A cone-shaped active magnetic bearing spindle system for high speed internal grinding is designed and tested. The cone-shaped AMB system consists of only 4 couples of magnet, it can be smaller and lighter than conventional radial-axial-type AMB system. In this paper, the cone-shaped electromagnets are designed by magnetic circuit theory, and de-coupled direct feedback PID controller is applied to control the coupled magnetic bearings. The designed cone-shaped AMB spindle system is built and constructed with a digital control system, and tested its stbility and dynamic performances. As the results of the tests, this spindle runs up to 40,000 rpm with about 5 ${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ of runout, and the AMB system provides high damping ratio eliminating overshoot and resonance speed.
The purpose of this study is to classify of the Cone shaped Pendants in old tombs of Three Kingdom States. These Cone shaped Pendants are made of bronze and coated with gold plate or Gold. Each Cone shaped Pendants consists of a Sehwhan(細環) type or Taewhan type, a median part in the form of a several joined small globe, or circular shape, and finally a cone-shared pendant. Cone shaped Pendants is 5 part(A-L A-b, B-1-a, B-1-b, B-2-b type) in according to the styles of the Sehwhan(細環) and Taewhan type and median ornament types. A-a, A-b, B-1-a, B-1-b type was general style that was found in most of the old tombs in Kokuryo, Pacjae, ancient Silla. B-2-b type was excavated from the only Kokuryo tombs.
A method of making inserts for shaped fields in electron beam therapy on the Mevatron KD 67-7467 Linear Acclerator is introduced. The inserts are made from an alloy called Lipowitz metal. These are designed to fit the inside of the standard Siemens cones. Studies have shown that this method does not adversely affect field flatness. However, if the ratio of shaped field to open field is greater than about 70%, the output dose is significantly changed by the inserts. Because the cone ratios for the fields do not follow the open cone ratio curves on the Mevatron KD 67-7467, we separated the cone ratio suggested by Biggs into two parts, the insert ratio and the cone factor. The dosimetry for these shaped beams has been investigated extensively.

A frictionless positioning device using cone-shaped active magnetic bearings(AMBs) is developed, which is driven by a brushless DC motor equipped with resolver. The cone-shaped AMB feature that the structure is simple and yet the five d.o.f. rotor motion is controlled by four magnet pairs. A linearized dynamic model, which accounts for the relationship between input voltage and output current in the cone-shaped magnet, is developed and the azimuth motion of the frictionless positioning device is modeled as the second order system. The feedback controller is designed by using linear quadratic regulator with integral action optimal control law so that the cone-shaped AMB system is stabilized and the frictionless positioning device gets the zero steady state. It is observed that the linearized dynamic model is adequate and the frictionless positioning device can achieve the tracking accuracy within the sensor resolution.

A cone-shaped active magnetic healing spindle system for high speed internal grinding with built-in motor that has 7.5kW power and maximum rotational speed of 50,000 rpm is designed and built. Using cone-shaped AMB(Active Magnetic Bearing) system, the axial rotor dick and magnets of conventional 5-axis actuating design can be eliminated. so this concept of design provides a simple magnetic bearing system. In this paper, the cone-shaped electromagnets are designed by magnetic circuit theory, and a de-coupled direct feedback PID controller is applied to control the coupled magnetic bearings. The designed crone-shaped AMB spindle system is built and constructed with a digital control system, which has TMS320C6702 DSP, 16 bit AD/DA, switching power amplifier and gap sensors. As the AMB system provides high damping ratio eliminating overshoot and resonance speed, this spindle runs up to 40,000 rpm stably with about 5${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ of runout.

The cablebolt which secures a workability and stability has been used in foreign countries as one of supporting materials with rebar rockbolt especially in construction of large underground structures. However, only the rebar rockbolt has been applied up to now to all the constructions of underground structures in Korea due to an absence of recognition of cablebolt and large underground structure projects. Consequently, the research for a performance evaluation and verification of cablebolt is very limited and only the proto-type field tests have been conducted. In this study, the cone-shaped button cablebolt is developed by modifying an existing button cablebolt. To evaluate a performance and applicability of cone-shaped button cablebolt, the laboratory pull tests are conducted and bond capacity is analyzed under a various conditions. The rebar rockbolt, plane cablebolt, and bulb cablebolt which has a similar mechanical behavior with cone-shaped button cablebolt, are also tested and their bond capacities are evaluated and compared with cone-shaped button cablebolt under the same condition. The results show that the bond capacity is in the order of (cone-shaped button cablebolt$\approx$bulb cablebolt) > rockbolt > plane cablebolt. It is found that the bond capacity of cone-shaped button cablebolt developed in this study is at least equivalent with an existing high performance cablebolt developed in foreign countries, therefore the cone-shaped button cablebolt could be used as one of supporting materials for underground structures in construction field.

Purpose: The aim of this retrospective study was to investigate the prevalence rate and types of C-shaped roots and C-shaped canal in maxillary molars by analyzing cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) in a Korean population. Materials and Methods: Total of 357 CBCT images of maxillary molars (186 first molar, 171 second molar) were evaluated by two Endodontic specialists. Results: Eight types of C-shaped roots and 5 types of C-shaped canals were founded, the prevalence rate of C-shaped roots and canals were 21.0% and 5.3% respectively. Conclusion: These anatomical variations were more frequent in second molars than the first molars. Clinicians should have anatomical knowledge about various types of C-shaped root and root canal for successful root canal therapy.
This research focused on determining the brassiere preference index and wearing status of chinese ladies in their 20's living in the Shanghai region of China, to help Korean lingerie companies in their development of bras to successfully advance into the Chinese lingerie market. The main research tool of this research was various different surveys, and the results of the surveys were evaluated using the SPSS 12.0 for Window program. The results of the survey can be summarized as: 1) consciousness and satisfaction level of the body. The satisfaction level of the brest was proportionate to the size of the brassiere, thus, people showed higher level of satisfaction for cone-shaped, semi-circular shaped, prominent-shaped(exposing), lifted-shaped brest over flat-shaped brest. Concerning the relationship between the shape of the brest and the age of the customers, people under 22 years of age preferred flat-shaped, and those between 23-24 years of age preferring exposing and lifted brest, thus as females mature and get older, the size of their brest increases, thus having preference on more circular and lifted-shaped brest and bras. 2) Status of bra wearing in China When we look at the size of the bra in relation to the shape of the brest, those classified as having 'flat-shaped' brest showed a high proportion of A-cups, ranging from 75A, 70A and 80A, where as those of 'cone-shaped' brest represented high ration of B-cups, ranging from 75B, 75A and 80B. Majority of those classified as having 'semi-circular shaped' and 'prominent-shaped(exposing)' brest showed a high ration in the size 80 range. And vast majority of those classified into the 'lifted-shaped' brest group, were reported of having C-cup size bras. 3) Status of Bra Purchasing As people mature, the main reason behind choosing a bra was the actual design of the bra, where they emphasized the importance of aesthetic values. People classified as having 'flat-shaped' and 'cone-shaped' brest emphasized the importance of design and beauty, while those having 'semi-circular shaped,' 'prominent-shaped(exposing),' and 'liftedshaped' brest groups emphasized the importance of hygiene and the material(fabric) of the bra. This shows that when people have relatively smaller brest, they emphasize the importance of external appearance whereas when the size of the brest increases, they pay more attention to the function of the bra rather than the external appearance.
Objective: The aim of this study was to investigate the incidence of the C-shaped canal of permanent mandibular second molar (PMSM) in Korean sub-population using Cone-Beam CT (CBCT) data and analyze the types of C-shaped canal. Materials & Methods: The protocol for this study was approved by the Institutional Review Board at the Pusan National University Hospital (E-2011039). Among the CBCT images taken of patients who visited the St. Bennedict Dental Hospital (Busan, Korea) from May 2008 to April 2011 for implant surgery and surgical removal of impacted teeth, high-quality CBCTs from 705 patients (361 male and 342 female) were screened and 607 PMSMs of 383 patients were evaluated retrospectively. All PMSMs were anatomically analyzed in detail by using image viewer software (EasyDent; Vatech). PMSMs were evaluated in the axial plane to investigate the shape of root and canals. The C-shaped canals were classified into five types. The total incidence, gender ratio, bilateral and unilateral appearance. and the correlation between right-side and left-side occurrences of C-shaped PMSMs were computed and compared statistically using the chi-square test. Results: Among the 607 PMSMs of 383 CBCTs of 187 females and 196 males, 198 PMSMs(32.6%) had C-shaped root and 158 PMSMs(26.0%) had C-shaped canals. The shape of C-shaped root canals at the furcalion level did not have significant change at the level of mid root (P<0.0001). Female had more prevalence of C-shaped root canals than male (P<0.0001). The prevalence of bilateral occurrence of C-shaped root canals was higher than unilateral occurrence. Conclusions: The occurrence of C-shaped PMSMs among a Korean population was 32.6% and was higher than other countries and ethnicities. Understanding the prevalence of PMSMs with a C-shaped root and/or canal in a Korean population may be useful for successful endodontic treatments.

Purpose: To determine the anatomical characteristic of C-shaped canal systems in Korean mandibular 2nd molars by cone beam computed tomography (CBCT). Materials and Methods: The 824 CBCT images were evaluated. These patients were taken CBCT for the diagnosis and treatment of dental implantation on 2013. The 711 mandibular 2nd molars were examined. The configuration of root canal systems were classified according to modified Melton's classifications. Results: Of the 711 mandibular 2nd molars, 21.5% had C-shaped canal systems. This prevalence did not differ with tooth position. Most of the C-shaped canals with bilateral molars were symmetrical. Of the C-shaped canal, the most common configuration Type were Melton's Type I (89%) in the orifice level and Melton's III (83.8%) in the apical level. The prevalence of C-shaped canal was higher in female (25%) than male (13.9%) (P < 0.05). Conclusion: A high prevalence of C-shaped canals were observed in Korean mandibular 2nd molars. For successful C-shaped root canal treatment, the comprehension of root canal systems was important.
