Design and Implementation of Cyber Space using H.323 Terminal and Gatekeeper (H.323 단말기와 게이트키퍼를 이용한 사이버 공간의 설계 및 구현)

  • In this paper, a cyber space for multimedia conference is designed and implemented using gatekeeper and web service which satisfies H.323 standards. The implemented gatekeeper manages a registration and a call control for H.323 video conference terminals. The implemented gate-keeper can manage registered users efficiently with directory services using web service. Also, software maintenance of video conference system is established by service provider instead of users using control download on web. finally, we present the practical use of video conference through various applications of directory services.

  • The UNESCO World Conference on "Education for Sustainable Development - Moving into the Second Half of the United Nations Decade" was held in Bonn, Germany, from 31 March to 2 April 2009, as the DESD approaches it's mid-point. It brought 900 participants including 47 ministers and deputy-ministers of education from 147 countries. The objectives of the conference were to: (1) highlight the essential contribution of Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) to all of education and to achieving quality education ("Why is ESD relevant?"); (2) promote international exchange on ESD ("What can we learn from each other?"); (3) carry out a stock-taking of DESD implementation ("What have we achieved so far, what are the lessons learnt?"); (4) develop strategies for the way ahead ("Where do we want to go from here ?"). The conference provided opportunities for all participants to recognize the importance of ESD as the way to meet challenges of the present unsustainable world and discuss outcomes of first-half of DESD and action plans for second-half of DESD. In particular, one plenary session was focused on the DESD Monitoring and Evaluation process, with a presentation of the key findings of the draft global report on the context and structures of ESD, as well as regional perspectives. As a result of the conference, participants adopted the Bonn Declaration which would serve as the backbone for the further development of the post-Bonn process within the framework of the DESD.

Design and Evaluation of Data Input/output for Video Conference System (화상회의 시스템에서의 데이터 입출력 설계 및 평가)

  • In this paper, we propose the method in which multimedia data simultaneously transfers to the main memory and the multimedia processor from the network interface card to improve bottleneck of system bus through analysis for architecture of video conference system and input/output model. The proposed method can reduce the number of system bus accesses, bus cycles, data transmission time and compression ratio of video data in the video conference system. We compared the performance between the proposed method and the conventional methods in the multi-party video conference systems. The simulation results showed that the proposed method was reduced the transmission time of multimedia data than the conventional method.

  • A video-conference system is being utilized in web based application services in various fields due to the widespread use of Internet and the progress of computer technologies. This system should use the public IP address for sharing file and white board and it is difficult to manage the internal network users of the firewall and non-public IP address users. In this paper, we propose an Application Level Gateway which transforms non-public IP address into public IP address. This mechanism is for the internal network users of the firewall or non-public IP address users over the Internet. We also propose a Control Daemon which manages video and audio media dynamically according to network bandwidth. This mechanism can start and terminate a video conference and manage the process of the video conference.

  • Video conference system has guided swiftness of information transmission and business processing taking away time and manufacturing drug of space that is happened that long-distance people gather and talk. But, leakage of important meeting contents, peculation etc.. in that execute video -conferences can happen. Therefore, research about video conference system of safety is progressing under secure superhigh speed information communication fetters. This treatise studied about techniques to encipher videotex to prevent variation and outward flow of burn information, peculation etc.. except general encryption notation such as user certification to have drawn problem about stability of general video conference system, and is used present as countermeasure about here. Used improved Vernam's encryption techniques to encrypt videotex.

  • 최근 영상 처리 기술이 발달함에 따라 다양한 응용시스템에 영상 처리 기술을 접목하려는 시도가 나타나고 있다. 특히 영상 내의 얼굴을 객체로 다루는 인식 기술의 발전으로 얼굴 정보를 이용한 기술의 응용 분야는 게임 및 카메라 둥 다양한 분야에서 사용되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 오프라인 회의 보조 시스템에서 화자를 구분하기 위한 기법을 제시한다. 제안된 기법은 얼굴 객체 정보에서 화자 구별을 위한 특징 값을 제시하고, 이를 이용하여 얻어진 입 주변 엣지(Edge)를 이루는 픽셀들의 분산 값으로 화자 여부를 판단한다.

  • In this paper, we propose a new algorithm to detect human faces for controling a camera used in video conference. We model the distribution of skin color and set up the standard skin color in YIQ color space. An input video frame image is segmented into skin and non-skin segments by comparing the standard skin color and each pixels in the input video frame. Then, shape filler is applied to select face segments from skin segments. Our algorithm detects human faces in real time to control a camera to capture a human face with a proper size and position.

  • In this paper, we implement a video conference system, which connects remote PCs. Each system receives video and audio data from devices attached to a PC and compresses them by using CODECs. It sends the compressed data to the opponent. Compared to the existing ones, the proposed system can combine two video streams into a new one. Thus, additional video data can be transferred to the opponent during a call.

  • The biggest issue of the current international maritime transport is that EU had decided to apply the Competition Law about Shipping Conference since 2008 and UNCITRAL Convention which is the substitute of international rules related with existing maritime transport passed UN General Assembly. This movement indicates that international rules of international maritime transport are not focusing on shipping companies or forwarders anymore but consignors. According to the current circumstances, it is time for us to convert existing shipping companies and forwarders centered rules system into consignors centered international rules system as well. Thus, this study has compared and analyzed between each country's law of Shipping Conference and Korean governing law, Ocean Shipping Act.
