Traditional costumes have evolved while reflecting the social, cultural and psychological values of the era. Costumes gain meaning by being worn that also allows their various symbolic meanings to be derived. Costumes worn in festivals by specific societies and organizations have especially apparent symbolism pertaining to their purpose. Most countries have traditional festivals that embody the country's distinct culture, history and traditions. These festivals are acts of consciousness expressing a special meaning of the community. Costumes represent a glimpse of life and culture during a festival period; in addition, the costume's style, color elements and decorations are expressions of community values and a distinct symbolic mechanism. Totemism (a significant element of these festivals) has been passed down for many generations. The current costumes for Totemism are distinct (compared to normal festival costumes) and embody a more symbolic meaning. This study deduces the exaggerated style, the concealment and disguise of the human body, and the pursuit of pleasure expressed in the Totemism costumes of regional European festivals. The symbolization theories of C. G. Jung and an analysis of Totemism costumes allow an understanding of their existential significance, their role as the medium between consciousness and unconsciousness, their meaning of symbolic transcendental unity, and their meaning of giving consciousness to the mind.

H.264/AVC 동영상 부호화 표준은 이전의 여러 동영상 부호화 표준에는 없던 새로운 부호화 도구들이 추가되었으며 이를 통하여 보다 높은 압축 효율을 보인다. 추가된 부호화 도구들로 인하여 H.264내의 매크로블록은 이전의 부호화 표준에서 보다 많은 정보를 포함한다. 하나의 매크로블록에 대해서 최대 16개까지의 서로 다른 움직임벡터를 가질 수 있으며 최대 4개의 서로 다른 참조프레임을 가질 수 있다. 또한 다양한 블록크기로의 움직임 추정하며 이는 매크로블록의 모드로서 정의된다. 따라서 H.264내의 매크로블록은 기존보다 많은 움직임벡터를 가질 뿐만 아니라 기존에는 없던 참조 프레임과 매크로블록모드의 정보를 새로이 포함하고 있다. 반면 현재의 H.264내의 시방향 에러은닉기법은 이전 부호화 표준에서 사용하던 방법과 유사한 방법으로 에러가 발생한 블록의 주변 매크로블록의 움직임 벡터만을 고려하여 에러를 은닉한다. 본 논문은 H.264 부호화 표준의 특성을 고려하여 매크로블록이 포함하고 있는 다양한 의기의 움직임벡터 및 참조 프레임 뿐 아니라 주변 매크로블록들의 모드를 이용하여 서로 다른 블록 크기로 에러를 은닉함으로써 매크로블록이 포함하고 있는 정보를 최대한 활용하고 이를 통한 효율적인 에러은닉 알고리듬을 제안한다. 제안하는 알고리듬은 기존의 H.264에서의 시방향 에러은닉 기법과 비교하여 적은 연산량만을 가지면서도 최대 2.17dB까지의 향상된 화질을 나타낸다.

The purpose of this study is to analyze protection functionality of supermodern fashion which is shown by responding to supermodern environment, where non-spaces increases in the 21st modern city. The theoretical background is drawn for supermodern environment theory. For the study, he researcher used existing study and specialized book and analyzed photograph materials by selecting them in specialized fashion book, internet site and designer's collection. The works from 1995 S/S collection to 2008 S/S collection are analyzed. The result of this study is as follow. First, supermodern design is adopting the shape of high-functional element, electronic device, protective device to protect wearer in non-space. Second, in order to mentally protect individual anonymous leadership of interaction is granted by adopting hood, veil or mask. Third, supermodern design is creating independent and user-based space by shape transformation in change of urban environment. Fourth, in order to protect wearer through camouflage or concealment, camouflage pattern or neutral color are used.

Contemporary costume by the 'Deconstruction' from the outside has shown disclosure, destruction, poverty and analysis. The conclusion of this thesis as follows, 1. The Deconstruction of disclosure by infra disclosed the underwear and inner structure outside, which has deconstructed a fixed idea i.e.'underwear must be in outwear', modesty versus immodesty and disclosure versus concealment. 2. The Deconstruction of destruction originated in punk look has rejected traditional manners and utility, at the same time, it has shown the ambivalence i.e. completeness versus incompleteness, making versus destructing by slashes, rips, fringes. 3. The Deconstruction of poverty has appeared as French avangarde mode, little black dress by Chanel, second hand style by hippy, blue jean, granny look, especially Rei Kawakubo's poor look influenced by Zen Aesthetics and post punk. It has looked like old and worn out dress by doing patchwork, dye, decolor, rip, fray, which has shown the decentring by concealing the body than disclosing, rejecting snobbery. 4. The Deconstruction of analysis, seemingly partial and patched is a violation only of our expectation of clothing's unbroken entity though it has looked like a fragment. The completeness and coherence of it is made more evident by its breach, void, and bond like a poetic language. As the result, disclosed, destructed, poor, and analytical costumes has expressed as an escape from the appearance which traditional aesthetic concept had pursued.

압축된 영상의 비트스트림에 오류가 발생할 경우 영상을 원할 때 심각한 왜곡이 발생하고, 이 때문에 멀티미디어 서비스에서 오류 보상 방법은 더욱 중요한 기술로 대두되고 있다. 기존의 연속된 블록을 복원하는 Hsia방법에서는 상하에 인접한 블록의 경계면에 따라 화소 값을 비교하고 정합벡터를 구하였다. 이와 같이 구해지 정합벡터는 주변 블록의 에지 분포에 대한 고려가 배제되기 때문에 정확한 블록의 복원을 이루어낼 수 없다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 주변 블록의 에지 분포를 고려한다. 오류 블록을 중심으로 상단과 하단의 에지 분포를 고려하여 에지 방향으로 보간한다. 이때 에지 검출을 위해 Sobel 연산자를 이용하고 그 임계값은(Just-Noticeable-Distortion)/MND(Minimally- Noticeable Distortion)로 한다. 에지의 뭉개짐 현상을 막기 위하여 상단 블록과 하단 블록에 에지가 존재 하지 않을 때와 존재할 때를 구분해서 보간한다. 연속된 블록에 발생한 오류를 제안하는 방법으로 보상 할 경우 PSNR이 최대 2dB이상 향상된다.

H.264 부호화 표준에서는 하나의 매크로블록이 최대 16개까지의 서로 다른 움직임 벡터를 가질 수 있으며 최대 4개의 서로 다른 참조프레임을 가질 수 있다. 또한 다양한 블록크기로의 움직임 추정을 하며 이는 매크로블록 모드로서 정의된다. 따라서 H.264내의 매크로블록은 기존의 동영상 부호화 표준보다 많은 움직임 벡터를 가질 뿐만 아니라 기존에는 없던 참조프레임과 매크로블록 모드의 정보를 새로이 포함하고 있다. 본 논문은 H.264 부호화 표준의 특성을 고려하여 매크로블록이 포함하고 있는 다양한 크기의 움직임 벡터 및 참조 프레임뿐 아니라 주변 매크로블록들의 모드를 이용하여 손실된 매크로블록에 대해 에러를 은닉함으로써 매크로블록이 포함하고 있는 정보를 최대한 활용하는 효율적인 에러은닉 알고리즘을 제안한다.

In this paper, we present a directional error concealment technique to compensate a lost block. Generally, the strong edge of an image has the large amounts of the variance because of its large coefficients in the wavelet domain. For estimating edge direction of a lost block, a $X^2$ hypothesis-testing problem is applied using the variance of wavelet coefficients. The lost block is interpolated according to the estimated edge direction. The pixels for interpolation is obtained from the edge direction. The proposed method outperforms the previous methods in objective and subjective qualities.

In this paper, we propose a reliable Image transmission system with Decision Feedback Equalization (DFE), and use diversity combining techniques over multipath fading channels. It is shown that the proposed system has the features of simplicity in implementation with DFE and diversity combining techniques without modifying DFE. This study includes error concealment techniques for reconstruction of missing blocks in JPEG. To verify and compare the performance of our proposed system, the computer simulations have been performed in three diversity combining cases.

Persona means the mask of personality where the internal ego exposes itself to the outside. The complicated structure and diversity of contemporary society has provided men with a more variegated and diversified persona; in addition, advancements in internet and information communications creates the possibility for the emergence of more variegated and new persona. This study probes the persona of virtual space expressed in fashion designs; subsequently, this study reviews the concept and various characteristics of persona and examines the type of persona in the virtual space from the perspective of the manifestation of identity. The type of persona in the virtual space canbe categorized into flexible identity and falsified identity; subsequently, the characteristics and meanings of virtual space persona in fashion designs are analyzed. Flexible identity-oriented personas expressed in fashion designs are revealed through the images of animals or dolls. This is a childlike persona expression that expresses ego through other substances in an effort to express infantile substances such as dreams and fantasy cherished in childhood. Falsified identity-oriented personas are expanded as a realm of expression of the body and the realities are camouflaged as transformed persona. Negating existence itself by covering the eyes or face as well as the concealment of the body with masks or veils is an expression of a self-denying persona.

Sequence homology analysis in the substances in the phenomenon of life is to create database by sorting and indexing and to demonstrate the usefulness of informatics. In this paper, Markov models are used in GenScan program to convert the pattern of complex eukaryotic protein sequences. It becomes impossible to navigate the minimum distance, complexity increases exponentially as the exact calculation. It is used scorecard in amino acid substitutions between similar amino acid substitutions to have a differential effect score, and is applied the Markov models sophisticated concealment of the transition probability model. As providing superior method to translate sequences homologous sequences in analysis using blast p, Markov models. is secreted protein structure of sequence translations.
