Recently the blockchain technology has been actively studied due to its great potentiality. The smart contract is a key mechanism of the blockchain system. Due to the short history of the smart contract, many issues have not been solved yet. One main issue is vulnerability and another main issue is cost optimization. While the vulnerability of smart contract has been actively studied, the cost optimization has been rarely studied. In this paper, we propose two cost optimization methods for smart contracts running on the blockchain system. Triggering a function in a smart contract program code may require costs and it is repeated continuously. So the minimization of costs required to trigger a function of smart contract while maintaining the performance equally is very important. The proposed two methods minimize the usage of expensive permanent variables deployed on the blockchain system. We apply the proposed two methods to three prevalent blockchain platforms: Ethereum, Klaytn and Tron. Evaluation experiments verify that the proposed scheme significantly reduces the costs of functions in the smart contract written with Solidity.
The International Institute for the Unification of Private Law (UNIDROIT) established UNIDROIT principles, which could be applicable as international unified rules. The UNIDROIT Principles plays the role of interpreting and complementing CISG and functions as a law applicable to international commercial disputes. As shown by cases of practical application so far, the principles are expected to be applied frequently to international commercial arbitration in the future. In the situation that there is no internationally unified judicature, it is necessary to promote rational dispute resolution and legal stability through arbitration by adopting the UNIDROIT Principles of Lex Mercatoria as a governing law of international commercial contracts. In conclusion, UNIDROIT principles, along with CISG, are expected to playa great role as the applicable law of international commercial contracts and as standards for resolving international commercial disputes.
This study is intended to analyze residents' dissatisfaction and recogonition to the apartment management fee. The subjects of the study were 244 female residents who live in Seoul and who were surveyed by questionnaire from 15th of Nov. to 20th of Dec., 1997. Satistical method used were: frequency, percentage, mean, Cronbach's α, Factor Analysis, one-way ANOVA, DMR test, t-test Pearson Correlation and Regression by SPSS program. The main results of this study are as follows: 1) The resident didn't mostly know how to account the apartment management fee. 2) The degree of recogonition to distribution of the special maintenance contracts was the lowest level. 3) It was the most dissatisfactory factor not to show items of the special maintenance contracts. 4) The correlation coefficient of residents' dissatisfaction and recognition to the apartment management fee was negative.
Insurance lawyers have been curiously uninterested in the legal aspects of the use of insurance in export sales. It is an area which shows several doubtful points and some difficulties. According to the law of international sales and commercial credits, the primary question is whether the insurance contracts and documents that are produced satisfy the requirements of the sales and the credit contracts. From the point of view of insurance law, the question is how the insurance arrangements can be made to fit those requirements. The purpose of this study is to review problems that may occur in insuring cargoes in export sales.
The Original Equipment Manufacturer(OEM) Export is one of the most frequent trading system in international transactions, especially for Korean export companies. Even with vast majority of benefits of OEM Export, it still has two sides: bright and dark. Frequently, uneven position between parties drives a party to endure transactional practices harsh and unconscionable. A Recent case in one Korean court shows another aspect of OEM transactions. For the provisional measure against unilateral termination of the contract, it contain essential legal issues that can arise in international OEM transactions, like international jurisdiction, interpretation of contracts, termination of contracts, etc. Deep analysis of several issues in the case, apart from the court's decision, is expected to give insight into the legal status of the parties for strategic operations of OEM practices.

Since CM policies established in 1996, contracts of CM services are continuously increasing over the past years. As constant improvement of positive awareness about public/private owners and CM capabilities of domestic construction companies, a number of efforts were being made to acquire competitiveness of domestic and overseas CM market. However, there has been lack of quantitative and comprehensive research to investigate CM firms. The purpose of this research is to statistically analyze total of 2,983 CM service contracts over the past 16 years published in KISCON (Knowledge Information System of Construction Industry) in order to examine CM owner type.
The purpose of this study is to analyze the concept, requirement and the effect of Force majeure and Hardship under the UNIDROIT Principles of International Commercial Contract. Under the UNIDROIT Principles Non-performance by a party is excused if that party proves that the non-performance was due to an impediment beyond its control and that it could not reasonably be expected to have taken the impediment into account at the time of the conclusion of the contract or to have avoided or overcome it or its consequence. There is hardship where the occurrence of events fundamentally alters the equilibrium of the contracts and the events occur or become known to the disadvantaged party after the conclusion of the contract; the events could not reasonably have been taken ito account by the disadvantaged party at the time of the conclusion of the contract; the events are beyond the control of the disadvantaged party; and the risk of the events was not assumed by the disadvantaged party.
On the Chicago Meracntile Exchange, individuals and firms buy and sell contracts for specified amounts of products that are to be delivered at a time period in the future at a price arrived at through openly competitive bidding. The transfer of ownership of these delivery promises takes place in a particular trading pit, for each commodity, on the floor of the Exchange. Trades are officially made by qualified members of the Exchange who act as brokers for their customers. For his services, the broker is paid a nominal round- turn commission fee by the customer. Although each commodity contract carefully describes the particular standards that product must meet in order to be a acceptable for delivery, actually fewer than three percent of the contracts traded are consummated by delivery. For the most part, contract obligations ions art offset, and thereby liquids. before the termination of the delivery month. The trader liquidates his position in the market after analyzing price trends, his timing, and his calculated price objectives. (omitted)
In Korea, local governments and local agencies had to apply a version of the first price auction augmented by an ex-post screening process when they procure construction contracts. However, this first price auction had been criticized because it was felt that too much price competition could lead to poor ex-post performance in construction. In response, the existing auction method was recently replaced by a version of the average price auction with a similar screening process. This paper empirically examines the effectiveness of this reform and finds that the replacement only increases the fiscal burden of local governmental bodies without making any improvement in the ex-post performance.

Marital status has been identified as an important risk factor affecting adult mortality. Many studies have found that marriage has positive effects on mortality and increases life expectancy. Since most pension contracts providing retirement income are provided to married couples, mortality assumption for actuarial valuation based on the entire population is likely to overestimate the actual mortality of the group of beneficiaries specified in the contracts. This study considered the differences in mortality according to marital status to analyze the length and value of the payments of a typical pension contract for a married couple. The study quantified the effect on actuarial measurements of considering marital status in mortality assumptions with a multi-state model framework using Korean experience mortality data organized by marital status. The results of analysis indicate that considering marital status in mortality assumptions improves mortality risk management.
