Recently, a symmetric and non-symmetric profile of screw rotor has been designed in the interior. However the processing method of screw rotor and the cutter design for screw rotor were not studied. Therefore we could we could not make the shape of the screw rotor designed by profile function with computer. In this study, we have made cutter profile design program, and manufactured cutters for screw rotors using H.S.S. We have machined screw rotorts of symmetric 4*6 profile, non-symmetric 4*6 profile with almighty milling machine.

The mecanum wheel was originaly developed in sweden to realize the omni-directional motion of the cart. The circumference of each wheel is lined with rollers set at 45 degrees relative to the main wheel. This paper proves that the roller of the mecanum wheel shapes the ellipsoid, derives the kinematic relationships between the parameters of the wheel and rollers, and proposes the procedure to determine the parameters of the wheel. The result was implemented into the computer program for the design of the mecanum wheel.

The gating design of gray cast iron was programmed in a Personal computer. By this program, casting test was done. The results obtained are as follows. 1. Gating design that can calculate the velocity of metal flow and size in each gate section by knowing the loss coefficient caused by friction loss and bend loss was programmed. 2. In the test casting, the gating ratio was changed into 1.1:1.3:1, 1:2:2, 1:4:4. And sound casting, free of sand washing defect, was obtained at the velocity of 35.5cm/sec in ingate.

The insulator used for the transmission line is a device that is bonded with a cap, pin, ceramic, and cement to withstand insulation capacity and mechanical load. The insulator design can help to reduce the dispersion of the electric field; thus, the optimization of today's design, especially as demanded power grows, is critical. The designs of four manufacturers were used to perform a comparative analysis. Under dry circumstances of the new product, an electric field distribution study was done with no pollutants attached. Manufacturer D's design has the best voltage uniformity of 24.33% and the arc length of 500 mm or more. Manufacturer C's design has an equalizing voltage of more than 2% higher than that of other manufacturers. The importance of the design of the insulator and the number of connections according to the installation conditions is very efficient for transmission lines that will increase in the future.

Though the computer has become deeply entrenched as the major tool in information processing(library works), it may be obvious that automatic book classification techniques ate still under experimentation, and the techniques have not yet been tested against the criterion of usefulness. The purpose of this study is to design of knowledge base for automatic book classification which can be put to use in library operation, and to present a methodology of application of the automatic classification into the library. Since the enumerative classification schemes which are existing are manual systems, it cannot be applied to the automatic classification, the principle of faceted classification based on concept analysis is brought in and studied. The result of this study are summarized as follows : 1. The design of knowledge base confined the field of agriculture and medicine. 2. If title is entered by the computer keyboard it will be searched in knowledge base, and then be classified by the principle of automatic classification. 3. Program flowcharts are designed as a bases of classification procedures for automatic subject recognition and classification. 4. 283 books in agriculture, 196 books in medicine were drawn at random from Taegu University Library and Young-Nal Medical Center Library respectively. 5. The experiment of automatic classification is performed 143 books in agriculture 166 books in medicine except for other subject books. 6. It was proved that automatic book classification is possible by design of knowledge base. In addition the expected values from design of knowledge base for automatic book classification are as follows : 1. The prompt and accurate process of classification is possible. 2. Though some title is classified in any library, it can be classified the some classification number by a program. 3. The user can retrieve the classification codes of books for which he or she wants to search through the computer. 4. Since the concept coordination method is employed the representing of a multisubject concept is make simple. 5. By performing automatic book classification the automation of total system can be achieved. 6. The efficient international information transfer will be advanced since all the institution maintain unified classification number.

Satellite ground track display computer program is designed and implemented for the KOMPSAT-2 mission operations. Digitized world map and detailed Korean map is realized with zoom and pan capability. The program supports real-time ground trace and off-line satellite image planning on the world map. Satellite mission timeline is also displayed with the satellite ground track for the visualized mission operations. In this paper, the satellite ground track display is described in the aspect of the functional requirements, design, and implementation.

In this paper, an operating system is designed for NC controllers. Host computer is the IBM-PC, and the controller panel is designed in graphics mode to look easily for users. Pull-down menu is selected, which is useful to minimize a mistake made by users, so users can use NC controller more effectively. Also, many functions are proposed, such as NC editor for programming the NC program directly, simulation function for testing editted NC program, and new key-pad that appropriates for the functions of OS.

In this study, a computer program was developed for analysis of the orthotropic curved ring sector plates. In the developing program , the thin-plate theory and multi-base coordinate system was adopted. The effect of design factors-boundary conditions, loading conditions, steel ratio, open angle, radius of curvature and relative flexural rigidity between slab and edge-beam-on the behavior of the circular ring sector plates were discussed. Also, the practical limitations was proposed to replace the problem of the orthotropic sector plate by equivalent rectangular plage.

A binary linear integer program is formulated for the problem of expanding the capacity of a fiber optic network and routing the traffic to deliver new interactive multimedia services. A two-phase Lagrangian dual search procedure and a Lagrangian heuristic are developed. Computational results show superior performance of the two-phase subgradient optimization compared with the conventional one-phase approach.
