The DMAIC methodology, which is most familiar to battery production system developers, is partially inadequate in its conformity to utilize battery production system tasks, so it is necessary to improve the function and structure of the methodology, but many battery production system developers use the DMAIC method based on experience, causing side effects such as confusion, delay in tasks, and insufficient performance during tasks. Accordingly, we intend to conduct an empirical study to improve the "efficiency improvement and conformity evaluation method" so that the DMAIC methodology can be used more reasonably and easily. Using the three-stage research model, we derive components that affect conformity through literature and questionnaire surveys in the first stage, use relational characteristics between components in the second stage to confirm the effect on conformity, and use the relational characteristics in the third stage to confirm the possibility of improving efficiency by applying them to the DMAIC methodology in actual cases. Finally, the "Conformity Assessment Index (CAI) equation" based on relational characteristics is established to enable effective conformity evaluation and continuous improvement.

Due to environmental pollution and human hazards of some synthetic dyes, the global fashion companies are increasingly interested in eco-friendly products, especially natural dye. For the globalization of natural dyeing industry based on this concern, however, there are some deficiencies of standardization, specification, and conformity assessment on natural dyestuffs as well as natural dyeing process. These obstacles should be not only studied but also defined for a commercial transaction. Accordingly, a study for conformity assessment on commercialized natural dyestuffs (red) was conducted by HPLC analysis in this study. As the results of HPLC analysis, alizarin and purpurin, representative index ingredients, were detected in most of the samples, but the index ingredient content in each sample was different. In addition, some samples showed the variety of peaks including the index ingredients and others. It was inferred that the representative index ingredients could be used on the traceability of natural sourced dyestuffs. These results are related to the index ingredient consistency, standardization, and reproducibility of natural dyed products including such as yarns, fabrics, garments, and so on. Therefore, the present study was demonstrated that in order to determine the conformity assessment system for the satisfaction of all stakeholders, the offering of information on the origin, manufacturing process, and index ingredient content of natural dyes should be prioritized.
The purpose of this study is a comparison of forward planning(FP) and inverse planning(IP) of a radiosurgery procedure. 10 patients of acoustic schwannoma MR image were used for treatment plan. FP-1,2 and IP were established under the same condition. FP and IP were compared by number of shot, conformity index(CI), paddic conformity index(PCI), gradiant index(GI) and treatment time. On average the treatment plan produced by IP tool provided an improved or similar CI, PCI, GI and reduced treatment time as compared to the FP (CI;FP-1:0.85, FP-2:0.86, IP:0.94, PCI;FP-1:0.79, FP-2:0.81, IP:0.78, GI;FP-1:2.94, FP-2:2.94, IP:3.01). The inverse planning system provides a clinically useful plan while reducing the planning time and treatment time.
The central goal of Gamma Knife radiosurgery(GKRS) is to maximize the conformity of the prescription isodose surface, and to minimize the radiation effect of the normal tissue surrounding the target volume. There are the various kinds of indices related with the quality of treatment plans such as conformity index, coverage, selectivity, beam-on time, gradient index(GI), and conformity/gradient index(CGI). As the best treatment plan evaluation tool, we must check by all means conformity index, GI, and CGI among them. Specially, GI and CGI related with complication of healthy normal tissue is more indispensible than conformity index. Then author calculated and statistically analysed CGI, the newly defined conformity/gradient index as well as GI being applied widely using the treatment planning system Leksell GammaPlan(LGP) and the verification method Variable Ellipsoid Modeling Technique(VEMT). In the study 10 patients with intracranial lesion treated by GKRS were included. Author computed the indices from LGP and VEMT requiring only four parameters: the prescribed isodose volume, the volume with dose > 30%, the target volume, and the volume of half the prescription isodose. All data were analyzed by paired t-test, which is statistical method used to compare two different measurement techniques. No statistical significance in GI at 10 cases was observed between LGP and VEMT. Differences in GI ranged from -0.14 to 0.01. The newly defined gradient index calculated by two methods LGP and VEMT was not statistically significant either. Author did not find out the statistical difference for the prescribed isodose volume between LGP and VEMT. CGI as the evaluation index for determining the best treatment plan is not significant statistically also. Differences in CGI ranged from -4 to 3. Similarly newly defined Conformity/Gradient index for GKRS was also estimated as the metric for the evaluation of the treatment plans through statistical analysis. Statistical analyses demonstrated that VEMT was in excellent agreement with LGP when considering GI, new gradient index, CGI, and new CGI for evaluating the best plans of GKRS. Due to the application of the fast and easy evaluation tool through LGP and VEMT author hopes CGI and newly defined CGI as well as gradient indices will be widely used.
Optimum field size for the whole body stereotactic radiosurgery was studied. Dose distributions from the various sizes of targets (diameter 1cm to 7cm, icm interval) were used for this study. Planing scores, expressed as the Target Coverage Index (TCI), were calculated for various target Margin ranged 0cm to 0.5cm. Highest scores were obtained for no Margin to the target size. The target Margin -0.5cm to 0cm to the target showed best TCI the cases of the target size larger than 6cm diameter. No Margin or 0.5cm Margin generated best TCI for less than 2cm cases. Prescription to 80~90% gives best results.
Purpose: This study is to evaluate reliability of geometrical optics properties of spectacle lenses by using ISO and the medical instrument standard of KFDA, which are being sold in Korea. Methods: We used samples of three hundred and ninety eight spectacle lenses of eight company in total. Refractive indices of each samples which were used in experiment were classified into three groups of medium index (1.55~1.56), high index (1.60~1.61) and extra high index (1.67). Results: Conformity of refractive power was 81.61% in total spectacle lenses. The results showed that thickness conformity 90%, appearance conformity 85.18%, size conformity 96.23% and optical center point conformity 99.50% in total. Conclusions: We found that they deviated from the permitting value in many spectacle lenses on refractive power. The results of errors on prism power, surface inspection and optical center point showed small values in total products. In experiment of lens size and thickness, the bulk of indication rates and conformities of samples deviated from the permitting errors.

We compared intensity-modulated radiotherapy (IMRT) treatment plans with commercially available multileaf collimators (MLCs) of different leaf width for intracranial lesions. Twelve cases previously treated with micro-MLCs(mMLCs) were replanned using the Varian 120 and 80 MLCs. These collimators have minimum leaf width of 3mm, 5 mm and 10 mm at isocenter, respectively. These three plans were compared with respect to the uniformity and the conformity indices, doses to normal tissue. For the uniformity index of planning target volume (PTV),there was no statistically significant difference between mMLCs with 120 MLCs (p = 0.06). However, there was a little difference between mMLCs with 80 MLCs (p = 0.001). Maximum target dose to the PTV showedno dependency with respect to the leaf width. On the contrary, there were statistically significant differences in the conformity indices between mMLCs and 120 MLCs (p = 0.003) and between mMLCs and 80 MLCs (p = 0.003).The volumetric increments for MLCs with leaf widths of 5 mm and 10 mm were 6.3% and 23.2% for the normal tissue Irradiated to = 50% dose, and 8.7% and 32.7% for the normal tissue Irradiated to = 70% dose, respectively, compared to the volume for MLCs with leaf width of 3 mm. This shows that for the sparing of normal tissue, MLCs with leaf width of 3 mm are more effective, compared to MLCs with leaf widths of 5 mm and 10 mm.

Purpose: To compare desimetrically intensity-modulated radiotherapy treatment plans with commercially available multileaf collimators (MLCs) of different leaf width for intracranial lesions. Materials and Methods: Twelve patients with intracranial lesions were treated with BrainLAB's micro-MLCs (mMLCs) and performed with the BrainSCAN ver. 5.2 planning software. They were replanned using the Varian 120 and 80 MLCs. These collimators have minimum leaf width of 3 mm, 5 mm and 10 mm at isocenter, respectively. PTV was $3.3~339.2\textrm{cm}^3$ and the number of beams was 3~7. These three plans were compared with respect to the uniformity and the conformity indices, doses to critical organ and normal tissue. Results: For the uniformity index of the planning target volume (PTV), there were no statistically significant differences between mMLCs and 120 MLCs (p=0.057) and between 120 MLCs and 80 MLCs (p=0.388). However, there was a difference between mMLCs and 80 MLCs (p<0.001). Maximum target dose to the PTV showed no dependency with respect to the leaf width. On the contrary, there were statistically significant differences in the conformity indices between mMLCs and 120 MLCs (p=0.003), between mMLCs and 80 MLCs (p=0.003) and between 120 MLCs and 80 MLCs (p=0.003). The volume of brainstem irradiated to $\geq$70% dose and to $\geq$50% dose was increased as the leaf width of MLCs increased. In particular, the volume of normal tissue irradiated is obviously changed for different leaf width. Volumetric increments for MLCs with leaf widths of 5 mm and 10 mm were 6.3% and 23.2% to the normal tissue irradiated to $\geq$50% dose, and 8.7% and 32.7% to the normal tissue irradiated to $\geq$70% dose, respectively, compared to the volume for MLCs with leaf width of 3 mm. Conclusions: The uniformity index and maximum target dose to the PTV showed no dependency with respect to leaf width of MLCs. However, the conformity index was improved as the leaf width decreased. For the sparing of normal brain tissue, treatment plans with MLCs of 3 mm leaf width is more effective, compared to ones with MLCs of 5 mm and 10 mm leaf widths.
