was used as a coloring agent immediately without aging time. The regression analysis between UV absorbance and Al concentrations of conventional method and newly developed method of ferron reagents in low-concentration aluminum solutions and high-concentration aluminum solutions, showed the correlation coefficients of 0.999 or higher, as showing high correlations of conventional method and newly developed method. Applying Ferron assay test, Al species in the PACls and alum were classified as Ala(monomeric Al), Alb (polymeric Al), and Alc (colloidal and precipitated Al). Distribution of Al(III) hydrolyzed species according to the preparation of ferron colorimetric reagents was similar.

Studies on the Horizontal Hanging Method in Burley Tobacco Stalk-curing (버어리종 잎담배 대말림시 수평대걸기에 관한 연구)

  • This study was carried out to develop a new stalk curing of the horizontal hanging method that would reduce the harvesting and curing labor, and improve its quality of cured leaf than the conventional stalk curing method in burley tobacco. The horizontal hanging stalk-curing method designed from 1988 was compared with the conventional method. The horizontal method shortened the curing Period for 7 days and reduced to 0.3%, while it occurred 9.4% in the vertical method. In the horizontal method, the quality of cured leaf improved 9%, but the contents of chemical components and physical properties were similar to those of vertical method. The labor of stalk-cut and loading in curing facility reduced 28% by the horizontal method. In harvesting and curing process, the horizontal method resulted 12% of labor saving as compared with the vertical method.   • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of thermal treatments, such as a sous-vide and a conventional hot water cooking, on the texture changes of soybean sprout. A novel method to measure texture properties of soybean sprout have been determined because of the irregular geometry of soybean sprout. The shape of cotyledon of bean spout was accurately analyzed using an image processing and a geometry model. To minimize the effect of the contact area on the texture measurement, a blade type of probe was selected for the measurement. True stress was evaluated to reflect the shape changes during deformation, and demonstrated that the measurement accurately distinguished the effect of thermal treatment on the texture. Different heating time (i.e., 0, 10, 20, and 30 min) was applied for both sous-vide and conventional cooking. Thermal processing caused hardening of textures for both cotyledon and hypocotyl of soybean sprout. The conventional cooking method showed higher stress values than those of sous-vide cooking. Sprouts cooked by sous-vide released the moisture after thermal processing while sprout cooked by a conventional water bath method could hold the moisture content during thermal processing. The soybean sprouts treated by conventional cooking method showed a higher score in sensory evaluation.

  • Benzothieno[2,3-d]pyrimidines (2,3,4) and benzothieno[3,2-e][1,3,4]triazolo[4,3-c] pyrimidines (5a-c) were synthesized from the precursor 2-amino-7-oxo-4,5,6,7-tetrahydro-1-benzothiophene-3-carbonitrile 1 by employing the conventional method as well as the microwave irradiation technique. The precursor 2-amino-3-cyanothiophene analogue 1 was synthesized by employing the well-known Gewald reaction. In the present work it has been found that the microwave supported syntheses are more efficient than the conventional classical heating methods. The structures of all the compounds were ascertained by spectral and analytical data.

  • Nowadays, with increasing many vehicles on restricted roads, the conventional traffic light creates prove startup-delaytime and end-lag-time. The conventional traffic light loses the function of optimal cycle. And so, 30∼45% of conventional traffic cycle is not matched to the present traffic cycle. In this paper proposes electrosensitive traffic light using fuzzy look up table method which will reduce the average vehicle waiting time and improve average vehicle speed. Computer simulation results prove that reducing the average vehicle waiting time which proposed considering passing vehicle length for optimal traffic cycle is better than fixed signal method which doesn't consider vehicle length.

  • The conventional and new forming processes of a steel shell body are analyzed by the rigid-plastic finite element method. The conventional process contains five forming stages such as bending, drawing, ironing, heading and sizing, which was designed by a forming equipment expert. The results of simulation of the conventional forming process are summarized in terms of deformation patterns and load-stroke relationships for each forming operation. Based on the simulation results of the current five-stage, the shell body forming Process including backward extrusion is designed for improving the conventional process sequence. Forming loads of the proposed process are within the limit value, which is proposed by experts and the proposed process is found to be proper for manufacturing steel shell body.

  • The conventional typical techniques as fast codebook generation methods are PDS, FNNS, and FC. In this paper, we propose FCNNPDS integrated the conventional methods to generate a codebook. The results of simulations show that the computational magnitude of FCNNPDS is reduced to 40-95% lower than conventional techniques. But comparison computation has no relation with k dimension of vectors, that is, because the computational magnitude of comparison is smaller than others, therefore FCNNPDS may be the best method than the conventional methods.

  • The purpose of this study was to develop a slacks pattern drafting method for the fatty women of 40∼55 aged Korean women who are more than 1.5 Rohrer's index on the basis of their physical characteristics. The study was composed as follows; 1. Body measurement and statistical analysis: One hundred and thirty women between the ages of 40∼55 over 1.5 Rohrer's index were measured on 21 items. Mean, standard deviation, variance, maximum, minimum, range were computed. 2. 4 types of conventional slacks pattern were collected. The most accepted conventional slacks pattern was decided through wearing test. The new pattern was based onthe most accepted conventional pattern, and developed through wearing tests. 3. Evaluation of the new pattern drafting method: The sensory evaluation was applied to evaluate the new pattern by comparing is with the most accepted conventional pattern. According to the statistical analysis of the result of the 12 items, all the items showed significant differences (α 0.01) between the two, with the new pattern having higher scores.
