  • 본 논문에서는 Finitely Backed Conductor(FBC) CPW(Coplanar Waveguides) 구조를 이용한 대역 통과 필터를 제안한다. 특히, 마이크로 스트립 전송 선로와 비교하여 CPW구조의 단점인 적은 결합량 문제를 해결하기 위한 방법으로 구조적 변화를 통한 특성 향상을 소개한다. 본 논문에서는 FBC 구조를 이용하여 협대역 대역 통과 필터를 제안하였으며, 측정 결과를 통해 삽입 손실의 향상 효과를 확인할 수 있다. Finitely backed conductor(FBC)를 이용한 CPW 대역 통과 필터를 설계하기 위해 FEM 방식을 이용한 HP사의 HFSS 소프트웨어를 사용하였다.

고온초전도 전력케이블용 1000A급 multistrand conductor의 제조 및 특성분석 (Fabrication and the transportation properties of 1000A class multistrand conductor for HTS power cable)

  • For the fabrication of HTS power cable, multifilamentary Bi-2223/Ag tapes have been prepared using the powder-in-tube (PIT) process. After final heat treatment, these tapes have $I_{c}$ value of 43A, and$ J_{c}$ value of $28,000A/\textrm{cm}^2$(77K, 0T). Prototype 1000A class multistrand conductor(length~1m) was fabricated using these tapes(length~300m). This multistrand conductor was impregnated with low-temperature epoxy. The transportation properties of prototype 1000A class multistrand conductor has been evaluated at 77K, and yielding a current capacity up to 1200A.A.A.

  • For large scale power applications of HTS conductor, it is getting more important to have a stacked HTS coated conductor with low loss and large current capacity. But it was not easy to measure some electric properties. Stabilizer free YBCO CC for striated/ stacked conductors is easily burned out during the measurement of the critical current density because it has no stabilizer and it is difficult to set-up the current lead and voltage taps because it has many pieces of YBCO CC in a conductor. Instead of direct measuring the critical current of a stacked HTS coated conductor, indirect estimation from measuring a magnetization loss of HTS coated conductor could be useful for practical estimation of the critical current. The magnetization loss of a superconductor is supposed to be affected by a full penetrating magnetic field, and it tends to show an inflection point at the full penetrating magnetic field when we generate the graph of magnetization loss vs. external magnetic field. The full penetrating magnetic field depends on the shape of the conductor and its critical current density, so we can estimate the effective critical current density from measuring the magnetization loss. In this paper, to prove the effectiveness of this indirect estimation of the critical current, we prepared several different kinds of YBCO CC(coated conductor) including a stacked conductor short samples and measured the magnetization losses and the critical currents of each sample by using linked pick up coils and direct voltage measurement with transport current respectively.

  • YBCO Coated Conductor is named by Second generation Superconductor Tapes. It is different with First generation Superconductor Tapes. YBCO Coated Tape's Specific difference with BSCCO Tape is more strong mechanical Durability. This is important role to apply to Superconducting Machines. For mechanical transforming of YBCO Coated Tapes, We are using the well designed former. The Merit of Transformation is several. First, We vary the Superconducting Characteristics according to mechanical stress. Second, We reduce the Volume of Superconductor, So We achieve reducing the volume of Superconducting Machines. On this Study, We experiment the transporting Current Characteristics of two types YBCO Coated Conductor. The one is Stainless Stabilized YBCO Conductor, and the other one is Copper Stabilized YBCO Conductor.

  • YBCO coated conductor is named by second generation superconductor tapes. It is different with first generation superconductor tapes.   • The thermal rating of a conductor are maximum continuous current capacity and short time emergency current capacity. The overload operation for a faults have an effect on a conductor lifetime. Its time duration and overload level are limited to facility conditions of transmission lines. The short time emergency current capacity in KOREA observe the KEPCO's DESIGN RULE 1210, but its rules are not included to concept of an allowable short time duration. This papers are described to the calculation concept of short time emergency current capacity considering a time duration and an overload level. And we suggested a operation grouping and its maximum conductor temperature considering facility conditions - conductor lifetime, stability of connection points, conductor height above ground and clearance, in the operating and new T/L.

  • We developed friction welded bimetallic sleeve for 220kV aluminum conductor XLPE cable. Not only friction welded bimetallic sleeve for Termination(EB-A, EB-G) but also friction welded sleeve for Joint of Al to Cu conductor was developed regardless of this project. Generally, friction welded sleeve used to connect Al conductor cable to Cu conductor cable and used for improvement of mechanical property of terminal by offer the copper side of friction welded bimetallic sleeve at the Termination. Connection method for Al-Cu conductor has mainly used friction welding at the solid state, because it is difficult to connect by using conventional welding method. this investigation introduces development of friction welded bimetallic sleeve by friction welding and test result of 220kV Al conductor XLPE cable and accessories using friction welded sleeve.

배전피뢰기용 접지도선의 효과적인 설치기법 (Effective Installations Technique of Grounding Conductors for Metal Oxide Surge Arrestors)

  • This paper deals with the effects of grounding conductors for metal oxide surge arresters. When surge arresters are improperly installed, the results can cause costly damage of electrical equipments. In particular, the route of surge arrester connection is very important because bends and links of leads increase the impedances to lightning surges and tend to nullify the effectiveness of a grounding conductor. Therefore, there is a need to know how effective installation of lightning surge arresters is made in order to control voltage and to absorb energy at high lightning currents. The effectiveness of a grounding conductor and 18 [㎸] metal oxide distribution line arresters was experimentally investigated under the lightning and oscillatory impulse voltages. Thus, the results are as follows; (1) The induced voltage of a grounding conductor is drastically not affected by length of a connecting line, but it is very sensitive to types of grounding conductor. (2) The coaxial cable having a low characteristic impedance is suitable as a grounding conductor. (3) It is also clear from these results that bonding the metal raceway enclosing the grounding conductor to the grounding electrode is very effective because of skin effect. (4) The induced voltages of grounding conductors for the oscillatory impulse voltages are approximately twice as large as those for the lightning impulse voltages.

전류분포가 3본-도체의 임계전류/교류손실 특성에 미치는 영향 (Influence of Current Distributions on Critical Current and AC Loss Characteristics in a 3-conductor)

  • AC loss is an important issue in the design of high-T$\sub$c/ superconducting power cables which consist of a number of Bi-2223 tapes wound on a former. In the cables, the tapes have different critical currents intrinsically. And they are electrically connected to each other and current leads. These make loss measurements considerably complex, especially for short samples of laboratory size. So special cautions are required in the positioning of voltage leads for measuring the true loss voltage. In this work we have prepared a conductor composed of three Bi-2223 tapes with different critical currents. The critical current and AC loss characteristics in the conductor have experimentally investigated. The results show that for uniform current distributions the conductor's critical current is proportional to the critical current of the Bi-2223 tape to which a voltage lead is attached. However it depends on the current non-uniformity parameter in the conductor rather than the tape's critical currents for nonuniform current distributions. The loss tests indicate that the AC loss is dependent on arrangements of voltage leads but not on their contact positions. The measured losses in the conductor also agree well with the sum of the transport losses measured in each Bi-2223 tape.

  • 고온초전도 선재 중에서 YBCO 박막을 금속테이프에 증착하여 제조되는 coated conductor는 높은 자기장에서도 임계전류밀도의 감소가 크지 않아 고자장용 초전도 자석을 제조하는데 많이 활용될 것으로 기대되고 있다. coated conductor를 고자장용 초전도 자석제작에 활용하기 위해서는 긴 길이의 도체를 제조하는 것과 함께, 도체의 접합기술이 필요하다. 이는 초전도 자석을 영구전류모드로 운전하기 위해서는 도체의 접촉저항이 충분히 적어야 하기 때문이다. 그러나 박막형 coated conductor는 아직 긴 길이의 선재제조기술이 확립되어 있지 않고, 또 박막형 coated conductor의 형태와 사용되는 제조기술이 본질적으로 초전도 접합을 형성시키기에 매우 어려워서 아직 까지 초전도 접합에 대한 연구결과가 발표되지 않고 있으며, 접합 특성을 측정하는 기술도 개발되지 않았다. 본 연구에서는 coated conductor의 접합특성을 측정하기 위한 기본적인 시험방법을 제안하고, 전도성 금속접합재를 이용한 접합시료를 제작하여 그 특성을 평가한 결과를 발표한다.
