W-Project is 70-story mixed-use residential building complex project in Busan, the second biggest city in South Korea. As it is a high rise building complex located at the coast, the residents have great ocean view from the height. Though, there were many difficult challenges to be solved to secure structural safety and meet the serviceability requirements. As it is located on the reclaimed land, securing the foundation bearing capacity on soft soil is the first issue to be solved for the stable structure. W-Project. Busan on the way usual track of typhoon, wind load on structure is also critical for structural safety and serviceability for occupants due to wind vibration. This paper will address process of lateral load resisting structural system of W-Project.

The Consultation about Energy Use Plan is prescribed by the Energy Use Rationalization Act. In order to reset Examination Criteria for Energy Use Plan, consultation case analysis from 2001 to 2010 were carried out and National Energy Master Plan was reviewed. This study proposes that Examination Criteria for Energy Use Plan be should divided into Urban & Tourism complex development project and Industrial complex development project for the prevention of civil complain. Also predicts that effect of energy savings calculated by Reset Examination Criteria on $1^{ST}$ energy demand BAU at 2030 is 2.2%, effect of new & renewable energy utilization at 2030 is 3% and the rate of $CO_2$ reduction to greenhouse gas emission BAU at 2020 is 1.1%.

Purpose: Korean society has already entered an aged society but there aren't many evidence-based studies on the elderly-friendly design elements in the apartment environment, which is the main residential type in Korea. The main purpose of this study is to verify the necessity and expandability of the outdoor environment design in the public rental apartment complex through the evaluation of the effectiveness and satisfaction of SMG(Seoul Metropolitan Government) Cognitive Health Design Project in GR 1 apartment complex. Methods: The research subjects were GR 1-complex as experimental group and the nearby Wolgye Deer 1-complex as control group, both public rental apartment and located in Seoul. As a research method, the survey was conducted before and after the implementation of SMG project for residents of the apartment. A total of 200 preliminary surveys and 203 post surveys were conducted. Results: As a result of this study, residents' accidents related safety have decreased, and both the frequency of use and satisfaction of most facilities have increased. It is noteworthy that the increase in cognitive items in the post-survey. Also, 74.5% of the residents evaluated that the complex was better to live after the project was implement. Implications: The fact that the preliminary surveys were not conducted for the same person is considered as the limitation of the study, but it is meaningful in that it systematically assesses the effectiveness of the project on the cognitive health of the outdoor residential environment towards age-friendly city.

Recently, Information System (IS) development projects such as the next generation IS project of the financial business domain have shown tendency to become large and complex. Accordingly, a large number of enterprises have introduced a Project Management Office (PMO) to successfully manage multiple complex large-scaled projects. Many researches and empirical studies have proved the positive results of PMO-based projects. For example, most PMO-based projects have been accomplished successfully without exceeding the planned deadline and budget. However, even in the case of PMO-based projects, participants are still supported by legacy Project Management Systems (PMS) developed without considering the PMO. It implies that recent large projects are hardly performed efficiently because of the large gap between the legacy PMS tools developed only for single small projects and the real process of PMO-based project management. Therefore, we attempt to design and develop a PMO-based PMS in which the role and responsibility of PMO are completely implemented. To demonstrate our systems practicality, we applied the devised system to the real project management cases of "K" bank in The Republic of Korea. According to the results of case analysis, all of the four projects supported by our PMO-based PMS have been completed without exceeding planned deadline and budget, and the quality of their final outcome is appraised to be superior.

The grain complex of Saemangeum is created for promoting the foundation of agriculture combined the global competitiveness. However, the masterplan is being also revised with changing of local conditions and social needs. Thus, the dynamic masterplan is needed to consider the change of time for Saemangeum project. The present study was made to set up the dynamic masterplan of Saemangeum grain complex for handling the change such as project progress, local environment, and project conditions flexibly. In this study, the dynamic masterplan for the progressive development of water supply, farmland composition, and introduction facilities is presented to the 6-2 zone in three stages. We believed that the water supply would be possible through the pumping and desalination facilities with the development stages. The farmland composition proceeded for each complex with reclamation, soil preparation, and soft soil processing. And it is planned to carry out crop cultivation from the complex where the construction is completed first. The introduction facilities were analyzed focusing on the silos and forage loading facilities, and the optimal location of them was selected using road and accessibility. The concept of dynamic masterplan may provide the direction for the planning and progress of reclamation project.

This study examines the site and erection of the Government Complex Seoul which was a project attempted to assemble dispersed government buildings in a certain place. The study focuses on the fact that the project is situated between the 1960s' making of capital Seoul and Seoul urban planning, and the way how the project achieved symbolism in capital Seoul. The project, one of the 1960s' Major Government Buildings, led both plan of capital Seoul and transforming city Seoul. The 1960s' Major Government Building Plan had identical drive with the 1950's Major Government Building Plan, however the 1960s' had additional layer: Seoul urban planning. After restoration of the Capital building, Sejongro the capital street was planned to the site arranging government offices. The Government Complex Seoul was set to be a modern building on a site with historical context according to the plan. Because of the site, the Government Complex Seoul was constructed in aware of other buildings that represented a competitive high-rise atmosphere in the late 1960s, including the Capital building nearby. PAE International's plan was completed through a series of design modification, and it boasted a vertical aspect, unlike the horizontal-looking plan that was already won after the design competition. The Government Complex Seoul tried to acquire the symbolism in the central space of the capital Seoul and high-rised city Seoul. "The new construction method" was a requirement to achieve the height.

누리꿈스퀘어 프로젝트는 서울 상암동 DMC(Digital Media City) 지역에 조성되는 IT Complex로서, 다양한 기능의 건물들이 복합적으로 구성되어 있다. 또한 설계${\cdot}$시공 일괄입찰방식으로 발주되어 설계단계에서부터 시공단계에 이르기까지 쳬계적인 건설사업관리를 요구하는 프로젝트이다. 본 연구에서는 실무적 차원의 건설사업관리 업무에 대한 이해를 돕기 위하여, 누리꿈스퀘어 프로젝트의 건설사업관리 업무를 소개하고, 주요 수행 사례에 대하여 분석하였다. 또한 본 프로잭트를 수행하면서 경험한 현행 건설사업관리 업무의 문제점을 정리하였고, 이에 대한 개선 방안을 제안하였다. 마지막으로 다년간의 건설사업관리 업무 경험을 토대로 향후 건설사업관리 제도가 발전하기 위한 방안을 제시하였다.

국토교통부는 착공후 20년 된 노후산업단지를 대상으로 산업단지의 물리적기반시설 개량 확충, 산업구조재편 등 산업단지 경쟁력 강화방안을 추진하였으며(2013.9), 2014년 12월에는 산업단지 경쟁력 강화방안의 세부 과제인 노후산업단지 리모델링 활성화 방안의 일환으로 노후산업단지 경쟁력강화 종합계획을 수립한 바 있다. 이에 노후산업단지 재생사업의 중요성이 부각되면서 국토교통부는 전국의 20년이 경과한 산업단지 공모 평가를 거쳐 1차 시범사업지구(09.9) 4개 지구를 선정하였으며, 2차 사업지구 4개지구(2014.12), 3차 사업지구 10개지구(2016.4), 4차 사업지구 5개 지구(2017.3)가 선정되었다. 즉 현재까지 착공 후 20년 된 노후산업단지 83개 중 재생사업 지구로 선정된 곳은 총 23개 지구이다. 국토교통부에서는 공모 평가를 거쳐 총 23개 지구를 선정하였지만 본 연구에서는 Focus Group Interview를 통하여 경쟁력 강화 지표 선정 후 83개 노후산업단지의 DB구축을 점수화하여 나타낸 노후산업단지 하위 23개(30%) 지구와 국토부에서 공모사업으로 선정된 23개 지구를 비교분석하였다. 분석결과, 경쟁력 지표를 통한 하위 23개(30%) 산업단지와 국토부 공모사업으로 선정된 산업단지 리스트가 다소 비슷하게 나타났으나, 경쟁력 지표를 통한 산업단지 중 재생사업의 시급한 산업단지임에도 불구하고 공모사업 선정이 안 된 산업단지와 문제점을 제시함으로써 앞으로 노후산업단지 사업추진의 실행가능성을 위한 지침서로 활용되길 기대한다.

This paper presents a case study using Building Information Modeling (BIM) for planning, simulating, and implementing complex site logistics in a headquarter office building construction project in Silver Spring, MD. As part of the project a prefabricated 92ft structural tube steel pedestrian connector bridge was installed between two adjacent buildings in the city of Silver Spring, MD. There were multiple significant challenges to deliver, offload, prepare, and install the connector bridge safely, on time, and with the minimum disturbances to the neighbors. BIM was of the foremost importance to visualize, simulate, analyze, improve, and communicate the site logistics plan from delivery to installation of the connector bridge. As a result of the effort, GC of the project was able to prepare a highly detailed plan, communicate it effectively to all stakeholders, and flawlessly execute the work as planned. This case study would provide a useful reference for contractors who are seeking a better planning method that enables generation of more accurate, implementable, optimized plans for complex site logistics.

Recently as construction projects have been complicated, it has been wearing thin to draw on their personal experiences for management. Although the advance of IT, using the technology for construction is insufficient in contrast to other industries. BIM has been steadily used in construction projects, but it is not easy to find the case of successful use. This research considers ways in which BIM technology can be applied to useful management on a construction site and derives a method of application of using BIM for a Mega-complex Building Project especially.
