  • One of the most critical and essential procedures in the interpretation of gravity and magnetic data is to separate the anomaly due to the specific geologic structure from the summation of effects from a broad variety of geologic sources, especially those of different depths. Separation of the residual anomaly from the regional field is the most simple case of the vertical separation. If the anomaly due to a layer of specific depth can be separated or the depth of the separated layer can be quantitatively determined, it may deserve the separation-sounding. We suggest a wavelength filter whose cutoff frequency is determined by log-power spectrum analysis, as a separation-sounding filter. We applied this filter both to synthetic and real gravity data acquired at Heunghae area, and compared the results with those of Jacobsen's upward continuation filter. These showed that the proposed separation-sounding filter could be a useful tool for interpretation of the vertical geologic structure by stripping the gravity effects of geologic sources down to the desired depth.

  • In order to examine the influence of Anti-form in contemporary fashion focusing on 'signs of time', which illustrates the zeitgeist effects art and fashion, this study investigates both Anti-form movement in art of 1960s and 1970s and the fashion designs since 1970s when the signs of the influence of Anti-form in fashion began to appear. This was done by conducting literary survey as well as case analysis. Anti-form values the process and signs of time in that it visualizes the time and the process of making artworks. The emphasis on signs of time in Anti-form is observed in postmodernism fashion. Visualization of manufacturing process, visualization of signs of wearing, and continuation of wearing experience are all influences of the Anti-form in fashion. Visualization of manufacturing process exposes the techniques and the materials involved in garment construction such as linings, inside-out seams, interlinings, and unraveled hems, as well as the use of muslin, which is used in making garment prototypes. Signs of wearing is articulated in wrinkles caused by wearing, sings of alteration, reappeared designs of the past collections, reuse of vintage fabrics or garments, and the fabrics which assumes aged appearance. Continuous experience of a wearer is indicated in that the garment shape is not predetermined but changes continuously by the wearer's body shape and movement, which generates new and relative silhouettes continuously.

  • This study is places importance on health and safety in the era of untact, non-face-to-face care areas are increasing. To find out the fun factors and the effect of immersion on use satisfaction of health application users. Through the first factor analysis, we found the fun and immersion elements(joyful, interest, social intercourse) of users. Secondly, we looked at the impact of fun factors and immersion on satisfaction (viral intention, continuity). Finally, we looked at whether the user's characteristics affect satisfaction. The impact on fun factors and satisfaction was different depending on gender, which are characteristics of health application users. Both men and women showed significant results in oral tradition of pleasure, and in the case of women, elements of joy and psychological compensation were found to affect the continuation of use. It is thought that it is important to consider this in terms of marketing so that the elements of enjoyment among the fun factors of users through health application can continuously affect the continuation of use or oral tradition.

  • The purpose of this study was to identify factors that affect the optimal selection of rehabilitation therapy and explore a processing model of rehabilitation decision-making for parents of children with cerebral palsy. A ground theory of Strauss and Corbin(1988)was used. Thus, collecting data was classified into open coding 140 concepts, 29 sub-categories and 8 categories. As a result of analysis, we identified that the main phenomenon was 'finding optimal therapy in trial and error' and parents experienced 6 stages including 'embarrassment', 'confusion', 'maximization', 'wandering', 'strategy', and 'balance'. Furthermore, 'rehabilitation-daily life balance' was a key category for continuation of treatment. This qualitative study discribed factors influencing determination of treatment and its continuation, and suggested a processing model of parents' decision- making for rehabilitation of their children.

  • By considering the creep characteristics of concrete core under eccentric compression, a creep model of concrete filled steel tubes (CFT) columns under eccentric compressive loads is proposed based on the concrete creep model B3. In this proposed model, a discrete element method is introduced to transform the eccentric loading into axial loading. The validity of the model is verified by comparing the predicting results with the published creep experiments results on CFT specimens under compressive loading, together with the predicting values based on other concrete creep models, such as ACI209, CEB90, GL2000 and elastic continuation and plastic flow theory. By using the proposed model, a parameters study is carried out to analysis the effects of practical design parameters, such as concrete mix (e.g. water to cement ratio, aggregate to cement ratio), steel ratio and eccentricity ratio, on the creep of CFT columns under eccentric compressive loading.

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the meaning and structure of the experience of female college students. For this purpose, 22 female college students, regardless of age, participated in the interview three times in total. Interview data were processed through the analysis and interpretation process using the phenomenological research method, Giorgi method. As a result, 34 semantic units were derived, then divided into 14 subcomponents, and then divided into 6 categories. As a result of analysis, the spiritual value of female college students was composed of "family", "friendly person", "professional person", "empathy", "reflection" and "trust". Based on the above meaning, the structure of the spiritual value of female college students can conclude that they were a continuation of life that forms a strong sense of value and empathy and trust with patience with family and friends. Based on this, intervention on spiritual well-being of female college students suggests that intervention to form values based on empathy and trust based on family and close friends is implemented.

  • This paper proposes a methodology using a tool based on the branch-parameter continuation power flow (BCPF) in order to restore the power flow solvability in unsolvable contingencies. A specified contingency from a set of transmission line contingencies is modeled, considering the transient analysis and practice in the Korean power system. This tool traces a solution path that satisfies the power flow equations with respect to the variation of the branch parameter. At a critical point, in which the branch parameter can move on to a maximum value, a sensitivity analysis with a normal vector is performed to identify the most effective compensation. With the sensitivity information, the location of the reactive power compensation is determined and the effectiveness of the sensitivity information is verified to restore the solvability. In the simulation, the proposed framework is then applied to the Korean power system.

  • Background: Some recent clinical trials have been conducted to evaluate a combination of EGFR- TKI with chemotherapy for advanced NSCLC patients as second-line therapy, but the results on the efficacy of such trials are inconsistent. The aim of this meta-analysis was to evaluate the efficacy and safety of combination of EGFR-TKI and chemotherapy for patients with advanced NSCLC who failed first-line treatment. Materials and Methods: We searched relative trials from PubMed, EMBASE, ASCO Abstracts, ESMO Abstracts, Cochrane Library and Clinical Trials.gov. Outcomes analyzed were overall response rate (ORR), progression- free survival (PFS), overall survival (OS) and major toxicity. Results: Seven trails eventually were included in this meta-analysis, covering 1,168 patients. The results showed that the combined regimen arm had a significant higher ORR (RR 1.76 [1.16, 2.66], p=0.007) and longer PFS (HR 0.75 [0.66-0.85], p<0.00001), but failed to show effects on OS (HR 0.88 [0.68-1.15], p=0.36). In terms of subgroup results, continuation of EGFR-TKI in addition to chemotherapy after first-line EGFR-TKI resistance confered no improvement in ORR (RR 0.95 [0.68, 1.33], p=0.75) and PFS (HR 0.89[0.69, 1.15], p=0.38), and OS was even shorter (HR1.52 [1.05-2.21], p=0.03). However, combination therapy with EGFR-TKI and chemotherapy after failure of first-line chemotherapy significantly improved the ORR (RR 2.06 [1.42, 2.99], p=0.0002), PFS (HR 0.71 [0.61, 0.82], p<0.00001) and OS (HR 0.74 [0.62-0.88], p=0.0008), clinical benefit being restricted to combining EGFR-TKI with pemetrexed, but not docetaxel. Grade 3-4 toxicity was found at significantly higher incidence in the combined regimen arm. Conclusions: Continuation of EGFR-TKI in addition to chemotherapy after first-line EGFR-TKI resistance should be avoided. Combination therapy of EGFR-TKI and pemetrexed for advanced NSCLC should be further investigated for prognostic and predictive factors to find the group with the highest benefit of the combination strategy.
