  • Nano drive control of five phase stepping motors is developed based on computational intelligence technology and it enables to drive into 5 million equiangular parts per revolution with keeping normal speed and torques. The experimental results of realizing high resolution/accuracy with low vibration and decreasing both heat loss and electric power consumption are mentioned.

압전 지능구조물의 원리와 소음제어에의 응용

  • 이 글은 소음 진동분야에 종사하는 분들에게 압전형 지능구조물을 소개하면서 소음 분야의 응용예 및 활용 가능성 그리고 앞으로의 과제들을 알리고자 한다. 지능 구조물이란 감지기(sensor)와 가진기(actuator) 그리고 제어기(control logic)가 구조물에 합해져서 능동적인 기능을 갖고 있는 것으로서 주위 환경의 변화를 감지하여 이에 대처하는 거동을 하는 구조물이다. 예를 들어, 기계적인 지능구조물은 그 위치 나 속도 또는 구조물의 강성도나 감쇠 성질을 변화시키는 구조물이다. 따라서 이러한 적응력을 갖춘 구조물은 많은 공학 분야에 큰 영향을 주고 있으며 소음제어 분야에 있어서도 큰 기대가 된다.

Autopilot for Safe Landing in the Microburst (마이크로버스트를 통과하는 비행기의 안전착륙을 위한 자동조종장치)

  • A state feedback controller and an observer have been developed and analyzed for an aircraft's safe landing in the windshear called microburst. The observer estimates the ambient wind field as well as the full-order longitudinal state vector. The controller uses the wind and state estimates for guiding the control inputs for safe landing. For the observer and controller gains, the design methodologies of linear quadratic estimation and linear quadratic regulation have been exploited. Analysis shows that some of the microburst-induced aircraft accidents in the past might have been avoided with the designed autopilot.

  • Recently, with the rapid development of the waveguide division multiplexing (WDM) systems for large capacity and flexibility of information network, the broad band 1.5$\mu\textrm{m}$ erbium-doped waveguide amplifier (EDWA) become important. The main factors affecting the performance of sol-gel-based waveguides are non-radiative relaxation channels due to rare-earth concentration quenching and to vibration of the OH groups Therefore, the sol-gel process has to be carefully controlled in order to minimize the residual OH content.

  • To reduce acoustic noise level of an AV projector, primary noise sources of AV projector were analyzed. Based on the analyzed result, methods to control each source are presented and tried. Structure-borne noise can be controlled by anti vibration design of mounting system, and air-borne noise by reducing flow resisitvity.

  • This paper proposes a continuous hitting by a flexible link hammer. This hammer system is used only the first mode of vibration for a desired hitting. The input of the hammer driver for a continuous hitting is obtained from numerical solutions of two sets of non-linear simultaneous equations which satisfy the hitting conditions. Being too complicated, these numerical calculations are not useful for online processing. Therefore, the multi-layered neural networks are applied to the generation of the input patterns of the hammer driver. The trained network outputs agree well to the numerical solutions.

  • 압전 센서와 액츄에이터를 이용한 단순지지 평판의 능동 진동제어에 관한 실험적 고찰을 하였 다. 외력과 압전 제어력에 대한 평판의 진동 진폭반응을 고찰하여 구한 이론식의 타당성을 실험적으로 검증하였으며, 사용된 진동원으로는 집중 진동 여기기와 압전 구동기를 채택하였다. 실머치와 이론치 상 호간에는 양호한 상관관계를 보였으며, 비교에서 나타나는 정략적인 오차의 원인을 분석하였다. 본 연구 에서는 고찰된 방법은 임의의 외력조건과 제어 알고리즘에 대해서 적용이 가능하다.

  • In this paper, a four-degree-of-freedom non-linear model is developed to study the dynamic response of vehicle that is caused by the disturbance from the road. The chaotic vibration of the model is investigated with numerical simulation. The model displays complicated dynamic responses including harmonic motions and chaos. It is found that changing of the damping coefficients of the system can eliminate the chaotic response.

  • The performance of a strapdown attitude reference system(SDARS) under dynamic environments was analyzed by means of computer simulation. The study is aimed toward the performance evaluation in the presence of translational or angular vibration during 20 sec of flight time. The simulation was based on the error model of rate gyro, and Euler angle algorithm was employed to compute the attitude.
