삼각망 철근상세를 갖는 새로운 중공 철근콘크리트 교각단면: I. 개발 및 검증 (New Hollow RC Bridge Pier Sections with Triangular Reinforcement Details: I. Development and Verification)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the performance of new hollow reinforced concrete (RC) bridge pier sections with triangular reinforcement details. The proposed triangular reinforcement details are economically feasible and rational and facilitate shorter construction periods. A model of pier sections with triangular reinforcement details was tested under quasi-static monotonic loading. As a result, proposed triangular reinforcement details was equal to existing reinforcement details in terms of required performance. In the companion paper, the parametric study for the performance assessment of new hollow RC bridge pier sections with triangular reinforcement details is performed.

설계강도 40MPa 고강도 콘크리트를 적용한 교량 교각 구조물의 구조해석 (Structrral Analysis of Bridge Pier with 40MPa High Strength Concrete)

  • 본 연구는 휨-압축을 받는 교각 기둥 부재의 구조 요소별 철근과 콘트리트 강도 및 하중조건에 따른 구조거동 특성을 분석하고, 교각 기둥에 대한 매개변수 해석(Parameter Study)을 실시하여 콘크리트 강도별 및 높이별 기둥의 최적단면 및 공사비를 검토하였다. 검토결과, 기존의 27MPa 콘크리트 대신 40MPa 고강도 콘크리트를 적용할 경우, 기둥 단면이 축소되고 공사비도 평균 8%정도 감소되어 교각의 미관 및 경제성 측면에서 개선효과가 있음을 알 수 있었다. 또한 음성${\sim}$충주간 고속도로 건설공사내의 신효교 교각에 대하여 본 연구결과를 적용하여 실용적 효과성을 검증하였다.

  • When the design modification is occurred, at present, design process based on 2-D spend more time and effort than that based on 3-D to modify related structural details. To improve and develop these processes, therefore, the design possibility of civil structures based on virtual model of 3-D must be investigated. We designed reinforced concrete pier of 3-D model, containing parameters. The parameters was defined as structural details like area of the section, reinforcement specification for design modification and structural analysis. In this paper, we researched about the processes modeling of reinforced concrete bridge pier based on parameters, the extracting data from the virtual model of 3-D, and the reflection of data to virtual model throughout structural analysis.

FCM 공법으로 시공되는 콘크리트 교량의 교각 모멘트 제어 (Moment Control of Pier in Concrete Bridges Constructed by Free Cantilever Method)

  • FCM 교량 상부구조의 거동은 콘크리트의 크리프와 건조수축 등에 의해 시간 의존적 거동을 나타내며, 이에 의해 하부구조 즉, 교각에는 시간에 따른 추가의 과도한 모멘트가 발생할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 FCM 공법으로 시공되는 콘크리트 교량의 크리프와 건조수축에 의한 교각의 모멘트를 감소시킬 수 있는 기법을 제안하였다. 제안 기법은 교량의 체계적인 시간의존적 거동 해석과 교량 시공중의 제어하중 재하로 이루어진다. 제어하중의 크기 및 교각 유연도에 따른 교각의 거동 분석을 수행하였다. 교각 유연도에 따른 수치해석 결과는 교각의 유연도가 작을수록 시간에 따른 교각 모멘트 값은 증가하여 설계시 불리한 측면을 나타내고 있다. 제어하중을 도입하지 않은 경우에 비해 제어하중을 도입한 경우의 모멘트는 감소하고 있다. 또한, 실제 교량에 대한 수치해석 분석을 통하여 제안기법의 효용성을 제시하였다. 따라서, FCM 공법으로 시공되는 교량에서, 유연도가 작은 교각의 시간에 따른 모멘트 변화를 효율적으로 제어할 수 있다고 판단된다.

  • 최근 신설된 교량의 경우에는 개정판 도로교 설계기준에 의해 내진설계를 수행하여 시공되고 있으나, 내진설계규정이 적용되기 이전에 시공되어 사용중인 철근콘크리트 교각의 경우에는 지진에 취약할 수 있다. 반복 횡하중을 이용한 실내시험을 통해 교각 시험체를 니켈-크롬 합금강바 보강 전후 및 보강형태에 따른 부재의 거동변화를 측정분석 하였다.

  • This paper presents a framework for developing aftershock fragility curves for reinforced concrete bridges initially damaged by mainshocks. The presented aftershock fragility is a damage-dependent fragility function, which is conditioned on an initial damage state resulting from mainshocks. The presented framework can capture the cumulative damage of as-built bridges due to mainshock-aftershock sequences as well as the reduced vulnerability of bridges repaired with CFRP pier jackets. To achieve this goal, the numerical model of column jackets is firstly presented and then validated using existing experimental data available in literature. A four-span concrete box-girder bridge is selected as a case study to examine the application of the presented framework. The aftershock fragility curves are derived using response data from back-to-back nonlinear dynamic analyses under mainshock-aftershock sequences. The aftershock fragility curves for as-built bridge columns are firstly compared with different levels of initial damage state, and then the post-repair effect of FRP pier jacket is examined through the comparison of aftershock fragility curves for as-built and repaired piers.

  • Short reinforced concrete bridge piers are particularly susceptible to shear failure as a consequence of the high shear/moment ratio and conservatism in the flexural strength design of existing RC bridge pier, which were constructed before 1992. In addition, shear failure is brittle and involves rapid strength degradation. Inelastic shear deformation is thus unsuitable for ductile seismic response. It is, however, believed that there are not many experimental research works for shear failure of the existing RC bridge pier in Korean peninsula subjected to earthquake motions. The object of this research is to evaluate the seismic performance of existing circular RC bridge piers by the quasi-static test. Existing RC bridge piers were moderate seismically designed in accordance with the conventional provisions of Korea Highway Design Specification. This study has been performed to verify the effect of aspect ratio (column height-diameter ratio). Quasi-static test has been done to investigate the physical seismic performance of RC bridge piers, such as lateral force-displacement hysteric curve, envelope curve etc.

  • The aim of this paper is to open up a relatively new type in bridge engineering by introducing plan and design of extradosed bridge which is implemented in Sungnam-Janghowon T/K project. The topic encompasses parametric study including the behavior of the bridge relevant to the cable layout, the distance from pier table to the first cable's location, the height of pylon, the stiffness of cross section and wind vibration to ascertain sectional type of bridge and span length. For the purpose of the knowledge base presented here, the important feature of design is recommended such as modeling method, camber control, finite element analysis and heat hydration of pier table. We can verify the issue related to the characteristics of extradosed bridge as a result of study and design endeavor.

  • The Seoul expressway is designed with prestressed concrete box girders. As a construction method, Precast Free Cantilever Method (P.F.C.M) is used which is introduced to Korea first time. Especially, the end spans in each bridge are designed to be constructed by cantilever method using temporary cantilever tendons. And pier and pierhead are prestressed vertically and horizontally.

  • This study is to applicate IPC girder at curved bridge. This study introduces the variable(radius, $d_{ci}$, $d_{co}$, etc..) used in design IPC curved bridge. And this presents the possible radius in simple bridge and continuous bridge. For example, simple bridge that have span length is 30m, minimum possible radius is 300m. In continuous bridge, girders are arranged by sloped in $\theta$. So in this case, the bridge is under consideration that horizontality pressure in bridge pier.
