Analysis of Actual Consumption Patterns of China's Infant Food Market for 6th Industrial Management System Export Activation

  • With the increased economic profit in China, people tend to give more attention to the nurturing of children. The change in the food markets directly connected to the infants' health seem to have brought various consumption patterns different than before. Based on the actual condition survey operated by this research, the expansion in the scale of consumption and preference to the imported food for infants appeared in the Chinese food markets for infants. The rapidly increased amount of the online purchases of the food for Chinese infants was checked through the condition survey. Based on the analysis results, with the purpose of increasing the purchase opportunities of the Korean food for infants to the Chinese consumers, it should not only perform the promotion activities such as the promotion for the product's superiority and various promotional event, but also establish the pricing strategy for each entry step to the Chinese market. Because the purchase experience of the Korean food for infant plays the important role for the additional payments decision, it is estimated that there is a need to expand the opportunities for the Chinese consumers to approach the Korean food for infants both directly and indirectly.

  • To remove nitrogen oxides(NOx) in exhaust gas of diesel engine, three-way catalytic process with plasma discharger has great possibilities. Characteristics of NOx removal depends on NO conversion to NO$_2$and/or HNO$_3$due to high activation energies for NO oxidation and reduction. NOx removal efficiency by using three-way catalytic with plasma discharger indicated about 50% at 40watt power consumption condition.

  • The effects of burnt gas mixing, which can be caused by turbulent eddy mixing, on the interaction and extinction characteristics of premixed flames are analyzed using large activation energy asymptotics adopting counterflow as a model problem. The results show that the burnt gas mixing, preferential diffusion and heat loss affect the fuel consumption rate, flame temperature and the oxidizer concentration at the flame which influence the flame behavior and the extinction characteristics.

Effects of Egg White Consumption on Allergy, Immune Modulation, and Blood Cholesterol Levels in BALB/c Mice

  • We previously demonstrated that water-soluble egg yolk extract is not related to elevation of serum immunoglobulin E, which can initiate allergic reactions; however, it increases the level of high density lipoprotein (HDL)-cholesterol and the activity of B lymphocytes. In this study, egg white (EW) was fed to BALB/c mice to determine its influence on growth efficiency, immune modulation, and changes in serum lipid levels. A total of 50 five-wk-old BALB/c male mice were divided into 5 groups, 4 of which were fed 0, 10, 50, or 100 mg/d EW for 4 wk. Mice with an uptake of 10, 50 and 100 mg/d EW showed no significant changes in daily weight gain, feed efficiency rate, or populations of white blood cells. However, the activities of both B and T lymphocytes were significantly increased in all three EW groups at the final week of treatment. Interestingly, serum levels immunoglobulin E were not altered by EW consumption, but the IgG level was significantly increased in the 100 mg/d EW group. Serum lipid profile analyses showed no significant changes in total cholesterol, HDL, low density lipoprotein, or triglyceride levels by EW consumption. Taken together, these data demonstrate that consumption of EW promotes immune cell activities and the upregulation of serum IgG levels. However, we found no changes in serum lipid profiles and IgE levels. Therefore, our study suggests that consumption of EW might not be related to the risk of food allergy, but could be an excellent candidate for the maintenance of physiological homeostasis.

Effects of Egg White Consumption on Immune Modulation in a Mouse Model of Trimellitic Anhydride-induced Allergy

  • Egg allergy has been shown to be the most common food allergy in children with atopic dermatitis. Allergic reactions to proteins derived from egg white (EW) are more common than those derived from egg yolk. Ovomucoid, ovalbumin, ovotransferrin, and lysozyme have been identified as major allergens in EW. This study was conducted to evaluate the effect of EW on immune modulation in an induced allergy mouse model. A total of 50 five-week-old BALB/c male mice were treated with trimellitic anhydride (TMA) for three weeks to induce allergy-like symptoms. The TMA-treated mice were rested for one week and then divided into five groups and fed 0, 10, 50, and 100 mg/d EW for four weeks. All EW consumption groups showed no significant increase or decrease in the populations of white blood cells; however, a significant increase in B-lymphocyte activity was observed in the fourth week. Furthermore, EW consumption did not influence serum immunoglobulin G and immunoglobulin E levels. Taken together, these data demonstrate that the consumption of EW by TMA-treated mice did not increase allergic parameters such as serum IgE level, but enhanced the lymphocyte activities against pathogens. Therefore, this study suggests that the consumption of EW promotes Th2 immune modulation, and EW could be an excellent candidate for maintaining health.

First of all, improving the quality of milk in the premium milk market can be able to expect the activation of consumption and through promotion activities by the Korean wave can lead to create new consumption pioneered the market diversification at the same time export varieties of white milk and jersey species take advantage of a variety of milk in addition to drink beauty and cooking areas while lowering manufacturing costs through the introduction of the cheese will increase the revenue of the dairy companies and dairy consumption expected to activate at the same time. It is necessary to change cultivars in order to think about nutritional value and flavor, and further environment, and high quality premium milk will become a new trend in the future. Furthermore, promoting the benefits of milk consumption would contribute in raising the milk demand that is negatively correlated with increasing age.

Enzyme Kinetics Based Modeling of Respiration Rate for 'Fuyu' Persimmon (Diospyros kaki) Fruits (효소반응속도론에 기초한 단감의 호흡 모델에 관한 연구)

  • Respiration of 'Fuyu' persimmon (Diospyros kaki) fruits were measured in terms of oxygen consumption rate and carbon dioxide evolution by closed system experiments at 0, 5, and $20^{\circ}C$. Enzyme kinetics-based respiration model was used to describe respiration rate as function of $O_2\;and\;CO_2$ gas concentrations $(R=V_m[O_2]/K_m+(1+[CO_2]/K_i)[O_2])$, and Arrhenius equation was applied to analyze temperature effect. $V_m\;and\;K_m$ increased, while $K_i$ decreased, with increasing temperature. $K_m\;of\;O_2$ consumption was greater than that of $CO_2$ evolution at equal temperature. Inhibitory effect of reduced $O_2$ level on $O_2$ consumption was more prominent than that on $CO_2$ evolution. Activation energy of respiration decreased with reduced $O_2$ and elevated $CO_2$ concentrations. Activation energy of $CO_2$ evolution was greater than that of $O_2$ consumption. Permeable package experiments verified respiration model parameters by showing good agreement between predicted and experimental gas concentrations in package.

  • At the semiconductor industry, Photoresist(PR) strip progress has high cost and time consuming process. Accordingly, many research group have been focused on the shortening of the PR strip progress. But the replacements of newly developed materials rather than normally used strip have accompanied by cost consumption. Therefore, we suggested the Plasma Liquid-Vapor Activation (PLVA) method of general PR strip solution for saving the PR strip time and the high strip rate of PR residue. The PLVA method was very effective for PR strip progress. Also, the ion damaged PR(high dose implanted photoresist: HDI-PR) was almost impossible to strip. However, it was very difficult to characterize the change of chemical composition of HDI-PR between with and without PLVA method. Thus, physical properties of HDI-PR surface with and without PLVA method were measured by using the nano-indenter system.
