  • GPS(Global Positioning System) data has a high accuracy at outdoor positioning generally, but its accuracy decreases in the urban areas with dense buildings. Moreover insufficient number of satelllites prevent us GPS positioning at inside of buildings. To complement these shortcomings of GPS, RFID(Radio Frequency IDentification) has been studied on indoor positioning parts. In Ubiquitous environment, LBS(Location Based Service) which can be used anytime and anywhere is an essential component. We use kalman filter to estimate the real location in GPS and RFID handover area. This study's purpose is to make a continuous positioning system using interlocking RFID and GPS.

Analysis of Factors Affecting Performance of Integrated INS/SPR Positioning during GPS Signal Blockage

  • Since the accuracy of Global Positioning System (GPS)-based vehicle positioning system is significantly degraded or does not work appropriately in the urban canyon, the integration techniques of GPS with Inertial Navigation System (INS) have intensively been developed to improve the continuity and reliability of positioning. However, its accuracy is degraded as INS errors are not properly corrected due to the GPS signal blockage. Recently, the image-based positioning techniques have been started to apply for the vehicle positioning for the advanced in processing techniques as well as the increased the number of cars installing the camera. In this study, Single Photo Resection (SPR), which calculates the camera exterior orientation parameters using the Ground Control Points (GCPs,) has been integrated with the INS/GPS for continuous and stable positioning. The INS/GPS/SPR integration was implemented in both of a loosely and a tightly coupled modes, based on the Extended Kalman Filter (EKF). In order to analyze the performance of INS/SPR integration during the GPS outage, the simulation tests were conducted with a consideration of factors affecting SPR performance. The results demonstrate that the accuracy of INS/SPR integration is depended on magnitudes of the GCP errors and SPR processing intervals. Additionally, the simulation results suggest some required conditions to achieve accurate and continuous positioning, used the INS/SPR integration.

  • A typical type-1 positioning servomechanism is theoretically analyzed as a multirate sampled-data system which contains two or more signals sampled at different rates by the Z-transform method. And also it is analyzed as a continuous system by using the Younsei 101 Electronic Analog Computer. Comparing the solution of the multirate sampled data system with that of the continuous system to a step input, it is concluded that the response time of the output of the multirate sampled-data system is reduced by a multirate controller, the ripple between samples is lessened and all the transients are diminished within one period.

A GNSS Interference Detection Method Based on Multiple Ground Stations

  • For a GNSS receiver's robustness against RFI and the high accuracy of navigation solution in GNSS, interference source detection and mitigation are needed. In this paper, an adaptive lattice IIR notch filter is employed to track single-tone continuous wave and swept continuous wave interference signals, and an interference detection method is proposed. Furthermore, this paper presents interference source characterization algorithm using multiple ground stations' interference detection results. The measurement of the signal powers from each ground station is used to build weighting factors to estimate the type of the interference. The performance of interference detection algorithm is simulated for scenarios of GPS signal in the presence of single-tone continuous wave interference and swept continuous wave interference.

자동접안을 위한 의사위성 보강 측위기법에 관한 연구 (A Study on Pseudolite-augmented Positioning Method for Automatic Docking)

  • 선박 접안을 돕기 위해 레이저 접안 장치는 부두에 설치된 레이저 센서로부터 선박까지의 거리를 센티미터 수준의 정확도로 측정하여 제공한다. 그러나, 레이저 접안 장치는 레이저 센서의 정확한 설치 위치를 알아야 하고, 선박이 접안하는 부두의 전 범위를 다룰 수 있도록 설치되어야 하며, 부두의 선적 및 하역 환경, 조수의 변동을 고려해야 하는 문제가 있다. 특히 레이저 센서 거리 측정기는 가격이 비싸고, 거리를 측정할 수 있는 범위가 좁다는 단점이 있다. 레이저 접안 장치가 지닌 이상과 같은 문제를 해결하기 위한 방법으로 제안된 방법이 반송파보정 측위 기법이다. 본 논문에서는 상대 수평측위 정확 희석도 시뮬레이션을 통하여 레이저 접안 장치가 지닌 문제를 해결하기 위해 기존에 제안된 반송파 보정 측위기법이 연속성을 갖는 센티미터 정확도의 측위 서비스가 어려움을 보이고, 이를 해결하기 위한 방법으로 의사위성 보강 측위기법을 제안한다. 본 논문은 의사위성을 반송파 보정 측위성능 향상을 위해 사용하며, 제안한 측위기법이 기존에 반송파 보정 측위기법과 달리 연속성을 갖는 센티미터 정확도의 측위 서비스가 가능함을 보인다. 또한 제안한 측위기법이 선박 자동접안을 위해 요구하는 측위성능을 만족시키는 기법임을 필드시험을 위해 구축한 테스트 베드에서 확인한다.

  • Now, for the continuous location detection of train, The method which the moving distance and speed of vehicles are detected using an odometer mounted within railway vehicle, is used in railway domain generally. There are some problems that the train's positioning errors are accumulated as the moving distances increase. To solve this problems, The Train-borne Positioning System is being developed at Korea Railroad Research Institute. It is required to evaluate exactly a positioning performance of The Train-borne Positioning System for improvement of performance. Therefore, in this paper, we review the CDGPS methods to acquire reference position for performance evaluation of Train-borne Positioning System and verify the accuracy of the reference position through the static test and the vehicle test.

  • 최근, 실내 위치 기반 서비스를 보다 정확하게 제공하기 위해서 Wi-Fi 핑거프린트와 딥러닝을 이용한 기술이 연구되고 있다. 딥러닝 모델 중에서 과거의 정보를 기억할 수 있는 RNN 모델은 실내측위에서 연속된 움직임을 기억할 수 있어 측위 오차를 줄일 수 있다. 실내 측위에서 RNN 모델을 사용하는 경우 수집된 학습 데이터가 연속적인 순차 데이터이어야 한다. 그러나 특정 위치 정보를 판단하기 위해 수집된 Wi-Fi 핑거프린트 데이터는 특정 위치에 대한 RSSI만 기록되었기 때문에 RNN 모델의 학습 데이터로 사용이 불가능하다. 본 논문은 Wi-Fi 핑거프린트 데이터를 기반으로 RNN 모델의 순차적인 입력 데이터의 생성을 위한 영역 클러스터링 방법에 대해 제안한다.

  • Now, for the continuous location detection of train, the method that the moving distance of a vehicle is detected using an wheel sensor(odometer) mounted within a train, is generally used. It has a problem that the positioning errors of a train can be accumulated as the moving distance increases. To solve this problem, it is required to apply a variety of positioning sensors and to integrate with sensor data. In this paper, we develop the train-borne positioning system applicable to the conventional railway and high-speed railway, and verify the performance of the train-borne positioning system through a vehicle test.

  • Positioning signals transmitted by Global Positioning System (GPS) satellites located at approximately 20,000 km height is very weak. For the reason, GPS signals are vulnerable to intentional jamming and unintentional disturbance. Recently, the number of jamming has been increased significantly all over the world. For the applications where continuous and reliable positioning is required when GPS jammers are activated, other positioning systems are strongly required. In this work, a set of Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA)-based transmitters and receivers utilizing Universal Software Radio Peripheral (USRP) and GNU Radio are designed and implemented. To eliminate the undesirable effects of GPS jamming, a frequency band which does not overlap L band is utilized. To demonstrate the accuracy of the proposed method, an experiment was performed.

  • 최근, 실내 위치 기반 서비스에서 정확한 서비스를 위해 Wi-Fi 핑거프린트 기반의 딥러닝 기술을 이용한 연구가 이루어지고 있다. 딥러닝 모델 중에서 과거의 정보를 기억할 수 있는 RNN 모델은 실내측위에서 연속된 움직임을 기억할 수 있어 측위 오차를 줄일 수 있다. 이때 학습 데이터로서 연속적인 순차 데이터를 필요로 한다. 그러나 일반적으로 Wi-Fi 핑거프린트 데이터의 경우 특정 위치에 대한 신호들만으로 관리되기 때문에 RNN 모델의 학습데이터로 사용이 부적절하다. 본 논문은 RNN 모델의 순차적인 입력 데이터의 생성을 위해 클러스터링을 통한 영역 데이터로 확장된 Wi-Fi 핑거프린트 데이터 기반 이동 경로의 예측을 통한 경로 생성 방법에 대해 제안한다.
