100MPa급 초고강도 원심성형 콘크리트의 내구성 평가를 위한 실험연구 (Experimental Study to Evaluate the Durability of 100 MPa Class Ultra-high Strength Centrifugal Molding Concrete)

  • 본 연구에서는 원심성형 기법을 이용하여 구조용 콘크리트 각형보를 개발하였으며, 단면의 휨강성을 확보하기 위하여 단면의 중공률은 10 %이하로 하며 이를 위하여 기존의 빈배합상태의 콘크리트가 아닌 고슬럼프(150~200)의 물성을 갖으며 설계강도가 100 MPa이상인 콘크리트 배합비를 개발하여 적용하였다. 피암터널이나 라멘소교량의 상부구조로 활용될 원심성형 PSC 각형보의 내구성을 조사하기 위하여 압축⧵강도 100 MPa급 초고강도 원심성형 콘크리트의 열화 및 내화학적 특성에 대한 내구성능을 평가하였다. 2022년과 2023년에 제작한 원심 성형 각형보 시험체에 대하여 염화물침투 저항성, 촉진탄산화 , 황산염침식 저항성, 동결융해 저항성, 스케일링 저항성 등 콘크리트의 내구성 시험을 수행하였다. 본 연구에서 검증한 내용을 고려해 볼 때 추후 제작단계에서 수밀성이 높아지는 원심성형 콘크리트의 내구성은 일반적인 콘크리트에 비해 우수한 것으로 조사되었다.

Near surface characteristics of concrete: prediction of freeze/thaw resistance

  • The durability of concrete is related to the permeation characteristics of its near surface. An attempt was made to use the permeation characteristics namely, absorptivity, permeability and diffusivity, to predict the freeze/thaw resistance of concrete. Test results indicate that in general, there was a trend that freeze/thaw resistance of concrete was enhanced with improved absorptivity and diffusivity whilst the freeze/thaw resistance of normal concrete was found to have the best relationship with its intrinsic permeability. The latter method is therefore proposed to be adopted to predict freeze/thaw resistance of normal concrete. Since Figg air test is an inexpensive and simple test method that measures indirectly the intrinsic permeability of concrete, it is further proposed that it could be used as a quality control tool to assess, non-destructively, the freeze/thaw durability potential of in-situ concrete.

  • Scaling deterioration and resistance to freezing of port concrete structures due to the combined effects of chemical actions by containning chlorides and the freeze-thaw action is also a problem which has not yet been fundamentally solved. Furthermore, deterioration of concrete surface was considered as accelerate factor of concrete durability tended to decrease. Therefore, we considered the scaling measuring method and decreasing influence of durability of concrete according to kind of binders, such as OPC, Slag, Slag+Fa, due to freeze and thaw of concrete by containing chlorides. As a results of this study, it was effective method of scaling deterioration and resistance freewing of concrete, and confirmed the salt deterioration resistance effect to use slag binder against to containing chlorides.

Automatic categorization of chloride migration into concrete modified with CFBC ash

  • The objective of this investigation was to develop rules for automatic categorization of concrete quality using selected artificial intelligence methods based on machine learning. The range of tested materials included concrete containing a new waste material - solid residue from coal combustion in fluidized bed boilers (CFBC fly ash) used as additive. The rapid chloride permeability test - Nordtest Method BUILD 492 method was used for determining chloride ions penetration in concrete. Performed experimental tests on obtained chloride migration provided data for learning and testing of rules discovered by machine learning techniques. It has been found that machine learning is a tool which can be applied to determine concrete durability. The rules generated by computer programs AQ21 and WEKA using J48 algorithm provided means for adequate categorization of plain concrete and concrete modified with CFBC fly ash as materials of good and acceptable resistance to chloride penetration.

  • This study is intended to discuss the application of blast slag for concrete to improve the durability of precast concrete box culvert. The precast concrete box culverts with blast slag are tested to verify the effect of early strength. The results show that the initial cracking load and yielding load of the blast slag concrete members are increased when they are compared with those of the normal concrete. In the prototype precast concrete box culvert experiment, initial crack control effect and ductility index are increased. It can be concluded that the use of blast slag was improved the durability in precast concrete box culvert.

  • Concrete surface is a part that resists chiefly to carbonation by carbonic acid gas, affluence of rainwater and air, deterioration by freezing thawing, salt damage by seawater, and other chemical erosion etc. Therefore, this research analyzed physical characteristic and durable characteristic of concrete eliminated glut water and bubble of concrete surface using CON-SILK that is permeated with dehydration. As a research result, concrete using CON-SILK was improved, in comparison with concrete using general formwork, in physical performance and durability of concrete, as surface hardness, carbonation resistivity, and salt content permeation resistivity etc. Therefore, we could know that it is effective to use CON-SILK in performance elevation of concrete surface.

  • In general, the deterioration induced by the freezing and thawing cyclic in concrete structures often leads to the reduction in concrete durability by the cracking or surface spalling. If it can prediction of concrete deterioration subjected to cyclic freezing and thawing, we can rationally do the design of mix proportion in view of concrete durability and the maintenance management of concrete structures. Therefore in this study a prediction method of deterioration for concrete structures subjected to the irregular freezing and thawing is proposed from the results of accelerated laboratory freezing and thawing test using the constant temperature condition and the in-situ weathering data. Furthermore, to accurately predict the concrete deterioration, a method of modification for the effect of hydration increasing during rapid freezing and thawing test is investigated.

  • Concrete with ground granulated blast-furnace slag can be affected by frost attack because the reaction of hydration is slow at the early age. In this study, therefore, the freezing and thawing test has been carried out to investigate the freezing and thawing resistance on concrete with ground granulated blast-furnace slag. The freezing and thawing test has been performed on concrete a blended cement, which was substituted by ground granulated blast-furnace slag with 4 kinds of ratio (non-admixture, 20%, 40% and 60%). And also tested on concrete added the AE agents to the concrete of same mix proportion to search the improvement effects about the resistance. As a result, the freezing and thawing resistance showed a tendency of reduction in proportion to the increase of the substitution ratio. For non-AE concrete, resistances of the freezing and thawing were very poor as the durability index indicated less than 5.8%. For AE concrte, resistance of the freezing and thawing were excellent as the durability index indicated more than 80.9%.

  • This study is interested in manufacturing the concrete surface impregnants including tetra ethyl ortho silicate, alkali silicate for the repair of the exposed concrete and the color concrete requiring the advanced function in view of the concrete appearance. The surface layer change and porosity properties was tested for the review of application. The result of this study show that the effective silicate are tetra ethyl ortho silicate and alkali silicate t. The adhesion in tension is slightly increased but the reinforcement of concrete substrate is slight. So, the concrete impregnant of this study is more desirable for the improvement of durability rather than the reinforcement.

콘크리트 코어 분석을 통한 복합열화 평가와 잔존수명 예측 연구 (A Study on Evaluation of Complex Deterioration evaluation and Prediction of Residual Life through Concrete Core)

  • 노후화된 구조물의 경우 준공 후 시간이 지나 구조물의 정보가 유실되는 경우가 많으며, 시공관련 자료에 대한 정보 부족으로 인해 구조물의 잔존수명을 예측하는데 큰 어려움이 있다. 본 연구에서는 현장에서 채취한 코어 시험체를 기반으로 각종 현장 및 실내시험법을 통한 내구성을 평가하고 이를 토대로 FEM 해석기법을 활용하여 콘크리트 구조물의 내구수명을 예측하였다. 그 결과, 중성화 속도계수는 $5.38E-6(cm^2/day)$로 매우 진행 속도가 낮은 것으로 나타났으며, 탄산화 및 염해에 의한 복합열화의 발생 가능성은 매우 낮은 것으로 확인되었다
