파괴면적지수법에 의한 복합재료 체결부의 강도평가 (Evaluation of the composite joint strength by the failure area index method)

  • With the wide application of fiber-reinforced composite material in aero-structures and mechanical parts, the design of composite joint have become a very important research area because they are often the weakest areas in composite structures. In this paper, the failure area index method to predict the strength of the mechanically fastened composite joint which has the same stacking sequence was suggested and evaluated. By the suggested failure area index method, the strength of the mechanically fastened composite joint could be predicted within 6.03%.

In this paper, the failure area index method to predict the strength of the mechanically fastened composite joint which has the same stacking sequence was used and evaluated. By the used failure area index method, the strength of the mechanically fastened composite joint which has the specimen of different shape and stacking sequence could be predicted within 9.96%.

  • In this paper, general design process for Tracked Fighting Vehicle has been suggested. Stress analysis and optimal design for ply angle of IFV's composite upper hull has been calculated using KMA CIFV and it is contained exploratory development of design process. In this point, this paper applied composite to IFV's upper hull. Finite element mesh has been made using Matlab program, and we have analyzed stress based on the given material properties and ply arrangement. For each load condition, load distribution in plane and failure index are calculated by using Tasi-Hill criterion, which is composite failure criterion and analyzing change of failure index as change of ply angle. Finally, optimal ply angles of upper hull are calculated using KMA CIFV. We can estimate the decrease of weight for IFV's upper hull.

  • The design of composite joint is a very important research area because they are often the weakest areas in composite structures. In this paper, the failure load of the mechanically fastened composite joint with the clamping force was predicted by the failure area index method. By the suggested failure area index method, the strength of the mechanically fastened composite joint could be predicted within 22.5% when clamping force was applied to the composite joint.

  • 복합재 구조물에서 체결부위는 매우 취약한 부분이므로 복합재료 체결부에 대한 설계는 중요한 연구분야로 대두되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 클램핑 포스가 존재하는 복합재료 기계적 체결부의 파손강도를 파괴면적지수법으로 예측하였다. 클램핑 포스가 존재하는 기계적 체결부의 파손강도를 파괴면적지수법으로 예측한 결과, $22.5\%$ 범위 내에서 체결부의 강도를 예측할 수 있었다.

  • 본 연구의 목적은 H형강 단면과 콘크리트의 합성단면으로 구성된 보와 기둥의 합성 뼈대구조물에 대해 신뢰성지수를 고려한 최적 단면을 설계할 수 있는 알고리즘을 개발하는데 있다. 합성 뼈대구조물의 최적화 문제는 단면 치수를 설계변수로 취하고 목적함수와 제약조건을 형성한다. 목적함수는 구조물의 총 경비로 형성하고, 제약조건식은 단면응력과 허용응력의 신뢰성지수를 고려하여 유도한다. 합성 뼈대구조물의 단문을 최적화하는 알고리즘은 수정 Newton-Raphson 탐사법을 사용하는 SUMT기법을 사용한다. 본 연구에서 개발된 최적화 알고리즘은 1층 1경간 합성 뼈대구조물과 5층 1경간 합성 뼈대구조물의 수치예에 신뢰성지수(${\beta}=3.0$, ${\beta}=0.0$)를 고려한 합성 뼈대구조물 설계의 실용화를 위하여 적용된다. 제안된 알고리즘의 최적화 가능성과 적용성 그리고 수렴성 등을 살펴보기 위하여 수치결과들을 비교 분석한다.

  • 본 연구에서는 복합재 압력용기의 성능지수를 최대화하기 위한 적층 설계변수의 영향도 평가 및 최적설계를 수행하였다. 성능지수를 최대화하기 위하여 압력용기의 내부체적이 고정되어 있다는 가정 하에 헬리컬 및 후프 층의 두께와 후프 층의 길이, 총 세 가지 변수를 고려하였다. 선정된 변수들의 최적화를 위하여 대체모델의 구축에 필요한 반응표면법이 도입되었고, 변수의 영향도를 평가하기 위한 분산분석이 수행되었다. 최적설계 문제는 내압성능 제약조건 하에 성능지수를 최대화하는 문제로 정식화하였다. 도출된 최적화 모델에 대한 추가적인 수치해석을 통해 본 연구의 효용성을 입증하였다.

  • Numerical analysis for various design parameters should be preceded by optimal design of composite materials. Numerous studies have been conducted on the bolting of interconnecting beams. In this study, the response surface method was applied to optimize the design of bolted joints connected by laminated wood composite beams. The response surface was created by combining the FEA code for composite analysis and the algorithm for forming the response surface. Optimization on this response surface was performed with a genetic algorithm to derive the results. The determination of the optimum bolt-hole position for the connection of composite beams is an optimization problem. Tsai-Wu composite failure index, maximum deflection, and simple von Mises stress are set as the objective functions. It has been proved that the design results of the optimized bolt-hole are superior to the design performance of the existing conventional bolt-hole position.

  • In this study, previously developed algorithm is used for Optimization of hybrid composite plates using Tsai-Wu criteria. For the stress-based Design Optimization problems, Von-Mises stress uses as design variable for isotropic materials. Maximum stress, maximum strain, Tsai Hill, and Tsai-Wu criteria are generally used to determine failure of composite materials. In this study, failure index value is used as design variable in the optimization algorithm and Tsai-Wu criteria is utilized to calculate this value. In the analyses, commonly used design domains according to different hybrid orientations are optimized and results are presented. When the optimization algorithm was applied, 50% material reduction was obtained without exceeding allowable failure index value.
