Evaluation Methodology of Solar Rights Using Autodesk VIZ for Apartment Buildings (Autodesk VIZ를 이용한 공동주택의 일조권평가방법에 관한 연구)

  • The apartment buildings now covers more than 50% of the total residential types in Korea and the urban residential area becomes increasingly congested with newly constructed high-rise apartment buildings. Judicial precedents require, for securing the solar rights in the residential area, that the consecutive sunshine duration should be at least two hours from 9:00 to 15:00 or the accumulative sunshine duration should be at least four hours from 8:00 to 16:00 as of the winter solstice. Disputes are increasing, however, on infringed solar rights and view rights for the neighboring structures as cases occur where the requirement cannot be satisfied in congested residential areas. The sunshine duration scan be assessed by measuring it on the site of the dispute, but it is impracticable to actually measure it for every case on the winter solstice, only one day out of the whole year. At a trial, therefore, 3D computer simulation is used to calculate the sunshine duration and determine the extent of infringement for submission of the evaluation to be used as the basis of the judgment. The simulation, however, may have an error in its result up to the program characteristics and the accuracy of the input data such as the structure shape and height, the distance between structures, and the ground level. This study, therefore, used a self-developed VIEW program with Autodesk VIZ 2006 to provide a simulation method for solar access evaluation, and verified its efficacy by comparing the results with the actual measurements.

An Empirical Investigation on the Adoption of E-Commerce in Bangladesh

  • Electronic Commerce or e-commerce implies such an industry where goods and services are bought and sold over electronic systems. This is rapidly growing sectors in Bangladesh which influence local and international trade. Government of Bangladesh has also initiated quite a good number of measures for the expansion of e-commerce. However, low adoption of e-commerce is not uncommon in Bangladesh. The objective of this study is to determine the factors that influence the adoption of e-commerce services in Bangladesh. Extended version of Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) is envisaged as the theoretical backbone of the study. Reliability analysis using Cronbach's Alpha test indicates that the research model is internally consistent. The study reveals that 35 percent of respondents became interested in e-commerce services from advertisement on Internet or other electronic media. The findings of the study shows that all the four constructs, namely-Computer Self Efficacy, Perceived Credibility, Perceived Usefulness and Perceived Ease of Use have significant effect on the adoption of e-commerce. The study has also demonstrated that Perceived Usefulness appeared as the most important factor in describing user's adoption of e-commerce.

Impact of Time Perspective on the Internet and Mobile Phone Addiction of Primary and Middle School Students (초등.중학생의 시간관이 인터넷과 휴대폰 중독에 미치는 영향)

  • In the existing researches about the Internet and mobile phone addition for primary and secondary school students, the major addiction testing measurements are personal parameters such as obsession, self-efficacy, and self-control and environmental parameters such as parents, friends, schools, community factors, and mass media. Those researches have focused on the interaction objects between a student and him/herself, parents, friends, schools, or society. While the importance of time perspective has increased recently, there have rarely been the research that had focused on it in education arena. In this paper, we analyze how time perspective influences the Internet and mobile phone addiction levels of primary and middle school students. In order to do that, we surveyed 619 primary and middle school students and analyzed the results in this paper. And then, we renew the relative importance among existing factors for the two addictions and propose the way to prevent the two addictions.

A Study on the Development of ICT Curriculum for Private Security Workers (민간경비 종사자의 ICT직무교육과정 개발에 관한 연구)

  • This study developed the ICT curriculum focusing on apartment security guards and analyzed the actual application results. We developed the educational contents and it designed ICT job courseware for elder education by considering and that designed in consideration of the computer attitudes and physical and cognitive characteristics of the elderly. The educational program was applied to the experimental group and the satisfaction and the educational effect were analyzed through the pre and post test results. As a result of the analysis, the satisfaction level of the education program was higher than the average of 4.00 points. The elderly informal education program was examined by using the qualitative assessment test tool before and after the application of the education program. Internet self-efficacy of experiment group, improvement of internet utilization ability, usage of internet use, personal information willingness, life correction, elimination of conflict among generations, self-confidence, and internet stress increased statistically significantly. These results suggest that the "Private Expense ICT Job Training" program developed in this study can be effective for elderly informatization and can be applied to other elderly education programs and contribute to promotion.

Analysis of learner's attitude and satisfaction through development and application of metaverse environment STEAM educational program (메타버스 환경의 융합(STEAM) 교육 프로그램 개발과 적용을 통한 학습자 태도 및 만족도 분석)

  • Recently, with interest in metaverse, attempts are being made to utilize the metaverse platform in various forms. In this paper, we focused on the educational application potential of metaverse, and developed and applied a metaverse STEAM program to provide an effective learning experience to learners in non-face-to-face educational situations. The developed program utilizes Minecraft and ZEPETO, familiar to students, as metaverse learning platforms, and consists of a total of 16 lessons of 5 modules in the form of modules so that alternative classes can take place in the educational field. Through this, the learner's change in STEAM attitude and learning satisfaction were measured, and through the developed STEAM program, the learner's interest, consideration, communication, usefulness, self-concept, self-efficacy, and career choice areas significantly increased. In addition, positive results were confirmed in all areas of the learner satisfaction test related to satisfaction, interest, and overall class. In the future, considering the characteristics of the metaverse, it is necessary to break free from the constraints of time and space to communicate anew, and various learner-centered educational approaches based on a high degree of freedom and immersion should be implemented.

An Investigation Into the Effects of AI-Based Chemistry I Class Using Classification Models (분류 모델을 활용한 AI 기반 화학 I 수업의 효과에 대한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of a Chemistry I class based on an artificial intelligence (AI) classification model. To achieve this, the research investigated the development and application of a class utilizing an AI classification model in Chemistry I classes conducted at D High School in Gyeongbuk during the first semester of 2023. After selecting the curriculum content and AI tools, and determining the curriculum-AI integration education model as well as AI hardware and software, we developed detailed activities for the program and applied them in actual classes. Following the implementation of the classes, it was confirmed that students' self-efficacy improved in three aspects: chemistry concept formation, AI value perception, and AI-based maker competency. Specifically, the chemistry classes based on text and image classification models had a positive impact on students' self-efficacy for chemistry concept formation, enhanced students' perception of AI value and interest, and contributed to improving students' AI and physical computing abilities. These results demonstrate the positive impact of the Chemistry I class based on an AI classification model on students, providing evidence of its utility in educational settings.

A Study on Teachers' Acceptance Factors of School Homepage in Elementary Schools (교사들의 학교홈페이지 활용요인에 관한 실증연구)

  • School homepage has emerged as an indispensable communication channel connecting teachers, school administration, students and parents. To increase the usage level of homepage for educational purposes, teachers need to be active proponents and users, specially in elementary schools. This paper develops the model for explaining the factors affecting the use of homepages from the perspective of teachers. The model, a modified version of technology acceptance model(TAM), includes perceived usefulness, ease of use, playfulness, job-relatedness, subjective norms, self-efficacy, etc. Based on a questionnaire survey from elementary school teachers, a statistical result as well as useful guidelines for promoting school homepages are provided.

Effects of Teaching and Learning Strategies of Learner-Centered Learning for Improving Computational Thinking (Computational Thinking 증진을 위한 학습자 중심의 교수학습 전략의 효과)

  • The purpose of this study is to verify the effectiveness of teaching and learning strategies of learner-centered learning for the computational thinking that is the educational purpose of SW education. For improving computational thinking, funny and easy educational contents and appropriate teaching and learning strategies are needed. In this study, I applied and verified the learner-centered strategies for non-computer major learners in computational thinking education: collaboration, sharing, self-directed learning. As the result, the teaching and learning of learner-centered learning affects the pleasure and the interest of learners; they affect computational thinking efficacy; it affects intention to use. It is able to apply this learner-centered learning strategies to computational thinking education as an effective educational strategies.

A study on factors influencing the decision of Web-based Learning System (Edunet) use (웹기반 학습 시스템(에듀넷) 활용 결정에 영향을 미치는 요인에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is finding factors affecting the decision of Web-based learning system (Edunet) use and searching for ways to diffuse Edunet use. Based on the diffusion of innovations theory and the results of the previous studies about web-based instruction, seven predictors influencing the decision of Edunet use were extracted. Seven variables as the followings; (1) perceived attributes of innovation (Relative Advantage, Compatibility, Complexity) (2) Innovativeness (3) Self-efficacy (4) Subjective Norm (5) Support. The participants were 315, 5-6th grade elementary school students, and the questionnaire was 20-item with 7-point Likert scales. To analyze the collected data and test the hypothesis, binary logistic regression was employed. The result indicated that the fitness of regression model including seven decision factors was proved. In addition, two factors, subjective norm and support, were identified as the important decision factors of Edunet use.

PR-Management and Branding of Media Channels with the Application of Social Networks

  • The relevance of intelligence involves the definition of such communication systems of PR-management and branding of media channels with the use of social networks, which are already implemented in practice by modern representatives of professional PR product. The purpose of the investigation is to determine the system of implementation of technologies of PR-management and branding of media channels with the use of social networks based on a survey of PR and brand of different media channels on the basis of a survey of brand managers and PR. 980 respondents from Ukraine took part in the survey. The survey was conducted on the Google-forms platform. The results outline a list of the most popular social networks and messengers for the implementation of PR management and branding technologies, including Facebook, Twitter, Google, LinkedIn, Tumblr; Telegram, WhatsApp, Viber, Skype. It is determined that the criteria of branding analysis are informativeness, centralization/distribution, content, feedback intensity. Identified 2 prospects for the development of branding in an interactive media environment (creation of a presentation system; integration of websites of social media and companies in universal centers). The criteria of general importance of the factors influencing the behavioral intention of consumers to use social media channels are presented (satisfaction, accessibility, perceived usefulness, trust, ease of use, attitude, social influence, self-efficacy). The meaning of the content of social media channels (public, informational and communication) is indicated. The practical significance of the study was to present the links between the criteria, development prospects and the values of branding factors.
