The purpose of this study is to analyze the trend of Korean domestic multi-family housing. For that, this study surveyed 139 apartment complex cases which were sold from December 2002 to December 2005. When Hwasung Dongtan apartment complex was sold in 2004, there were a lot of attempts in various quarters, especially in unit planning and eco-friendly design. Accordingly, it is worthy that analyzing the trend before and after of 2004. As a result, the trend has been moving from 'convenient and high class' to 'LOHAS, one-stop living, convergency, and residents' satisfaction' because leasure and well-living have been the purpose of their living. Therefore, we can predict that B.I. and design identity would be more important, and various contents would be created for residents' community and private life.
The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of housing units assembled as complexes on residential satisfaction. Two analyses were performed to examine residential satisfaction of Multi-Family Housing Blocks (MFHB; complex) and Multi-Household Housing (MH; non-complex). The residents from both housing types were surveyed on nine categories of questions regarding residential satisfaction and one on overall satisfaction from their experiences. First, the t-test results between MFHB and MH suggest that MFHB has insufficient effect in terms of improvement over MH, as their satisfaction differences are either insignificant or uncontrollable. Second, the common factors affecting Overall Satisfaction of MFHB and MH are Maintenance and Residential Environments.
For an open set G in the complex plane C, we prove the existence of an entire function f such that its integer translations forms a finitely normal family exactly on G if and only if G is periodic with period 1 and G has no hole.
Purpose: This paper attempts to explore a Christian perspective on the process leading to growth after complex trauma caused by family violence experience. To achieve it, the article tackles the analysis of relationship between the inflictor father and victim, interpersonal relationship, and relationship with God in terms of growth after suffering from the trauma of family violence with a Christian perspective. Research design, data, and methodology: This study employed an in-depth interview as a methodology. Seven Christian adults who have experienced family violence in childhood are selected for the qualitative case study. 58 concepts, 24 low-level categories, and eight high-level categories are derived from each interview case. Results: The results of the case study show that the negative emotion caused by family violence during childhood is likely to lead to narcissistic rage. It is found that the reflection for posttraumatic growth starts with crying to God, simultaneously expressing pain and suffering. Conclusions: The interesting thing is that they are willing to forgive in the process of trauma therapy. It should be noted that the research results also demonstrate that relationship restoration entails the meaning reconstruction in the interpersonal relations.
In this paper we compute the Bredon homology of wallpaper groups with respect to the family of finite groups and with coefficients in the complex representation ring. We provide explicit bases of the homology groups in terms of irreducible characters of the stabilizers.
For a certain set G in the complex plane, we construct a transcendental entire function f whose translated family ${f(2^{n}z)}$ is normal only at z in G and establish the relation between the normal family and the Julia direction of f(z).
Purpose: This qualitative study aimed to explore the lived and true meaning of experiences of middle-aged patients with complex regional pain syndrome. Methods: The participants were 10 men and women aged 40 to 60 years who received outpatient treatment at a university hospital, could communicate, and agreed to participate in the study. Data were collected through individual interviews using open and semi-structured questions from September 2019 to July 2021 and were analyzed using the content analysis method suggested by Hsieh and Shannon (2005). Results: As a result of this study, 42 summarized semantic units related to life experience, 15 subthemes, and seven themes were derived. The seven themes were "pressed by severe pain," "frustrated because I cannot be part of the community," "distressed because people do not recognize my disease," "sad about conflicts with family," "unmotivated because of desperate life," "appreciating for support," and "putting oneself together and living daily life." Conclusion: The vivid experiences of the participants derived in this study are the basic data for developing treatment guidelines. In the future, we propose a study on life and family care experiences according to the developmental characteristics of the life cycle of patients with complex regional pain syndrome and develop and apply programs to support patients and their families.
My concern was to explore how the Korean 'wild geese families' functioned to maintain 'familyhood' in spite of spatial separation by using a qualitative approach. I used personal narratives from eleven 'geese mothers' living in the United States. Family paths across time were analyzed to understand their complicated nature. Respondents adopted some coping strategies to obtain the flexibility and the stability for relocating their transnational lives. These were 1) communications, 2) relocation of household work, and 3) reinterpretation of 'sacrifice.' It seemed that their family paths become either the continuous type (prolong their stay) or the discontinuous type (not prolong their stay). These were shaped by complex individual, familial, and social forces which affected differently according to the steps of family life cycles. Therefore, this study showed that the Korean 'wild geese family' did not move toward the uni-direction with the same experiences and nature. More importantly, it is noteworthy to acknowledge that the prevalence of 'wild geese family' reveals the dynamic interactive nature of the family, i.e., actively responding to the changes and challenges from the diverse circumstances. It is inferred that the social and cultural factors such as the class mobility, the education system, and the values may influence the family life style.
The purpose of this study is to analyze typologic methods in the Family Studies. For this goal, we reviewed literatures related to social research methodology, and analyzed articles in the Family Studies part on the basis of themes and typologic methods. The major resets can be summarized as follow: Typology methods used to clarify complex and subtle family phenomena and distinguish redundant interaction in everyday life. Especially, they can show family system type, communication mode style, leisure activity type, life altitude type, and personality traits type. Typology was made by the methods as follow: the insight, crossing the two single question, intersecting scale's mean or middle point, cluster analysis, and factor analysis. Typology is useful method in the Family Studies, but the accuracy standard needs in the future studies.
A 72-year-old woman with metastatic lung cancer to bone and brain and with left external iliac vein thrombosis was under the care of a community palliative care provider. She experienced an acute pain crisis due to acute limb ischemia of the left lower limb. Goals-of-care discussions were held with the patient and her family; she prioritized symptom control and end-of-life care at home. The family and patient were aware of her short prognosis. Her complex pain was managed by the community palliative team, and her family was empowered to give subcutaneous injections. We illustrate a case showing the importance of community health services with palliative care support in providing symptom management and support to patient and family caregivers throughout the course of a life-limiting illness. It also highlights family caregivers' potential psychological distress in delivering subcutaneous injections in terminal care for a patient at home.
