Noise and Vibration Analysis of a cylindrical shell by controlling ER mount (ER마운트 제어에 의한 원통셸의 진동소음 해석)

  • ER mount is often used instead of rubber mount in cylindrical shell to improve the vibration and noise performanec. The noise radiated by cylindrical shell will be reduced by reducing the force transmitted to the cylindrical shell through ER mount. In this paper, LQ control theory is used to reduce the transmitted force to the cylindrical shell. The finite element method of cylindrical shell is formulated by NASTRAN and its vibrating shape is calculated in frequency domain. (omitted)

  • This paper presents vibration control performances and stability evaluations of railway vehicle featuring controllable magnetorheological (MR) damper. The MR damper model is developed and then incorporated with the governing equations of motion of the railway vehicle which includes vehicle body, bogie and wheel-set. A cylindrical type of MR damper is devised and its damping force is evaluated by considering fluid viscosity and MR effect. Design parameters are determined to achieve desired damping force level applicable to real railway vehicle. Subsequently, computer simulation of vibration control and stability analysis is performed using Matlab Simulink.

A Comparative Study on the Effect of Whole Body Vibration on DOMS, Depending on Time Mediation

  • The experiments were carried out during a total of nine sessions, that is, 3 sessions over 3 days. The CK levels decreased depending on the experiment session ($P{\leq}0.05$), but there was no significant difference ($P{\leq}0.05$) between the experimental group and the control group. Pressure threshold levels significantly decreased depending on the experiment session and the treatments had higher effects in the experimental group. VAS figures significantly decreased depending on the experiment session ($P{\leq}0.005$) and the treatments had higher effects in the experimental group. The results of this study verified the contention that applying vibration treatment immediately after inducing DOMS is more effective in terms of pressure pain threshold (PPT) and VAS, but not CK levels, than applying the treatment 24 hours after inducing DOMS. In addition, the experimental group showed a statistically significant difference compared to the control group. Therefore, it was concluded that applying vibration treatment immediately after inducing DOMS can be used as a DOMS treatment method.

  • 정밀장비의 내진 및 방진설계에 대한 일반적인 procedure를 제시하고 이를 정밀제어 장비인 HDD CELL에 적용하였다. 정밀장비의 내진 설계를 위해서 는 정확한 진동 허용규제치와 정밀장비가 설치되는 구조물의 진동 환경에 대한 데이터를 확보하는 것이 우선적으로 해야할 일이다. 구조물의 진동은 직접 측정을 하거나 설계 자료를 이용하는 것이 가능하지만 진동 허용규제치는 장비 제작사에서 진동환경시험을 통하여 얻어진 자료를 사용 자에게 제시하는 것이 일반적인 과정이다. 그러나 고도의 정밀성을 요하는 장비 전체를 가진 테이블에 설치하여 진동환경시험을 수행하는 일은 시간과 경제적인 측면에서 유익하지 못하다. 그러한 면에서 본 논문에 제시한 진동 허용가진력 규제치를 이용한 정밀장비의 내진 및 방진의 정량적인 설계뿐만 아니라 진동 허용규제치를 손쉽게 구할 수 있다는 점에서 유익하다 하겠다.

  • This paper is to identify the position of random disturbance on flexible dynamic system, and the position of the piezo ceramic actuator 0 minimize tip response. Correlation of the output signals from each parts on flexible system is used to identify the position of random disturbance. Except the correlation with an output signal from the position of random disturbance, other correlations have time delay. This is a base idea to identify the position on this study.

  • The characteristics and effectiveness of double tuned mass dampers (DTMD) have been studied by many researchers. DTMD usually consists of one larger mass block and one smaller mass block. In this study, DTMD was proposed to reduce the vibration of vertical pumps in industrial plants. In order to assess the efficiency of the proposed method, numerical analysis for the simplified vertical pump model with single and double TMDs was carried out. It was also investigated that the effects of optimal TMD parameters such as frequency ratio and damping ratio on dynamic responses of the main structure. According to analysis results, DTMD are more effective to control the vibration of the vertical pump and show good robustness to the change in the stiffness of TMD.

  • The study on prevention measures for vibration and excavation of tunnel for the #3, #4, Seoul Subway. In the Seoul subway tunnel blasting, the drilling pattern and prevention method to seismic vibration are as follows as well as for adaptions of NATM, the supportings of roof and wall holes are arranged with control blasting. 1. The blasting is executed basically using the low velocity explosive such as slurry, Nitrate ammonium explosive, and F-I and F-II explosive for control blasting substituting of existing dynamite. 2. The cut holes are arranged with burn cut pattern and also must be arranged with M/S electrical delay caps substituting of ordinary do]ay caps. 3. Jack leg drills are used in Five Job sites and a jumbo drill in one job site. 4. In performance of safety work and in maintenance of building safety. The drilling length for blasting will not exceed 1.20 meter for round so that the vibration value shall carry below 0.3cm/sec. The harmonizing of better powder, better drilling machine and better technique is only the way of improving tunnelling efficiency and less vibration will help the dereasing of accidence.

  • In the 2-mass system with flexible shaft, a torsional vibration is often generated because of the elastic elements in torque transmission as the newly required speed response which is very close to the primary resonant frequency. This vibration makes it difficult to achieve quick responses of speed and disturbance rejection. In this paper, 2-mass system is designed by using pole placement based on optimal control theory fur fast speed response and torsional vibration elimination and using neural network for disturbance rejection in particular. The simulation results show that the proposed controller based on neural network and full state feedback controller has better performance than 려ll state feedback controller, especially fur disturbance rejection.

  • This paper presents the property of the Squeeze Film Damper (SFD) using Magneto-Rheological fluid (MR fluid). The damping property of a SFD for a flexible rotor system varied according to vibration mode. MR fluid is known as a functional fluid with controllable apparent viscosity of the fluid by applied magnetic field strength. When the MR fluid is applied in the SFD, the SFD using MR fluid can effectively reduce vibrations of the flexible rotor in a wide range of rotating speed by control of the applied magnetic field strength. To investigate in detail the SFD using MR fluid, the SFD to support one mass was constructed and its performance was experimentally investigated in the present study. The damping property of the SFD using MR fluid has viscous damping by Newtonian fluid, but not Coulomb friction by Bingham fluid. Therefore, The system damped by the SFD can be considered as a linear system.
