  • In a modern mass society, a theme park satisfies a consumer's desire of being meaningful in such an imaginary space, which is far beyond the real life. The introductory area of the theme park is a boundary between th real and the imaginary spaces and a fundamental spac of realizing the introductory imaginary space. The objective of this study is to suggest an appropriate method of design application by analyzing the characteristics of the theme park with an example, a theoretical background is first presented by examining the characteristics of the introductory are of the theme park. Than, as an example that reflects well its characteristics, 'Global fair' of the Everland is selected and analyzed based on the developed theoretical background.

  • While CRM has recently attracted a lot of attention among academics and practitioners, most academic research in this area has focused on consumer markets, but CRM in industry markets is less focused research area so far. Companies in industry market have suspected effects of the relationship between CRM's activities and performance which is related to customer satisfaction and customer loyalty. The main purpose of this research support CRM strategy development. Therefore, this research is focused on as follows; first, defining the concept of CRM and performance second, identifying the customer relationship's characteristics and CRM relational activities in industrial markets third, verifying the relationship between customer satisfaction and customer loyalty in the case of Steel industry which is whether the CRM relational activities have effects on customer loyalty directly, or indirectly through customer satisfaction.

  • This study is trying to classify and analyse the Internet shopping mall related studies from 1997 to 2006 in order to provide comprehensive view about Internet shopping mall. Another aim of this study is to give the future research themes around this area through consideration of needed research parts. First, we summarise the related terms, definitions and classification of Internet shopping mall itself. Then we classify the studies into two groups - researches about company behavior and researches about consumer behavior. We review the studies of each categories and classify them into more detail area. Finally we attempt to give integrated frameworks of each categories.

Research in Shopping: Review of Academic Disciplines for a Shopping Theory (쇼핑연구 고찰: 학술영역 이해를 통한 쇼핑이론의 기초적 접근)

  • As a very first step for theorizing shopping, this study attempted to diagnose the current of shopping research. Using the keyword of shopping from major academic databases in Korea, the study collected 560 research articles and analyzed patterns of: 1) research by year, journal, and academic area; 2) researchers by academic area; 3) keywords; and 4) research contents. Analyses showed that two thirds of articles in shopping were published after 2000. While the number of journals was the highest in business and engineering, the numbers of articles and researchers were the highest in business and apparel. The most frequently used included internet shopping mall, internet shopping, and shopping orientation. About 66% of shopping research was internet shopping related, and 80% was empirical study using individual consumers. Though shopping was studied as an individual consumer behavior, there were noticeable patterns in research contents by academic field. The study discussed such patterns and provided implications for multidisciplinary approaches for shopping theory and research.

Use of the Commercial Korean Traditional Foods among College Students in Chungbuk Area (충북지역 대학생의 가공 판매되는 한국전통음식에 대한 이용실태)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the awareness and preference for the commercial Korean traditional foods among college students in Chungbuk area. There was no significant difference between male and female strudents in frequency and occasion of utilization of the commercial Korean traditional foods. Grilled and pan fried foods were the most preferred items and most frequently used by both male and female students They disliked cooked rices and soups most. The major reason why they liked or dislike them was due to whether they were palatable or not. The flavor seemed to be the most important factor for consumer's preference and it should be improved to increase the consumption of the commercial Korean traditional foods.

Wide-Area SCADA System with Distributed Security Framework

  • With the smart grid coming near, wide-area supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) becomes more and more important. However, traditional SCADA systems are not suitable for the openness and distribution requirements of smart grid. Distributed SCADA services should be openly composable and secure. Event-driven methodology makes service collaborations more real-time and flexible because of the space, time and control decoupling of event producer and consumer, which gives us an appropriate foundation. Our SCADA services are constructed and integrated based on distributed events in this paper. Unfortunately, an event-driven SCADA service does not know who consumes its events, and consumers do not know who produces the events either. In this environment, a SCADA service cannot directly control access because of anonymous and multicast interactions. In this paper, a distributed security framework is proposed to protect not only service operations but also data contents in smart grid environments. Finally, a security implementation scheme is given for SCADA services.

  • The ubiquitous nature of large area TFT-LCD televisions are truly one of the major success stories of consumer electronic products for the $21^{st}$ century. It is the industry's ability to lower prices over the years that have made TFT-LCD television an affordable option for the majority of consumers. TFT-LCD equipment manufacturers have played a major role these cost reduction efforts. Increasing requirements for high process quality like for eg UHD panels need to be met simultaneously with the demand of an highly productive and reliable equipment. AKT provides an excellent PVD product by improving performance and cost of ownership (CoO) for Gen8.5 and beyond.

  • During the last three decades power electronics has gone through energetic technical evolution. The technical needs from wide area such as in industrial, commercial, consumer, aerospace and environmental applications have driven the environment favorably for the power electronics. In the future, two extreme technology-expansion trends are expected: one into low power, and the other into very high power. The former is based on the high frequency and the circuit miniature using VLSI circuit and surface mounting aiming for the system-on-chip (SOC) technology. The latter includes the application areas of power utility such as HVDC, FACTS and SVC and large science area of electrophsycal apparatus such as thermonuclear fusion, acclerators, and electric guns. This paper describes the technology status of some major elements which are available today and the key roles of the power electronics from view points of applications. The author would like to take this opportunity to raise discussions about the future technology development trend of power electronics in our country with the fellow power electronics engineers.

숙녀복 치수표기법에 대한 소비자의 선호도 조사연구

  • This study investigated whether consumer's characteristics affect their preference of size labeling systems. The survey included 443 women 20 to 64 years of age. The results show that the consumers' preferences of five size labeling systems were different significantly. Subjects strongly prefered the size label in use for many years at the marker. The consumers' preference for various systems was different by resident area, educational level, and body types of the subjects. The system with information on body measrements was prefered by the resident in the metro city area than the resident in the small city. The simplest system was strongly prefered by the subjects having no difficulties on purchasing ready-to-wear garments that reasonably fit their bodies. The subjects belonged to the low educational level strongly prefered the simplest system.

  • A Study of Instant rice selected attributes of instant rice, the decrease in rice consumption is in fact been hailed as a stock and based on dietary lifestyle through prior research, attempting to validate whether the behavior between the related implications. The instant rice revitalization plan of conducting were developed further, consumers want instant rice and at the same time. Confirmed based on the selected attributes of instant rice according to consumer dietary lifestyle through this research to know could have instant rice selection attributes affect the degree of the action. Compare the differences of regional instant rice selected attributes gradually increasing area for future research, instant rice consumers surveyed Seoul, Gyeonggi-do area only residing in the limitations of this study, which, because you are studying in different regions.
