선박블록 탑재용 러그구조의 설계합리화를 위한 연구 (A Study for Rationalization of Lifting Lug Design of Ship Block)

  • A basic study on the lifting lug design has performed through the rational and systematic process. In order to evaluate the proper design-load distribution around lug eye investigation of contact force between lifting lug and shackle pin is performed using non-linear parametric analysis idealized by gap element models. Gap element modeling and nonlinear analysis procedures are illustrated and discussed based on MSC/NASTRAN. Some analysis and design guides are suggested through the consideration of several important effects such as stress distribution pattern, circumferential contact force distribution along the lug eye face, loading share rate between lug main plate and doubler, effect of loading direction, relation between applied force and deflection and size effect of shackle pin radius. Additionally optimum design studies are performed and general trends according to the variation of design parameters are suggested.

Non Uniform B-spline(NUB) 곡면에 의한 블랜드 곡면의 모델링 (Modeling of blend surfaces by Non Uniform B-spline surface patches)

  • Presented in this paper is a scheme for constructing ball rolling blends of a non-uniform B-spline surface(NUBS) patches. Ball rolling blending is a popular technique for blending between parametric surfaces. Along the "common edge" of a pair of "base surfaces" to be blended, a sequence of "ball positions" is sampled. The radius of the ball may vary along the line. At each sampling point, a ball center point and a pair of ball contact points are computed by applying a Jacobian inversion method. Using ball contact points, the constructing scheme of blend NUBS patches consists three steps; 1) determination of intermediate control vertices; 2) determination of boundary vectors; 3) determination of B-spline control vertices. The proposed blending scheme has been tested in a Omega CAM system and found to be working satisfactorily.

  • Various precision engineering studies have attempted to remove mechanical friction, which causes the performance of a system to deteriorate, from precision positioning devices. Since the classical fluid lubrication method has some disadvantages in clean environments, attention has been focused on magnetic bearings and contact-free systems with their pollution-free characteristics. In this paper, f electromagnets are modeled and analyzed, not only for magnetic bearings but also for contact-free electromagnetic actuators. Three types of electromagnets that are appropriate for various applications were considered using magnetic circuitry theory. The results were experimentally validated.

  • Chemical mechanical planarization is one of the core processes in fabrication of semiconductors, which are increasingly used for information storage devices like solid state drives. For higher data capacity in storage devices, CMP process is required to show ultimate precision and accuracy. In this work, 2-dimensional finite element models were developed to investigate the effects of the slurry particle impact on microscratch generation and the phenomena generated at pad-particle-wafer contact interface. The results revealed that no plastic deformation and corresponding material removal could be generated by simple impact of slurry particles under real CMP conditions. From the results of finite element simulations, it could be concluded that the pad-particle mixture formed in CMP process would be one of major factors leading to microscratch generation.

Investigation of the Dynamic Properties of Railway Tracks using a Model for Calculation of Generation of Wheel/Rail Noise

  • For optimization of a low-noise track system, rail vibration and noise radiation needs to be investigated. The main influencing parameters for the noise radiation and the quantitative results of every track system can be obtained using a calculation model of generation and radiation of railway noise. This kind of model includes contact modeling and the calculation model of the dynamic properties of the wheel and the rail. This study used a nonlinear wheel/rail interaction model in the time domain to investigate the excitation of the rolling noise. Wheel/rail response is determined by time integrating Green's function of the rail together with force impulses from the wheel/rail contact. This model and the results of the study can be used for supporting calculation with the conventional model by an addition of the contributions due to nonlinearities to the roughness spectrum.

양축방향 면내압축과 전단하중을 받는 선박 이중판의 강도 평가 (Strength Evaluation of a Doubler Plate of a Ship S011c111re subjected to Biaxial In-plane Compression and Shear Load)

  • A study for the structural strength analysis on the doubler plate subjected biaxial in-plane compression and shear load has been performed through the systematic evaluation process. In order to estimate the proper static strength of the doubler plate, non-linear elasto-plastic analysis is introduced. Gap element modeling for contact effect between the main plate and the doubler is prepared and nonlinear analysis procedures are illustrated based on MSC/N4W. In addition, some design guides are suggested through the consideration of several important effects such as corrosion of main plate, doubler width, doubler length and doubler thickness. Finally, theses result are compared with a developed design formula based on the buckling strength and general trends. The design guides, according to the variation of design parameters are discussed.

  • The transient analysis of delaminated smart composite laminates is studied using an improved layerwise laminate theory. The theory is capable of capturing interlaminar shear stresses that are critical to delamination. The presence of discrete delamination is modeled through the use of Heaviside unit step functions. Stress free boundary conditions are enforced at all fee surfaces. Continuity in displacement field and transverse shear stresses are enforced at each ply level. In modeling piezoelectric composite plates, a coupled piezoelectric-mechanical formulation is used in the development of the constitutive equations. Numerical analysis is conducted to investigate the effect of nonlinearity in the transient vibration of bimodular behavior caused by the contact impact of delaminated interfaces. Composite plates with delamination, subject to external loads and voltage history from surface bonded sensors, are investigated and the results are compared with corresponding experimental results and plates without delamination.

  • Fundamental issues and general procedures of modeling the head disk interface (HDI) in order to provide design criteria for future ultra-low flying sliders are given. Intermittent contact and gaseous rarefaction effects are discussed using nonconventional kinetic theory. To illustrate the simulation results, we modeled IBM 3370 taper flat sliders and positive/negative "bow tie" sliders. Several alternative HDI concepts for future disk drives - viscoelastic bearings, a hybrid system, and contact recording - are also briefly discussed.

  • Electric power collection is one of the most important factors for the high-speed trains' operation. For the stable current collection, the contact wire of a catenary and the panhead of a pantograph should maintain a constant contact each other. In this paper, the catenary was modeled as a spring with time-varying stiffness from the point of a pantograph moving along the catenary, and the pantograph was modeled as a 3-D.O.F. mass-spring-damper system. Using the adaptive control method, the desired control performance could be obtained with the modeling errors and the time varying parameters.   • 이 논문은 p-type single-crystalline float zone (FZ) 웨이퍼를 이용한 고효율 태양전지 제조 공정상의 공정 모델링과 최적화 기술에 대하여 서술하였다. 태양전지 제조 공정 중 중요한 4가지의 공정 1) Emitter formation; 2) Anti-Reflection-Coating (ARC): 3) Screen-printing; 4) Contact formation 중에서 제조비용을 줄여주며, 성능을 증대 시키는데 중요한 contact formation 공정을 모델링을 하고, 최적화 하였다. 본 논문에서는 공정에 소요되는 시간과 비용을 줄이기 위해 실험 계획법 (design of experiments: DOE) 중 중심 합성계획 (central composite design)을 이용하여 24개의 요인 (factorial), 8개의 축점 (axial points), 3개의 중심점 (center points)과 실험의 범위를 증가시키기 위한 6개의 임의점(random points)으로 실험계획을 수립하였다. 접촉형성(contact formation) 공정 이후에는 실험 결과를 사용하여 신경망 (neural network)으로 모델링을 하였다. 수립된 신경망 모델을 바탕으로 유전자 알고리즘 (genetic algorithm)을 이용하여 다양한 조합의 공정 파라미 터를 합성하는 방법으로 최적화를 수행하여 고효율의 태양전지를 구현할 수 있는 최적의 공정 조건을 수립하였다.
