Undrained triaxial tests were peformed for a weathered soil, which includes local measurement using LVDT The behavior from small In large strain conditions could be evaluated consistently through a triaxial test, The stress-strain relationship of undisturbed samples were compared with the disturbed and the shear moduli in the small strain level had the almost same values. Especially the shear moduli were mostly affected by the initial condition of water contents. An anisotropic hardening model based on the total stress concept could predict the stress-strain relationship accurately, which makes it possible to analyze the geotechnical problem reasonably for the weathered soil.
An analytical model incorporating bending and shear behavior is presented to predict the lateral loading characteristic for rectangular hollow columns. The moment-curvature relationship for the rectangular hollow sections of a column is firstly determined. Then the nonlinear lateral load-displacement relationship for the hollow column can be obtained accordingly. In this model, thirteen constitutive laws for confined concrete and five approaches to estimate the shear capacity are used. A series of tests on 12 model hollow columns aimed at the seismic shear behavior are reported, and the test data are compared to the analytical results. It is found that the analytical model reflects the experimental results rather closely.
The moment-curvature relationship of reinforced concrete beams made of normal- and high-strength concrete experiencing complex load history is studied using a numerical method that employs the actual stress-strain curves of the constitutive materials and takes into account the stress-path dependence of the concrete and steel reinforcement. The load history considered includes loading, unloading and reloading. From the results obtained, it is found that the complete moment-curvature relationship, which is also path-dependent, is similar to the material stress-strain relationship with stress-path dependence. However, the unloading part of the moment-curvature relationship of the beam section is elastic but not perfectly linear, although the unloading of both concrete and steel is assumed to be linearly elastic. It is also observed that when unloading happens, the variation of neutral axis depth has different trends for under- and over-reinforced sections. Moreover, even when the section is fully unloaded, there are still residual curvature and stress in the section in some circumstances. Various issues related to the post-peak behavior of reinforced concrete beams are also discussed.

A numerical tool for predicting the behavior of reinforced concrete structures under uniaxial loads is proposed. Concrete is considered as quasi-brittle material, and for a reinforcing bar, an elastic-perfectly plastic constitutive relationship is adopted. In this study, the behavior of reinforced concrete according to the interface properties between the concrete and steel is analyzed. Comparisons between the numerical predictions and the experimental results show good agreements in the load-deflection behaviors and ultimate loads of reinforced concrete structures.
Based on the two-dimensional constitutive relationship of the piezoelastic material, this paper derived an analytic solution to the elastic beam with the piezoelectric layer under the electric field, presented the explicit expressions of its displacement and stress. It is helpful for understanding the electrical and mechanical behavior of piezoelectric materials as actuators and the validation of the numerical methods such as FEM.

It is difficult to predict material behavior of forming process because the plastic instable flow phenomenon happens in practical forming process I. e. upsetting backward extrusion piercing indentation. In view of the direct relationship between instable material flow and quality defects of the products we should find out their phenomena, In this study we introduced the plastic spin and the kinematic hardening considering the kinematic hardening constitutive equation for rate-dependent material. Also analysis of upset forging is carried out using the rigid plastic FEM with Al7075

In this study, to predict the behavior of RC beam strengthened with Carbon fiber reinforced polymer(CFRP) plate, analytical program considering material non-linearity is developed. Strain compatibility and force equilibrium are applied and internal forces of constitutive material are calculated using nonlinear stress-strain relationship. Also, to certainty the reliability of analytical program, deflection, strain of CFRP plate, change of neutral axis on cross section and crack distribution at failure are compared with those of experiment, and each results are almost coincident.
A computer code was developed to simulate the filling stage of the injection/compression molding process by a finite element method. The constitutive equation used here was the compressible Leonov model. The PVT relationship was assumed to follow the Tait equation. The flow-induced birefringence was related to the calculated flow stresses through the linear stress-optical law. Simulations of a disk part under different process conditions including the variation of compression stroke and compression speed were carried out to understand their effects on birefringence variation. The simulated results were also compared with those by conventional injection molding.

An analytical model which can simulate the post-cracking behavior of reinforced concrete structures subjected to in-plane shear and normal stresses is presented. Based on the force equilibriums, compatibility conditions, and bond stress-slip relationship between steel and concrete, a criterion to simulate consider the tension-stiffening effect is proposed. The material behavior of concrete is described by an orthotropic constitutive model, and focused on the tension-compression region with tension-stiffening and compression softening effects defining equivalent uniaxial relations in the axes of orthotropy. Correlation studies between analytical results and available experimental data are conducted with the objective to establish the validity of the proposed model.
A constitutive model unifying plasticity and crack damage mode)s was developed to address the cyclic behavior of reinforced concrete planar members. The stress of concrete in tension-compression was conceptually defined by the sum of the compressive stress developed by the strut-action of concrete and the tensile stresses developed by tensile cracking. The plasticity model with multiple failure criteria was used to describe the isotropic damage of compressive crushing affected by the anisotropic damage of tensile cracking. The concepts of the multiple fixed crack damage model and the plastic flow model of tensile cracking were used to describe the tensile stress-strain relationship of multi-directional cracks. This unified model can describe the behavioral characteristics of reinforced concrete in cyclic tension-compression conditions, i.e. multiple tensile crack orientations, progressively rotating crack damage, and compressive crushing of concrete. The proposed constitutive model was implemented to finite element analysis, and it was verified by comparison with existing experimental results from reinforced concrete shear panels and walls under cyclic load conditions.
