의약분업이 소비자후생에 미치는 영향 (The Welfare Effect of Mandatory Prescription in Korea)

  • In this study, we investigate the welfare effect of mandatory prescription(MP) in Korea. An immediate effect of MP is the increase in the implicit price of prescribed medicine, which could be obtained easily from drug stores before MP. This will lower the quantity demanded. which will in turn reduce the abuse of drugs. The key to the cost-benefit analysis of MP, therefore, should be focused on this point; price increase in the cost side and quantity decrease in the benefit side. Since we do not have as much information as needed for the analysis, however, we made strong assumptions for the clarity of numbers; the severity of moral hazard of medical doctors related to the sales of hospital drugs, constant demand elasticity, constant benefit multiplier of reduced drug usage, and so on, With these rather strong assumptions, we find that i) the benefit side is much more sensitive to demand elasticity than the cost side effect ii) the larger the demand elasticity, the greater the size of net gain of MP, though the result depends on the size of the benefit multiplier. This analysis shows that we need to have more information on the specific institutional path of health benefit diffusion caused by the reduction of drug usage, which was the major target of MP.

전북 지역 대학생의 친환경 농산물 구매 실태 및 인식에 대한 연구 (The Consumption Behavior and Perceptions of Environment-friendly Agricultural Products by University Students in Korea)

  • The principal objective of this study was to evaluate the consumption behavior and perceptions of environment-friendly agricultural products(EAPs) by university students in the Chonbuk area, Korea. Self-administered questionnaires were collected from 309 university students(male 33.0%, female 67.0%). Descriptive and comparative statistical analyses was completed using SPSS v. 12.0. The percentage of subjects who purchased EAPs was 70.9%. Of those, 87.2% had EAPs purchased by their mothers. The most purchased EAPs were vegetables, the primary reason for which was the perception of 'good for health'(73.1%). The main information source about EAPs was 'familes/freinds'. The average scores of 'attitude toward EAPs', 'knowledge toward EAPs', 'concern toward EAPs' were $3.76{\pm}0.57$, $2.91{\pm}0.61$ and $3.29{\pm}0.43$, respectively. With regards to 'attitude toward EAPs', the scores were significantly affected by 'self-reported health status'(p<0.05). With regard to 'knowledge toward EAPs' and 'concern toward EAPs', the scores were significantly affected by 'supplements for health' (p<0.05; p<0.001). For university students' right choices of EAPs, information and consumer education wthin the university curriculum on these products are necessary.

국가이미지와 국가에 대한 태도 및 서비스에 대한 태도가 중국 소비자들의 외국계 서비스이용 의도에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 -의료서비스를 중심으로- (A Study of Country Image, Consumer Attitude and its Impact on International Service Use Intention of Chinese Consumers -Focusing Medical Service-)

  • 본 연구는 점차 확대되고 있는 중국 서비스 시장의 개방과 외국계 의료기관들의 중국시장 진출시도가 본격화 되고 있는 현시점에서 중국 소비자들의 외국계 의료서비스 이용 의사결정과정에 대한 분석과 설명을 위한 이론적 분석 모형을 개발하기 위하여 수행되었다. 본 연구의 결과를 요약하면 의료서비스를 제공하는 국가의 국가이미지는 해당 국가에 대한 태도와 해당국가의 의료서비스에 대한 태도에 영향을 미쳤다. 게다가 국가이미지는 국가에 대한 태도를 통해 이용의도에 간접 영향을 미치기도 하지만 해당 국가의 의료서비스 이용의도에 직접적인 영향관계를 가지고도 있었다. 그러나 국가이미지와 해당국가에 대한 태도 등에 영향을 받아 형성된 의료서비스에 대한 태도는 의료서비스 이용의도에 직접적인 영향관계를 가지지 못하였다. 따라서 중국 의료시장에서의 성공을 위해서는 한류로 형성되어져 있는 국가이미지와 우호적인 태도 등을 활용하는 적극적 전략이 필요할 것으로 보인다.

  • 최근 들어 건강에 대한 관심이 증가하면서 발효 식품에 대한 관심과 소비가 증가하고 있다. 대표적인 발효 식품으로 홍어가 있다. 홍어의 경우 각자의 취향에 따라 선호하는 정도가 매우 다르다. 그래서 홍어의 발효 정도를 수치화하여 보여줄 수 있다면, 사람들은 각자의 취향에 맞게 홍어를 먹을 수 있을 것이다. 본 논문에서는 스마트 RFID 태그를 이용하여 소비자의 취향에 맞는 홍어의 발효 정도를 모니터링 하는 시스템을 제안한다. 제안하는 시스템은 RFID 태그, $NH_3$센서, 리더기 및 서버로 구성되어 있다. 제안하는 시스템의 유용성을 확인하기 위해, 홍어 발효에 대한 실험을 한다. 제안한 모니터링 시스템은 홍어의 발효 정도를 Very Low, Low, Medium, Strong의 4등급으로 보여준다. 스마트 RFID 태그를 통해, 홍어의 발효 정도를 확실하게 추정한다.

양방과 한방 의료 이용자의 서비스 선택요인 비교분석 - D병원의 사례를 중심으로 (Comparative Analysis on the Choice of Services between Western and Oriental Medicine)

  • This study was planned to investigate the difference in the choice of services between western and oriental medicine. Data were collected from 493 outpatients who visited the D hospital by structured questionnare. The results were as follows; The older aged groups, there were the more oriental medicine visitors, significantly Oriental medicine visitor had more experience to use the complementary food than western medicine visitor. In comparison of reason for service choice, the proportion of oriental medicine visitors was higher than western medicine visitor in considering of specialty of institution. In contrast, western medicine visitor had interest to 'newly-developed facility and equipment' and 'convenience and accessibility of service' as factor of service choice. In analysis of evaluation the service experiences, oriental medicine visitors evaluated the oriental medicine highly in 'therapeutic efficacy' and ' less side effect'. But western medicine visitor evaluated the western medicine highly in 'quick effect of therapy' and ' scientific apprach'. We concluded from result that there were difference in service choice behavior between western and oriental medicine visitor. We hope that these information will be applied to planning of consumer-oriented marketing strategy of hospital.

탈크노출과 건강상의 위험 (Possible Health Risk Over Talc)

  • In Korea, talc that has been widely used for a lot of consumer products as well as industrial usage until recently was found to be contaminated with asbestos. It becomes a major social issue. Critical health risk about both talc and talc contaminated with asbestos was summarized through literature review. It has been confirmed that talc can pose ovarian cancer when talc powder is used in the genital area. International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) already concluded that the perineal use of cosmetic talc can cause possibly carcinogenic to humane(Group 2B), although there was study reporting the lack of a consistent an established correlation between perineal dusting frequency and ovarian tissue talc concentrations and the lack of a consistent dose-response relationship with ovarian cancer risk. The association between talc exposure and ovarian cancer is as strong as in recent studies. The epidemiological studies to date provided inadequate evidence for the carcinogenicity of either inhaled or ingested talc that does not contain asbestos or asbestosiform fibers. Future studies should focus on seeking evidence in talc-exposed populations, collecting reliable information on age at initial used of body powder, exposure assessments related to talc use and dose response relationship in order to identify possible risk of talc ingested or inhaled.

호주의 장기요양 시스템 고찰을 통한 우리나라 장기요양서비스 개선 방향 (The improvement of long-term care service in Korea through the review of Australian aged care system)

  • Objectives: In order to cope with the quality and the substantiality issues in long-term care for the elderly, we should have a wider view of long-term system components based on the understanding of health care organizations, management services, support for care providers and beneficiaries, education of the workforce, and management of finance and resources. Methods: For resolving the issues raised and offering guidance in the area of long-term care, we reviewed 20 reports and documents of the government and government-related institutions using the Internet home pages of the Australian government and the related organizations in the health care sector. These organizations are undergoing a huge system reform to implement consumer-directed care since 2015, in the areas of service, resources, finances, organization, and management. Results and conclusions: The study outcomes can have some implications for the long-term care system in Korea based on the differences in the service components. The results can provide basic information for improving the long-term care service, and can have several other implications for long-term care in Korea.

대학생의 모발화장품 추구혜택과 정보원 활용 (A Study on the University Students′ Benefits Sought and the Use of Information Sources on the Hair Care Cosmetics)

  • The purpose of this study were to segment the hair care cosmetics market according to the benefits sought, to categorize the information sources on the hair care cosmetics, and to characterize the profiles of the segmentized groups of university students. Self-administered questionnaires were distributed to 457 university students in Chonbuk province from Jul. 10 to Jul. 21, 1999. Frequencies and percentages were calculated, and factor analysis, cluster analysis, one-way ANOVA, and $\chi$$^2$-test were used. The results were: 1. University student's benefit variables on hair care cosmetics were classified into special function, fashion, practicality, brand, fragrance, styling, nutritional reinforcement, and economy. And they were segmentized into the feeling pursuit, the multi-benefit pursuit, the practicality pursuit, the benefit unconscious, and the function pursuit. The information sources were classified into marketer-dominated sources, neutral sources and consumer -dominated sources. 2. The feeling pursuit strongly sought for fashion, brand and fragrance pursuit, but considered economy less, chiefly used the marketer-dominated and neutral information sources, and showed much interests in hair care cosmetics, and were consisted of women dominantly. The multi-benefits pursuit sought for various kinds of benefits from hair care cosmetics, depended heavily on various kinds of information sources, were well aware of their hair types and instructions on the hair care cosmetics label, and were consisted of women dominantly. The practicality pursuit highly sought for practicality, but low on the fashion, were not aware of their hair style, haler care, hair health status and hair type, and almost half of them are men. The benefit unconscious showed low concern about, all kinds of benefits and hair care cosmetics, and were consisted of more men than women. The function pursuit highly sought for special function and nutritional reinforcement, mainly depended on the consumer-dominated sources. and showed low concern about their hair style and hair care.

한·중 소비자의 웰빙식품 관련변수에 따른 구매의도 (A Study on Purchase Intention to Factors Related to Well-Being Food between South Korean and Chinese Consumers)

  • Since 1992, with the beginning of trade between Korea and China, their commercial relationship has become closer than before. As a result of better quality of life, the consumers of the two countries value well-being more the before. Thus, this paper examined the information search, awareness, purchasing motivation, and purchasing intention of well-being food of Korean and Chinese consumers, and identified the dominant factors influencing the purchasing intentions of well-being food. Firstly, the information searches of well-being food showed significant differences between the Korean and Chinese consumers. Secondly, the awareness of well-being food between the consumers of the two countries did not show significant differences. Thirdly, the results about the purchasing motivation of well-being food showed that the Chinese consumers had stronger purchasing motivation related to 'social responsibility' than that of Korean consumers, and the differences were significant. Fourthly, the results on the purchasing intentions of well-being food indicated that the Chinese consumers had greater intentions than Korean consumers. Fifthly, for the Korean consumers, the variables influencing the purchasing intentions of well-being food were the considerations of health care, purchasing motivation ('personal desire'), and the awareness of well-being food. For the Chinese consumers, the awareness of well-being food, gender (female), information search of well-being food, and education were formed the main variables.

공공도서관에서 소비자건강정보를 제공하는 것에 대한 사서의 인식 조사연구 (An Analysis of the Librarians' Perception of Providing CHI Services in Public Libraries)

  • 국내 공공도서관의 사서들을 대상으로 설문조사를 함으로써 CHI 서비스 현황을 명확히 파악할 수 있으며, 설문결과를 바탕으로 국내 공공도서관의 CHI 서비스 개발방향을 모색하는데 기여할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 현재 공공도서관이 CHI 서비스를 제공하고 있는지를 조사하고, CHI 관련 참고서비스 경험 및 제공빈도를 분석하였으며, 국내 공공도서관에 서 CHI서비스를 제공하는 것의 필요성에 대한 인식조사를 수행하였다. 1) 국내 공공도서관은 건강관련 서적이나 의학저널을 구비하고 있는 것 외에 CHI 관련 웹사이트 정보원을 구축하고 있는 도서관의 비율은 5% 정도의 매우 낮은 비율이었다. 2) CHI 참고서비스 제공비율은 조사대상 도서관 중 30%에 지나지 않았다. 3) 국내 공공도서관의 82.1%가 CHI 관련 교육 프로그램을 제공하지 않았다. 4) CHI 관련 취약계층에 대한 서비스를 제공하지 않는 공공도서관의 비율이 82.1%나 되었다. 5) 국내 공공도서관 중 CHI 관련 아웃리치 프로그램 제공비율 및 CHI 관련기관과 협력체계를 구축하고 있는 비율은 약 20% 정도에 지나지 않았다. 본 연구 결과는 국내 공공도서관에서 CHI 서비스를 제공하는 것에 대한 공공도서관 사서들의 관심을 유도하고 관련 연구활동 활성화에 기여할 수 있을 것이다.
