패밀리 레스토랑 고객 특성에 따른 영양과 건강메뉴에 대한 태도 연구 (Family Restaurant Patrons' Attitudes toward Nutrition & Healthy Menus)

  • This study sought to determine family restaurant patrons' attitudes toward nutrition and healthy menus. A written questionnaire was handed out to 300 dine-in customers at the three different sites of T brand family restaurant. A total of 265 questionnaires were usable for data analysis, resulting in 88% response rate. Two attitude statements eliciting the strongest agreement were that 'Diet and chronic diseases risk are closely connected each other(4.44)' and 'Koreans are more nutrition & health conscious than they were in the past(4.41)'. The attitude statement-that nutrition is important when I eat out- received the lowest scores(2.92), which indicated that nutrition was not yet considered the most important factor when dining out. 23% of the respondents were interested in healthful foods, while 30% said they were unconcerned. Nutrition conscious group showed significantly (p<.000) higher attitude scores for most of statements than unconcerned group. Significant differences were found in age groups(p<.05, p<.01, p<.001), income levels(p<.05), educational levels(p<.05), health status groups(p<.05), and weight control interest groups(p<.05). Older respondents, respondents with higher income and educational levels were more interested in nutrition and healthy menus. Respondents who reported good health status and showed higher interest in weight control were more interested in nutrition and healthy menus. These findings indicate that restaurant firms should respond to consumers' increased interest in nutrition and healthy menus by offering healthful menus and increasing nutrition marketing activities. This may positively result in increasing customer counts and revenue as well as customer satisfaction level and brand image of restaurant firms. Moreover, restaurant firms are strongly encouraged to play an active role in promoting public's nutritional and health status because increasing consumption of meals away from home will seriously affect good health of our consumers.

우리 나라 일부 초.중.고등학생들의 체질량지수 관련요인에 관한 분석 (A Study of Obesity Indices of Korean Adolescents and Related Factors)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship of body mass index with environmental and dietary factors including nutrition knowledge, and nutrition attitude of Korean adolescents. Anthropometric measurements, questionnaire responses, and 24-hour dietary records of 531 elementary, 543 middle, and 533 high school students residing in Seoul and Kyunggi-do were collected. Data was analysed using SAS computer program. The results are as follows. Mean BMI of elementary school boys was higher than that of girls. However, there were no significant differences in mean BMI between sexes both in middle and high school students. Calcium and iron consumption were lowest among elementary and middle school students, respectively when the intake was expressed as a percentage of the Korean RDA. Energy, protein, vitamin A, vitamin B$_1$, vitamin B$_2$, niacin, and vitamin C intakes(% RDA) were lowest among high school students. The factors influencing BMI of elementary students were BMI of the parents in boys, and BMI of the father in girls. In middle school students, energy intake, fathers BMI, mothers nutrition knowledge and students BMI, and nutrition knowledge were related to the obesity indices of boys, while fathers and mothers BMI were related to the mean obesity index of girls. In high school students, nutrition knowledge and mothers nutrition attitude were related to the obesity index of boys, while BMI of parents was related to the obesity index of girls. In conclusion, mothers and fathers BMI were the most common factors influencing the BMI of these adolescents. Although these results can not determine if food behaviour directly affects BMI, it may influence the BMIs of family members, and therefore nutrition education to keep normal weight and desiradle food habits should be emphasized. More systematic studies to investigate the cause-effect relations of these factors are required.

경기도지역 어린이집과 유치원 급식의 소금함량 및 유아 식사준비자의 나트륨 섭취관련 식태도 조사 (A Survey on the Salt Content of Kindergarten Lunch Meals and Meal Providers' Dietary Attitude to Sodium Intake in Gyeonggi-do Area)

  • Dietary habit of excess sodium consumption is formed mainly by excessive salt intake from the younger age and this may lead to hypertension, stroke, and stomach cancer. This study was performed to estimate the salt content in kindergarten meals and provide basic data on meal providers' dietary attitude to sodium intake for nutrition education. We collected data on161 food items from 16 institutions in Gyeonggi-do and salt content was calculated from salinity and weight of individual food items. The average salt content from lunch meals was 2.2 g, which was about daily adequate intake of sodium for children aged 3 to 5 years old. Greatest contributor to the salt content in a meal was soup and stew (47.8%). The most salty dishes were sauces and kimchi followed by stir-fried food, deep-fried food, braised food, and grilled food. The salt content was higher in soup and stew despite of low salinity, due to the large quantity per serving. The salt contents of soups and kimchi were 40.6% and 14.3%, respectively of the total salt content in dish groups. Staff members and caregivers at home who prepared food for the child showed preference for one-dish rice meal, dried fish and salted mackerel, and broth when eating soup, stew, and noodles. Caregivers showed higher sodium index score and had higher preference for processed food such as Ramen, canned food, and ham compared with staff members (p < 0.05). These results suggested that monitoring salt content of kindergarten meals and nutrition education for those prepare meals for children are needed to lower sodium intake in childhood.

럭셔리 브랜드 커뮤니티에서 고객 인게이지먼트가 중국 소비자의 구매의도 및 브랜드 태도에 미치는 영향 (A study on the influence of customer engagement on Chinese consumers' purchase intention and brand attitude of the luxury brand community)

  • Luxury companies are striving to improve their communication with customers while paying attention to online promotion and marketing activities. As companies interact with customers in luxury brand communities via various channels, they yield consumers higher value throughout the effective consumption process. In addition, this connection enhances customers' understanding of the company, making it easier for companies to acquire empathy from customers. This study aims to analyze the value factors that affect luxury brand community members' purchase intention and brand attitude. This study utilizes online survey results of four hundred prestige brand community users in China. The results reveal the positive effects of customer engagement on customer psychological empowerment and flow, the positive impacts of customer psychological empowerment and flow on community identity and brand attachment, the positive effects of community identity on purchase intentions, and the positive effects of brand attachment on purchase intentions and brand attitude. Furthermore, the results show that community types and fashion involvement partially moderate customer engagement. This study provides theoretical suggestions for relationship marketing in the luxury brand community environment. Last, this study presents practical implications that companies could utilize to create an emotional connection with their community members, resulting in an increase of customer support.

화성시 중학생의 식생활 태도와 영양교육 요구도 (The Needs of Nutrition Education and Eating Attitudes of Middle School Students in Hwaseong City, Gyeonggi Province)

  • To establish good dietary behavior for middle school students, this study was conducted to analyze the needs of nutrition education and eating attitudes of 373 middle school students(boys 171, girls 202) in Hwaseong city. Using questionnaires, results were gathered and analyzed. Dietary behavior, food group intake and the needs of nutrition education were scored by a five-point Likert scale. Chi-square and student t-test were done for significant gender difference. The correlation between the needs of nutrition education with dietary behavior and food group intake was obtained by Pearson's r. The dietary attitude of 'try to eat first' and 'eating fast' were higher score in boys than in girls(p<0.05). Most of the students thought they didn't have any nutritional problems(71.8%). Nutrition education was considered necessary(54.9%) for proper growth and development(53.0%) in middle school. But 45.1% of students did not suggest by the reasons of 'short time to change'(28.2%), 'more effective in home'(27.4%). The appropriate time of nutrition education was pre-school(28.2%) or elementary school(27.4%), once a week(boys 51%, girls 71.3%) in frequency(p<0.001), and the information acquired by TV/Radio(30.0%) and internet(26.6%). Students(46.0%) wanted to know about 'growth and nutrition'. They were to learn information on the 'healthy growth'(4.10) and 'adolescent nutrition'(4.03). The vegetables group consumption and the thought of dietary attitude 'try to modify bad eating habits' were correlated with almost all categories of desired nutrition education. Through these results, good eating habits would be attained by nutrition education. A nutrition education program would require an expert teacher for middle school students.

초콜릿 패키지 디자인이 소비자 구매 조건에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (Research on the Influence of Chocolate Packaging Design on Consumers' Purchase Conditions)

  • 사회경제의 부단한 진보와 발전에 따라 상품 포장의 중요성은 나날이 현저해지고 있으며, 그것은 이미 사업자와 소비자 사이의 중요한 의사소통 형식이 되어, 사업자 간의 중요한 경쟁 수단이 되었다. 이 논문의 연구범위는: 우선 문헌 조사를 통해 포장설계의 기능과 소비자의 구매 태도를 분석하고 일반 초콜릿 포장과 여행기념품 초콜릿 포장을 대상으로 이름, 색상, 로고, 일러스트 등을 분석·연구했다. 연구방법은: 설문 조사를 통해 패키지 디자인에 대한 소비자의 구매 태도 및 개인의 가치 구현에 따라 소비자의 구매 여력과 패키지 디자인이 구매 조건에 미치는 영향과 연구를 심층적으로 살펴봤다. 본 연구의 결과, 첫째, 일반 초콜릿 포장과 여행기념품 초콜릿 포장부터 소비자 소비 현상까지 보면 일반 초콜릿이 더 선호된다. 둘째, 소비자가 제품을 구매할 때 초콜릿의 맛은 제품 패키지 디자인보다 중요한 속성이다. 셋째, 각 제품군에서 소비자들은 초콜릿 제품을 살 때 자신의 지향적인 가치를 중시한다. 넷째, 패키지 디자인과 맛이라는 두 가지 중요한 속성 아래 일반 초콜릿은 여행기념품 초콜릿보다 구매 의도가 높다.

  • 글로벌 경기침체와 소비시장 위축으로 인해 지속가능경영, 상생경영이 기업의 주요과제로 대두되면서 사회공헌활동에 대한 기업의 관심과 참여는 계속 증가하고 있으며, 특히 직원의 기부나 자원봉사활동 등 직원참여형 사회공헌활동이 급격하게 증가하고 있다. 본 연구는 직원참여형 사회공헌활동이 내부 이해관계자인 직원들에게 어떠한 영향을 미치는지를 고찰하기 위해 직원의 기부와 봉사참여가 기업사회공헌활동에 대한 인식과 태도를 매개로 직무만족과 조직시민행동에 미치는 영향을 구조방정식 모형을 사용하여 분석하였다. 연구결과, 직원의 기부 참여는 사회공헌에 대한 인식과 태도를 매개로 직무만족과 조직시민행동에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 봉사활동 참여는 사회공헌인식에는 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤으나, 직무만족과 조직시민행동에 미치는 영향에서 매개효과의 영향력은 유의하지 않았다. 이러한 연구결과를 토대로 직원참여형 사회공헌활동의 내부이해관계자 효과를 높이기 위한 요소에 대해 제언하였다.

생태 친화적 기능성식품 선택과 관련된 소비자 특성 분석 (Consumer Characteristics Related with Choice of Eco-Friendly Functional Food)

  • 최근 들어 환경에 대한 소비자들의 높아진 관심으로 인해 식생활과 지속가능한 소비의 중요성이 부각되고 있어 기능성식품 사용과 환경에 대한 관심의 연관성에 대해 소비자 반응을 파악할 필요성이 증가하고 있다. 본 연구는 식품과 관련된 소비자의 라이프스타일에 따라 시장을 세분화하여 생태친화적 기능성 식품 브랜드인 스피룰리나에 대한 소비자 행동을 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 식생활 라이프스타일에 따라 3개의 소비자유형(식생활 고관여형, 식생활 안전추구형, 식생활 편의추구형)으로 분류되었으며, 유형별 기능성 식품의 소비행동은 유의한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 더 나아가서 기능성식품에 대한 긍정적인 태도와 환경에 대한 관심은 스피룰리나의 구매의도를 증가시켜 실제 구매행동으로 연계되는 것으로 나타났으며, 환경 관여도가 높은 소비자들은 기능성 식품에 대해 좀 더 호의적인 태도를 보이는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 생태친화적 기능성 식품의 시장 확대를 위해서는 시장을 세분화하여 환경적 관여도가 높은 소비자를 발견하고 표적화한 뒤 친환경 제품 마케팅 전략을 추진함으로써 관련 식품에 대한 소비자 인지도를 높일 필요가 있을 것이다.

기업의 사회적 메시지를 담은 네이티브 광고 효과 연구 (Persuasive Impact of Native Advertising for Social Issues: Focusing on Source of Native Advertising and Consumer Tendency for Ethical Consumption)

  • 최근의 소비자들은 기업이 우리 사회가 직면한 문제들과 맞서 싸우며 사회 변화를 위하여 관심을 가지고 행동하기를 기대한다. 이에 본 연구는 우리 사회의 주요 이슈와 관련된 사회적 목소리를 담은 네이티브 광고에 대한 효과를 규명하고자 하였다. 특히 본 연구는 사회적 목소리를 담은 네이티브 광고의 주체와 개인 특성인 윤리적 소비 성향에 따라 그 효과가 어떻게 나타나는지에 대하여 주목하였다. 그리고 소비자는 기업이 후원한 네이티브 광고보다 기업이 직접 제작한 네이티브 광고에 대해 부정적 기업 태도를 보일 것이며, 소비자의 윤리적 소비 성향에 따라 이러한 효과가 달라질 것이라는 가설을 제안하였다. 일련의 가설을 검정하기 위하여 직장인들을 대상으로 온라인 실험을 진행하였다. 연구 결과에 따르면, 사회적 목소리를 담은 네이티브 광고에 있어서 주체를 기업이 직접 제작이라고 표기했을 때와 기업이 후원하였다고 표기하였을 시 소비자의 기업 태도는 차이가 나타나지 않았다. 그러나 소비자의 개인 특성인 윤리적 소비 성향에 따른 유의한 차이를 발견할 수 있었는데 윤리적 소비 성향이 높은 소비자의 경우 사회적 목소리를 담은 네이티브 광고의 주체로 기업이 제작하였다는 표기보다는 기업이 후원하였다고 표기한 경우 기업 태도가 높게 나타났다. 이와 같은 연구의 결과는 광고 표기의 명료성에 관한 관심이 높아지는 현시점에서 네이티브 광고의 주체 및 표기에 대한 효과를 밝히고 이러한 효과에 영향을 미치는 개인 특성 변인을 규명하였다는 점에서 연구의 함의를 찾을 수 있다. 또한, 실무적으로 기업이 사회적 목소리를 담은 네이티브 광고를 집행할 시에 윤리적 소비 성향이 높은 소비자들의 기업 태도를 높이기 위해서 광고 주체 및 표기를 더 세심하게 재고해야 할 필요성이 있음을 시사해준다.

수입 캐주얼상표에 대한 소배자 태도 차원과 상표이미지에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Dimensions of Consumers" Attitudes and Brand Images toward Imported Casual Brands)

  • This study was to identify the dimensions of consumers' attitudes toward imported casual brands. Another objectives were to examine consumers' attitude according to the preference group, and to ascertain the imported casual brand images. The 55 Likert type questions were selected through the results of self-questionnaire analyses. 520 females aged between 20 to 29 in Pusan responded to the second questionnaire of consumers' attitudes and brand images toward imported casual brands. The results were as follows: 1. For final factor analysis, 56 selected from 85 questions were subjected to the principal component analyses with orthogonal rotation after extraction of 5 major factors. 2. Five dimensions are brand's uniqueness and good quality, high prestige, incongruity with native emotion and ethnocentrism, conspicuous consumption, and reasonable purchasing advantages. These factors explained 45.0% of total variance. 3. Five dimensions were different according to the degree of preference. For preference group, they purchased the imported casual brands by uniqueness, good quality and reasonable purchasing advantages. For non-preference group, they disliked the imported brands by incongruity with native emotion, ethnocentrism, and conspicuous consumption. 4. Preference group had 5.47, whereas non-preference group had 1.76 pieces of imported casual brands for this 2 years. This result suggests that to develop the domestic brands with international uniqueness, good quality, and high prestige, and to improve according to preference group are necessary.
