  • The purpose of this study is to suggest the direction and recognition for applying to component of Emotion of the elementary school space with characteristics of child development. For the accomplishment of the study is to deduce types of emotional component and characteristics of child development based on literature and advanced research related to 'Child development and behavior', 'The elementary school space', and concept of 'children' and 'emotion'. In addition, The level of recognition of teachers and students about creation plan of school space by types of emotion component and preference and relationships of students on emotion component of elementary school space is investigated. The space environment has great influence in childhood going through big changes in physical, cognitive, emotional and social ways, Providing space environment built with emotion component such as 'affordance', 'diversity', 'territoriality', and 'relationships' considering characteristics of child development is most important of all, In particular, when building indoor space in elementary schools where students going through various development stages live, providing friendly environments for emotion of children put top priority on students in the decision-making process and guaranteed the participation of students is expected.

  • To enhance the productivity of software development and accelerate time to market, software developers have recently paid more attention to a component-based development (CBD) approach due to the benefits of component reuse. Among CBD processes, the identification of reusable components is a key but difficult process. Currently, component identification depends mainly on the intuition and experience of domain experts. In addition, there are few systematic methods or tools for component identification that enable domain experts to identify reusable components. This paper presents a systematic method and its tool called a component identifier that identifies software components by using object-oriented domain information, namely, use case models, domain object models, and sequence diagrams. To illustrate our method, we use the component identifier to identify candidates of reusable components from the object-oriented domain models of a banking system. The component identifier enables domain experts to easily identify reusable components by assisting and automating identification processes in an earlier development phase.

  • As robotics systems are becoming more complex there is the need to promote component based robot development, where systems can be constructed as the composition and integration of reusable building block. One of the most important challenges facing component based robot development is safeguarding against software component failures and malfunctions. The health monitoring of the robot software is most fundamental factors not only to manage system at runtime but also to analysis information of software component in design phase of the robot application. And also as a lot of monitoring events are occurred during the execution of the robot software components, a simple data treatment and efficient memory management method is required. In this paper, we propose an efficient events monitoring and data management method by modeling robot software component and monitoring factors based on robot software framework. The monitoring factors, such as component execution runtime exception, Input/Output data, execution time, checkpoint-rollback are deduced and the detail monitoring events are defined. Furthermore, we define event record and monitor record pool suitable for robot software components and propose a efficient data management method. To verify the effectiveness and usefulness of the proposed approach, a monitoring module and user interface has been implemented using OPRoS robot software framework. The proposed monitoring module can be used as monitoring tool to analysis the software components in robot design phase and plugged into self-healing system to monitor the system health status at runtime in robot systems.

  • In these days, educational environment has been changing as Slowing of internet. This is why we have to consider a Web-based cyber education. The LMS is functionally constituted with Class-part and Management-part. Class-part take part in planning of lecture, loading the presentation material and class service. In this system, UML is used to support a specification of Component-based LMS. Through this study, we will show the effectiveness of CBD(Component Based Development) in during LMS development.

  • The component-based development methodology becomes famous as the reuse technology to improve the high productivity of software development. It is necessary component metrics for component-based systems, because the designed components should be measurable to improve the quality of the software. Therefore this paper propose a coupling metric for component design which is reflected in characteristics of component. This paper suggest a case study and comparative analysis result about conventional metrics to verify the accuracy of our coupling metric. The Uoposed coupling metric measure the quality of components accurately and satisfies necessary conditions of coupling metric suggested by Briand and others.

  • Recently, large-scale enterprise information systems are commonly based on the multi-tiered middleware or frameworks to support such requirements as functional reuse, heterogeneous system resources, and multiple platforms. However, these multi-tiered or distributed multi-platform architecture incurs the interoperability issue of the components and metadata among the middleware. This paper introduces the Simple Object Application Framework (SOAF) which supports heterogeneous resources and platform-independent component-based development, with the abstract programming style of the object-oriented frameworks and the XML-SOAP based component persistence mechanism.

  • Recently, component-based software development is getting accepted in industry as a new effective software development paradigm. Since the introduction of component-based software engineering (CBSE) in later 90's, the CBSD research has focused largely on component modeling, methodology, architecture and component platform. However, as the number of components available on the market increases, it becomes more important to devise metrics to quantify the various characteristics of components. In this Paper, we propose metrics for measuring the complexity, customizability, and reusability of software components. Complexity metric can be used to evaluate the complexity of components. Customizability is used to measure how efficiently and widely the components can be customized for organization specific requirement. Reusability can be used to measure the degree of features that are reused in building applications. We expect that these metrics can be effectively used to quantify the characteristics of components.

  • Large software systems are being produced with a noticeably higher level of quality with component-based software engineering (CBSE), which places a strong emphasis on breaking down engineered systems into logical or functional components with clearly defined interfaces for inter-component communication. The component-based software engineering is applicable for the commercial products of open-source software. Software metrics play a major role in application development which improves the quantitative measurement of analyzing, scheduling, and reiterating the software module. This methodology will provide an improved result in the process, of better quality and higher usage of software development. The major concern is about the software complexity which is focused on the development and deployment of software. Software metrics will provide an accurate result of software quality, risk, reliability, functionality, and reusability of the component. The proposed metrics are used to assess many aspects of the process, including efficiency, reusability, product interaction, and process complexity. The details description of the various software quality metrics that may be found in the literature on software engineering. In this study, it is explored the advantages and disadvantages of the various software metrics. The topic of component-based software engineering is discussed in this paper along with metrics for software quality, object-oriented metrics, and improved performance.

  • Component users must customize components they obtain from providers, in order to fit them to their own purposes. Normally, a component consists of black-box parts and white-box parts. Component users customize a component by modifying white-box parts of a component, and the customization faults appear through the interaction between black-box parts and white-box parts. Customization testing could be an integration testing of these two parts of a component. Also, customization testing in CBSD should select effective test data to reduce the testing cost, since CBSD aims to reduce the development cost. Therefore, this paper proposes a customization testing technique based on COM architecture through analyzing many COM components, and the technique selects effective test data. This paper evaluates the effectiveness of the test data selected by the proposed technique through an empirical study. It applies the techlique to a large-scale component-based system, Chamois, and it shows that the technique enables us to test customized COM components that run in a real component-based system

  • Learning Contents Management System(LCMS) manages the contents and the process of teaming by incorporating the both in a flexible system to help learners to be able to utilize them efficiently. The e-Learning comprises all types of educations based on electronic technologies as well as the Web. The existing e-Learning system is a simple information system providing Web based contents, therefore, it cannot support flexibility for both learners and teachers. The core part of the e-Learning system should be a remote education system which creates bilateral response between the learners and teachers, by providing substantial contents based on the LCMS. In this paper, a new e-Learning system is constructed with reusable modules generated by Component-Based software Development(CBD). Furthermore, creates new contents groups and enables to develop learning courses utilizing the Learning Objects. And also, observing the SCORM standard, lecture contents are designed and prepared to support learners Learners are supported to produce profiles which enables themselves to manage, measure, and evaluate their own capabilities, so that they can develop themselves properly in accordance with their levels, build prototypes for self development. Also a system that comprises all these individual components is suggested.
