  • 반도체 디자인, 공정 기술 및 패기지 기술의 발달에 따라 전력용 반도체는 소형화, 고성능화, 지능화하고 있다. 고속 구동이 용이한 때문에 MOSFET이나 IGBT등의 MOS-gate형 전력 반도체의 발전이 두드려지며, trench, charge balance, NPT 기술등이 패키지 기술과 더불어 이를 위한 주요 기술이 될것으로 보인다. SiC나 GaN등의 Wide Band Gap 물질들을 사용한 차세대 전력 반도체 연구도 활발히 진행되고 있다.

  • Recently, the concepts of community adaptation and ability to restore have been emphasized in order to evaluate disaster vulnerability and risk exposure level. In particular, the concept of disaster management that voluntarily takes measures prior to disaster situations has been introduced based on participatory disaster management that the community should take responsibility for one's own safety. This study diagnosed the community response capability on four model areas such as Goseong-gun and Gimhae-si, Gyeongsangnam-do and Gimcheon-si and Bonghwa-gun, Gyeongsangbuk-do and represented the Community Preparedness Indicator(CPI) for each region as a result.

A Bandwidth Adaptive Path Selection Scheme in IEEE 802.16 Relay Networks

  • The IEEE 802.16 mobile multi-hop relay (MMR) task group 'j' (TGj) has introduced the multi-hop relaying concept in the IEEE 802.16 Wireless MAN, wherein a relay station (RS) is employed to improve network coverage and capacity. Several RSs can be deployed between a base station and mobile stations, and configured to form a tree-like multi-hop topology. In such architecture, we consider the problem of a path selection through which the mobile station in and outside the coverage can communicate with the base station. In this paper, we propose a new path selection algorithm that ensures more efficient distribution of resources such as bandwidth among the relaying nodes for improving the overall performance of the network. Performance of our proposed scheme is compared with the path selection algorithms based on loss rate and the shortest path algorithm. Based on the simulation results using ns-2, we show our proposal significantly improves the performance on throughput, latency and bandwidth consumption.

  • In this paper, we present a overview of content-based image retrieval (CBIR) systems: its results and its problems. We propose our CBIR system currently based on color and texture. From the CBIR systems. we discuss the way to add semantic values in image retrieval systems. There are 3 ways for adding them: concept definition, machine learning and man-machine interaction. Along with this we introduce our preliminary results and discuss them in the goal of reaching semantic retrieval. Different result representation schemes are presented. At last, we present our work to build a complete annotated image database and our image annotaion program.

  • In recent years, chip delay estimation has had an increasingly important impact on overall design technology. The analysis of the timing behavior of an ASIC should be based not only on the delay characteristics of gates and interconnect circuits but also on the interactions between them. This model plays an important role in our CAD system to analyze the ASIC timing characteristics accurately, together with two-dimensional gate delay table model, AWE algorithm and effective capacitance concept. In this paper, we present an efficient algorithm which accounts for series resistance by computing a reduced-order approximation for the driving-point admittance of an RC-tree and an effective capacitance equation that captures the complete waveform response accurately.

  • 기계테크놀로지의 발달로 수작업을 중심하는 공예산업이 사양화 되고잇다. 산업혁명에 대한 당시의 사회문제를 비판했던 러스킨과 모리스의 사상은 오늘날가지 영향을 미치고 있다. 본연구는 공예활동의 발전과 위상정립을 위하여 그들의 사상을 중심으로 공예 본질적 개념을 정리하고 공예 사회적 역할을 논하고자 하였다. 기게생산에 의한 반발로 소비자의 취향이 개성화를 요구하고 생산라인의 소량다품종화의 문제를 공예적 생산방법으로 해결할 수 있다는 것은 공예생산의 존제 필요성을 입증하며 더욱이 대주으이 정신적생활이 중시되는 현시점에서 공예의 사회적 역할로써 기계적생활에 대한 감성적생활의 교육적 역할이 중요함을 논했다.

  • This paper deals with control system design strategy for electrolmaginetic suspension (E.M.S.) system. For a successful control of E.M.S. system, the nature of E.M.S. system is deeply studied in the view point of non-linear, open-loop unstable, time-varying, non-minimum phase system. To find a special control treatment for E.M.S. system, analyses and simulations for various models are carried out. As one of the successful candidates, adaptive control concept is introduced and sample hardware system using digital signal processor is implemented.

  • The Rolling Stock pursues more safe, speedy and accurate operation on the increment of the passenger and the short headway. Signalling system is providing an assurance on safety and reliability of the system, which is based on fail-safe concept. Therefore we are willing to study up on MMI device for new onboard ATP/ATO equipment which is used for driver to recognize train status and fault more quickly and to solve any problem more rapidly, which can maximize the stability and reliability of the system.

  • In the motor manufacturing system with the properties of short delivery and order based production, the process plan is performed individually for each order by the expert of process plan after the completion of the detail design process to satisfy the specification to be required by customer. Also it is hard to establish the standard process plan in reality because part routings and operation times are varied for each order. Hence, the production planner has the problem that is hard to establish the production schedule releasing the job to the factory because there occurs the big difference between the real time to be completed the process plan and the time to be required by the production planner. In this paper, we study the decision supporting system for the process plan based on knowledge base concept. First, we represent the knowledge of process planner as a database model through the modified POI-Feature graph. Then we design and implement the decision supporting system imbedded in the heuristic algorithm in the client/server environment using the ORACLE relational database management system.
