A Study on the Difference in Consumer Demand of Leports Wear and Its Implication for Apparel Development by the Types of Motivation to Participate in Marine Leisure Sports

  • 본 연구는 레저스포츠 참여동기를 유형화하고 그 유형에 따라 레저스포츠웨어에 대한 소비자의 요구 차이를 분석하고자 하였다. 분석결과, 선호 소재의 기능성은 움직임, 쾌적성, 체온유지 등으로 구성되었고, 구매 시 고려요인은 기본 중시, 과시성 중시, 실용성 중시 등 3개의 하위요인이 추출되었다. 개선 요구사항은 기본 기능 개선과 다양한 기능 추가 요인으로 구성되었고, 구매 만족 요인은 브랜드와 실용성, 디자인, 기능성 등 3개의 요인으로 구성되었다. 해양 레저스포츠 참여동기는 매니아, 여가, 건강 유형으로 그룹화되었다. 선호 소재의 기능성은 매니아 유형과 여가 유형이 건강 유형보다 움직임, 쾌적성, 체온유지 기능성을 선호하였다. 구매 시 고려요인은 매니아 유형과 여가 유형이 건강 유형보다 기본 중시, 과시성 중시, 실용성 중시 요인에 대한 고려가 더 높았다. 개선 요구사항에서는 기본기능 개선과 다양한 기능 추가 모두 매니아 유형이 가장 높고 건강 유형이 가장 낮았다. 구매 만족 요인에서는 실용성과 브랜드는 여가 유형이 높았고, 기능성 요인은 매니아 유형과 건강 유형이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 매니아층을 위해서는 기능성과 추가기능에 초점을 맞추고 건강 유형은 디자인이나 활용도 등을 중심으로 제품 개발이 이루어져야 할 것으로 생각된다.

  • The health care environment exerts tremendous influence on community health practices. Here the author mention several major factors that will influence the future plan for health service and health education; that is, economic problem, the issues of decrement of infectious disease, increment of chronic degenerative disease due to natural increase of the elderly, increased frequency of traffic and industrial accidents and the issues of medical-technological advances etc. Therefore, special efforts by health personnel should be made to develop health education and health promotion strategies on a community-wide basis. Accordingly, the flexible accessibility, convenient availability, guaranteed medical service, sufficient supply of health information, and rapidly available medicaid service for special population such as the elderly, the handicapped, the disabled and the poor are considered. Also, the financial support from the central government and local self-government and active participation of health consumer to health service are needed in Korea, The role of the health personnel is to elicit, facilitate and maintain health promoting behavior with his and her assurance for health consumers being competent and supported in the voluntary choice of their health promoting activities. The health promoting activities such as the above mentioned will be produce escalation of their life Quality among Koreans.

Satisfaction of industrial health care managers regarding the work of industrial hygiene engineers: a cross-sectional study

  • Background: A group health service is a system that delegates workplace health management to an entrusted institution. There have been various studies on group health services to date, but recent changes, such as an increase in foreign workers, are rapidly changing industry characteristics. Methods: Satisfaction was assessed using a 27-question survey distributed among 203 workplaces employing health professionals. The survey items consisted of general characteristics, comprehensive satisfaction, requirements for health professionals' work, and satisfaction with work environment management, ergonomic management, and healthcare management. Multiple regression and frequency analyses were performed. Results: The comprehensive satisfaction was 4.08 points on average, out of 5. The comprehensive satisfaction of health professionals in the industry was positively correlated with each factor. Hazardous materials and chemical management (material safety data sheets, MSDSs) were the most common requirements. Conclusion: A low level of satisfaction with work environment management indicates high demand for healthcare management. The working environment should be improved by identifying characteristics of the workplace, examining harmful substances, inspecting equipment, and enhancing worker methods. The shorter the work experience of health professionals, the more dependent they are on group health services. The variables affecting comprehensive satisfaction were the period of work, healthcare management satisfaction, and work environment management satisfaction. Most of the requirements of health professionals in the workplace were practical improvement case presentations, MSDSs, and legal document management.

민간의료보험의 현황 및 활성화에 관한 연구 (A Study on Private Health Insurance in Korea)

  • This study explores the feasibility of activating private health insurance in Korea. The rationale for expanding private supplementary health insurance can be found in many cases of health care reforms in the European countries. Private health insurance can not only relieve the financial distress of the government health insurance programs but also offer the medical institutions incentives to improve the quality of medical care. In Korea there is no supplementary health insurance that reimburses for various kinds of diseases based on a well designed fee schedule. Recently, the cancer insurance is the best seller in the health related insurance market. As observed in the U. S. case, the cancer insurance which pays the predetermined amount (indemnity coverage) regardless of the medical charges incurred to the patient is limited in its coverage for the insured. To provide better protection against catastrophic diseases, the government should give insurance companies incentives to develop health insurance products that cover multiple diseases rather than a single disease. Consumers can hardly understand and compare complex insurance products. To resolve the information asymmetries, the government should publish a consumer report that compare various health insurance products in a user friendly way. In the long run, insurance companies will plan to sell health insurance products that charge risk related premium only when insurers accumulate the underwriting know-hows, the government shares data on various health statistics including claims and demographics, and risk pool for high risk patients is well established and subsidized by the government.

베이비붐세대와 에코세대의 식행동, 식생활관련 소비자교육 현황·역량, 식생활 라이프스타일 차이 (The differences of dietary behaviors, dietary life consumer education related current situations·competencies and dietary lifestyles between baby-boom and echo generations)

  • 연구목적은 베이비붐세대와 그의 자녀 세대인 에코세대를 대상으로 세대 간의 식행동, 식생활관련 소비자교육 현황 및 역량, 그리고 식생활 라이프스타일 차이를 분석하고 이를 기초로 세대 간 차이를 고려한 식생활관련 소비자교육 측면에서의 함의를 찾는 것이다. 이를 위해 2016 식품소비행태조사 원자료를 이용하였으며, 총 2,474명 (베이비붐세대 1,304명 52.7%, 에코세대 1,170명 47.3%)을 대상으로 분석하되, 남성, 여성을 구분하여 세대별 차이를 분석하였다. 식행동으로, 집/집에서 만든 도시락으로 식사를 하는 빈도는 베이비붐세대가 에코세대보다 높은 반면, 단체급식, 카페 베이커리, 편의점, 배달 테이크아웃으로 식사를 하는 빈도는 에코세대가 더 높았다. 지난 일주일 동안 함께 한 식사동반자로써 가족은 남녀 공통으로 아침, 점심, 저녁 모두 베이비붐세대가 에코세대보다 높은 반면, 친구 동료와 함께한 식사빈도는 남녀 공통으로 아침을 제외한 점심, 저녁 시 에코세대가 베이비붐세대보다 높은 특성을 보였다. 그러나 혼자 식사를 하는 빈도는 남녀 모두 두 세대 간 대부분 유의한 차이를 보이지 않았다. 음주빈도는 여성 집단에서, 외식빈도는 남녀 모두 에코세대가 더 높았다. 식생활관련 소비자교육 현황 분석결과는 남녀 모두 세대별로 유의한 차이를 보이지 않았으며 전체적으로 소비자교육 경험률은 매우 낮아, 식품관련 소비자교육 경험자는 전체의 1.6%, 정부주최 식품관련 홍보행사 혹은 소비자단체의 식품관련 행사 경험자는 전체의 1.1%, 1.6% 수준을 각각 보였다. 그러나 이러한 참여 경험이 식생활에 주는 도움 정도는 전체 응답자의 경우 5점 리커트의 3.54점 수준을 보였으며, 식품관련 소비자교육에 대한 태도는 5점 리커트의 3.55점 수준을 보였다. 식생활 관련 1순위 정보원은 베이비붐세대가 주위사람인 반면, 에코세대는 방송으로 나타났으며, 인터넷 블로그 혹은 SNS를 1순위 정보원으로 선택한 경우는 남성, 여성 모두 에코세대가 베이비붐세대에 비해 높게 나타났으며, 정부 혹은 소비자단체의 홈페이지를 정보원으로 선택한 경우는 두 세대 모두 거의 없었다. 식품구입 시 정보이용역량은 여성의 경우, '식품구입 시 필요한 정보를 검색하는 방법을 잘 알고 있음' 측정문항에서만 에코세대가 베이비붐세대보다 유의하게 높았으며, 그 이외의 측정문항은 남녀 모두 세대 간 유의한 차이를 보이지 않았다. 건강한 식생활 역량은 지식수준의 경우 남녀 모두 세대별로 유의한 차이를 보이지 않은 반면, 실천수준은 남녀 모두 베이비붐세대가 에코세대보다 매우 유의하게 높았다. 건강한 식품 (국내산, 지역산, 친환경, 안전한 식품)에 대한 관심도는 남녀 모두 베이비붐세대가 에코세대에 비해 유의하게 높았으나, 가격이 비싸더라도 구입하겠다는 구매실천의지는 남녀 모두 세대별로 유의한 차이를 보이지 않았다. 5개의 식생활 라이프스타일 중 남녀 모두 건강추구 라이프스타일은 베이비붐세대에서 에코세대보다 유의하게 강하게 나타난 반면, 간편추구, 맛 품질추구 라이프스타일은 에코세대에서 강하게 나타났으며, 경제적 (가격)추구와 소량구매추구 라이프스타일은 세대간 차이를 보이지 않았다.

노인요양보장체계의 효율화에 대한 소고 (Reviewing Efficiency Strategy of Long-term Care System)

  • Several common issues are encountered by countries - Germany, Japan, and the United States - that adopted long-term care (LTC) system. First, the demand for LTC and its associated costs have steeply risen following the implementation of the LTC policy. Second, ensuring the quality of services have been difficult. Third, the coordination of services among providers and between LTC and medical care has been inadequate. Learning from their experience, we suggest ways to improve the LTC system in Korea. The basic approach aims for efficiency over equity in the system. This would require promoting provider competition and consumer choice. We propose several policy options according to the major stakeholders. For consumers, cash benefits at fixed rates and personal savings accounts are feasible options to self-contain the demand and cost of services. On the insurer's side, creating an environment of multiple insurers will engender competition, leading to cost savings and quality care. For providers, delivery of quality services through competition, cost-containment through capitated reimbursements, and coordination of services through integrated delivery system can be achieved. From the assessors' perspective, establishing an information system to monitor the activities of insurers and providers would be important, empowering consumers with information to choose cost-effective service providers. In summary, the suggested approach would provide cost-effective LTC services by guaranteeing consumer choice and promoting major stakeholder accountability. Further studies are needed to test the feasibility of this model in ensuring quality LTC in Korea.

대학생들의 모바일 앱을 이용한 금연정보탐색과 행위변화 (Information Seeking and Behavior Change for the Smoking Cessation of College Students Utilizing Mobile Applications)

  • 본 연구는 금연을 실천 및 유지하는 소비자들의 정보요구와 정보탐색행태를 조사하고, 다양한 단계에서 얻은 건강 정보가 건강 행동 변화에 미치는 영향을 분석하는 데 목적이 있다. 특히 이 연구에서는 소비자가 건강에 해로운 행동을 변경하는 데 도움이 되는 모바일 건강 애플리케이션(건강 앱)을 사용하는 방법과 금연 앱 사용이 건강 행위 변화에 미치는 영향을 조사했다. 이 연구는 금연 앱을 사용하는 대학생을 대상으로, 2017년 12월부터 2018년 7월까지 7개월 동안 참여자의 흡연 행동 변화를 관찰하고 대면 인터뷰를 실시했다. 실천단계의 참여자들에 따르면, 금연 기간, 건강 상태 변화, 금연으로 인한 비용 절감 등의 시각화된 정보가 금연을 독려했다. 유지 단계의 참여자들은 금연 앱이 제공하는 커뮤니티를 통해 다른 금연시도자들과 자신의 경험 및 사회적 지원을 공유함으로써 금연의 중요성과 성취를 인식하는 데 도움이 된다는 것을 강조했다. 이 연구는 행동 수정 과정에서 모바일 앱을 사용하는 건강 정보 소비자의 정보 요구 및 정보탐색행태의 유형을 식별했다는 점에서 정보 행위 분야에 이론적 함의를 제공한다. 연구 결과는 금연 시도자의 정보 요구를 반영한 금연 앱의 콘텐츠 설계에 기여할 수 있으며, 나아가 건강 행위 변화에 효과적인 정보 중재 전략을 촉진하는 건강 정보 서비스에 대한 실질적인 통찰을 제시할 수 있다.

A Study on the Effect of Local Food Product Attributes on Satisfaction and Purchase Intention

  • Through these research results, I would like to present some implications for promoting and revitalizing local food sales in Daejeon and establishing a local food system. First, in terms of local food direct stores, when establishing a local food store, location conditions should be considered. If the location cannot be changed, the quality of agricultural products should be improved to improve consumer satisfaction and purchase intention so that consumers can directly feel the value of the product. Second, efforts at the local government level are needed to improve the stability of local food. There are still many consumers who are not properly aware of local food. It is necessary to improve consumers' interest in the value of local food by providing education including social and environmental information on the production and distribution process of local food. Third, policy efforts on local food are needed. It is necessary to introduce and reorganize the local food certification system to emphasize the stability of local food to consumers and form trust. Finally, for the continuous development of local food, research on the satisfaction and purchase intention of local food consumers must be continuously conducted.

경기도 시흥지역 주부들의 연령에 따른 영양표시 인식과 이용실태 (Recognition and Use of Nutrition Labeling According to Age Groups of Housewives in Siheung, Gyeonggi Province)

  • In this study, 294 housewives in Siheung, Gyeonggi-do, were surveyed to evaluate the differences in the recognition and use of nutrition labeling according to age and to present data for nutrition education. The younger the age, the more aware the consumer was of the information on the nutrition label. Housewives who were younger than 60 years were more likely to check the nutrition labels. The lower the age, the higher the reliance on the nutritional labeling content of the food, and the higher the recognition level of nutritional labeling. It was found that the lower the age, the easier it was for the consumer to understand the nutritional labeling. Among housewives in their 30s and younger, 89.5 percent said they believed checking nutrition labels would help their health. In the younger age group knowledge and information on nutrition labeling was acquired from the internet, and in the older age group, knowledge was acquired from television, radio, and newspapers. Research conducted on housewives in other regions in the future could provide more detailed information suitable for the population of each region. This would serve as data for nutrition education on the recognition and use of nutrition labeling for a healthy diet.

우리나라 국민의 건강정보이해력 수준과 사회경제적 특성 및 건강행태와의 관계 (A Survey on the Level and Related Factors of Health Literacy in Korean People)

  • Background: The purpose of this study is to measure the Korean health literacy level and to analyse its gaps according to the factors of socioeconomic and health status and health behaviors. Based on this, policy implications were reviewed to improve the understandability on health information and to reduce the gap among socioeconomic groups. Methods: HLS-EU-Q47, a tool developed by the European Health Literacy Project, was used to conduct a face-to-face interview survey on the health literacy for the samples from general population. Results: The public general health literacy (HL) index was 34.5 out of 50. HL is consisted of three sub-dimensions: healthcare (HC-HL), disease prevention (DP-HL), and health promotion (HP-HL). And a HL analysis found scores of 34.7 points for HC-HL, 35.4 points for DP-HL, and 33.3 points for HP-HL. The level of all HL was different according to socioeconomic characteristics and health behavior. Conclusion: Based on the results of this study, more research activities on health-related literacy need to be conducted, and monitoring system on the HL level needs to be developed and implemented. In addition, a program to improve HL levels needs to be developed in order to strengthen the basis for a more sustainable healthcare system as an agenda with national health policy priority.
