한전 765 KV 송전선로 전선선정 검토의 기본 방향 (The conception of conductor selection for KEPCO 765 kV T/L.)

  • Lately in KEPCO, the power plant capacity has increasingly become larger than before and it has become difficult to get R.O.W for T/L. Therefore KEPCO decided to increase its system voltage level from 345kV to 765kV. By doing this, KEPCO would like to expand its transmission capability by less T/L route. In 765kV system, we should consider various kinds of environmental impacts that can be neglected in lower voltage level. These environmental impacts are very important factor in T/L design. That can be changed greatly according to the selected conductor. And also conductor selection has relation with the economy of T/L construction directly. This paper deals with some general factors to be considered and basic principles about the conductor and ground wire selection for 765KV T/L with referring to the experiences of foreign utilities.

  • This paper deals with the conductor bar design to improve starting stability of line start synchronous reluctance motor(LSSynRM). As design variables, the number and the shape of conductor bars of rotor are chosen. The starting characteristics are calculated by finite element method(FEM) and the conductor bars are designed to improve the starting torque according to the initial starting rotor position. Finally, the starting characteristic of the designed model are compared with that of the initial model.

  • A research was undertaken on the thermal properties and behavior of the conductors in a controlled chamber, which was designed to implement the outdoor air temperature, heat and wind conditions. With ACSR $410mm^2$ overhead conductors, we measured the maximum temperature of the conductors and the temperature gradient from the core to the surface regions as a function of current, tension, wind velocity and outdoor air temperature. This test also provided a comparative analysis between the measured temperature values of conductors in the controlled chamber and the theoretical calculations of ANSI/IEEE at normal condition.

  • Quench characteristics of HTS cable conductor due to external magnetic field were investigated. Firstly, the influence of critical characteristics of HTS tape on locally applied magnetic field was examined. Secondly, critical current of HTS tapes, which are wound on surface of former, were measured respectively, before the experiment for quench characteristics, Finally, 50mT and 100mT were applied to HTS cable conductor and quench characteristics were investigated through V-I curves. As the results, same as the result of HTS tape, HTS cable conductor showed strong dependence on external magnetic field with direction and magnitude.

  • 천정에 부착한 구상 리플렉터와 송수신 공용 양선 원편파 안테나를 조합하여 옥내무선통신망을 실현하려 한 다. 먼저, 시스댐 실현에 앞서, 본 논문에서는 도체구의 산란패턴을 벡터 구파동함수를 이용한 계산 및 실측한 결과 후방산란영역(이하 명영역이라 칭함)에서 안정한 전방향 산란레벨 유지를 확인하였으며 13 dB 이상의 펀파분리도도 확보되었다. 따라서 완전도체구의 명영역 전방향 산란특성을 기반으로 구상 리플랙터가 제안 힌 옥내무선통신시스템에 유효함음 확인했다.

  • Normal zone propagation(NZP) characteristics were investigated on Ag sheathed Bi-2223 tape and cylindrical stacked conductor. Normal zone propagation(N2P) experiments with tape were conducted with refrigerator in temperature from 45 K to 77 K, 0 T. Cylindrical stacked conductor was molding with epoxy and experiments were conducted with adiabatic condition in $LN_2$. NZP velocities of tape with two condition of DC and AC were almost same at each temperature. NZP velocities of cylindrical stacked conductor were 1.9-2.4 cdsec in $LN_2$. Numerical analysis was carried out by a one-dimensional heat balance equation. As a result, simulated results of NZP velocity with Bi-2223 tape were similar to experimental results in DC.

  • In this study, in order to increase electric field intensify near a lightning rod a floating conductor is adopted. If a floating conductor is located near the lightning rod, the positive and negative charges are equally induced on the lightning rod and the floating conductor, and the local electric field intensity near them increases. This increase of electric field intensity can ignite easily the ionization process of the surrounding air and the corona phenomenon begins there. It occurs before the usual lightning process begins on the top of the conventional rod. The charges of the ground or some buildings are omitted during the corona process through the floating conductor. Therefore, the probability of the main lightning on the conventional rod can be reduced.

산불에 의해 가열된 가공송전선의 이도거동 (The SAG Behavior of Overhead Conductor due to Forest Fire)

  • Because forest fire can give a serious damage to overhead conductors, the thorough understanding about sag behavior of burned conductor is very important in maintaining the transmission line safely. Therefore, a systematic investigation was carried out by heating method. As the heating temperature increases, drastic change of tensile strength of Al wire due to the softening of Al wire occurred. When Al wire is exposed to the flame(about $800^{\circ}C$) during only 13 seconds, the remained tensile strength of Al wire showed under 90%. and then sag of overhead conductor become deteriorated. The detailed results will be given in the text.

  • One of the major problems faced by the overhead conductor engineer is in the estimation of the loss in strength of conductors caused by long and short term exposures over a period years to elevated temperature. From the standpoint that the life of conductor is influnced by softening of Al wire, the life assessment of conductor was carried out. The aluminum components will be affected most in majority of conductors. The steel core if present will not be affected by temperatures below $225^{\circ}C$. The detailed description will be presented in the text.

  • In this paper, dynamic characteristics analysis of linear induction motor with joints in the secondary conductor is discussed. The time stepped finite element method and moving mesh technique are used for simulation. ${\nabla}{\phi}$ of jointed secondary conductor is defined for simulation, respectively. Simulation results have shown that joints in the secondary conductor affect thrust ripple and attractive force ripple.
