In this study, we compared dose distributions from simultaneously integrated boost (SIB) method versus the RTOG 0631 protocol for spine radiosurgery. Spine radiosurgery plans were performed in five patients with localized spinal metastases from hepatocellular carcinoma. The computed tomography (CT) and T1- and T2-weighted magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) were fused for delineating of GTV and spinal cord. In SIB plan, the clinical target volume (CTV1) was included the whole compartments of the involved spine, while RTOG 0631 protocol defines the CTV2 as the involved vertebral body and both left and right pedicles. The CTV2 includes transverse process and posterior element according to the extent of GTV. The doses were prescribed 18 Gy to GTV and 10 Gy to CTV1 in SIB plan, while the prescription of RTOG 0631 protocol was applied 18 Gy to CTV2. The results of dose-volume histogram (DVH) showed that there were competitive in target coverage, while the doses of spinal cord and other normal organs were lower in SIB method than in RTOG 0631 protocol. The 85% irradiated volume of VB in RTOG 0631 protocol was similar to that in the SIB plan. However, the dose to normal organs in RTOG 0631 had a tendency to higher than that in SIB plan. The SIB plan might be an alternative method in case of predictive serious complications of surrounded normal organs. In conclusion, although both approaches of SIB or RTOG 0631 showed competitive planning results, tumor control probability (TCP) and normal tissue complication probability (NTCP) through diverse clinical researches should be analyzed in the future.

In an era of very rapid technological change, standardization organizations have been confronted with the problem that they should develop more new and more complex standards as strategic tools for enforcement of competitive power in shorter time according to the reduction of Life Cycle of products and the increase in the number of standards and their complexity. To cope with this challenge, worldwide Standardization Bodies now implement and operate their own EDH (Electronic Document Handling) system which is electronic means applied to development and delivery of standards based on their standardization workflow. In this paper, we analyze the EDH guidelines and methods of major Standardization Bodies, International bodies such as ITU-T, ISO/IEC JTC1, Regional bodies such as ETSI, Committee T1 of USA and TTA (Telecommunications Technology Association) of Korea. Finally, we discuss future EDH policy and suggest architecture of Advanced Standards Information System.
Point of Production/Manufacturing Execution Systems are an essential component of operations in today's competitive business environments, which require greater production efficiency and effectiveness. POP/MES focuses on the valuing-adding processes, helping to reduce manufacturing cycle time, improve product quality, reduce WIP, reduce or eliminate paperwork between shifts, reduce lead time and empowering plant operations staff. In this paper, we implement POP/MES to manage real-time plant floor data which is gathered by I/O server into database management system. I/O server is a software allows data exchange between factory real-time database and several hardware devices such as PLC, DCS, robot and sensor through ethernet TCP/IP protocol.
The target for the reduction of $CO_2$ emissions, as specified in the Kyoto Protocol, can only be achieved by an extended use of renewable fuels and the increasing of the energy efficiency. The energy generation from waste gases with a reasonable content of methane like biogas can significantly contribute to reach this target. A further reduction of greenhouse gas emissions is possible by increasing the electrical efficiency using progressive technologies. Fuel cells can be highly energy conversion devices. Utilizing biogas as the fuel for fuel cell systems offers an option that is technically feasible, potentially economically attractive and greenhouse gas neutral. High temperature fuel cells that are able to operate with carbon monoxide in the feed are well suited to these applications. Furthermore, because they do not require noble metal catalysts, the cost of high-temperature fuel cells has the greatest potential to become competitive in the near future compared to other types of fuel cells.
In Korea, due to its broad efficacy as a systemic insecticide, imidacloprid has been widely used in rice paddies to control sucking insects, soil insects, and some chewing insects and in apple orchards to control various insects pests. To quantify the imidacloprid residue concentrations, samples are assayed in vitro using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays(ELISA). These assays generally require several hours to perform. As a biosensor, a competitive imidacloprid ELISA was modified to measure insecticide concentrations. It was found that a total assay time of 15 min(10-min antibody-antigen binding, and 5-min substrate development) is sufficient for monitoring imidacloprid concentrations. Further work is needed to improve the sensitivity of the measurement protocol.

C-Reactive protein (CRP), which is an 118 kDa pentameric protein, was secreted by the liver is an important biomarker for coronary disease, hypertension and inflammation. In this study, a method for CRP detection exploiting quantum dot (Qdot)-antibody conjugate was developed according to an indirect-competitive immunosensing protocol. For this purpose, a streptavidin-bound $Qdot_{605}$ was linked with a separately prepared biotinylated monoclonal antirat CRP antibody to produce a Qdot-antibody conjugate. The immunosensing was performed at 0.1 and 20 nM of the coating antigen and conjugate, respectively. The current method was found very sensitive in CRP detection, judging from the concentration-dependent fluorescence emission.

The trend in construction industry, now, lies in improving efficiency and competitive power in construction management and on-the-spot instruction by combining with new IT technology. Above all, it is safe to say that the application of RFID technology can play a pivotal role at this point, but it is not that easy to apply RFID due to the physical, chemical and environmental peculiarities of construction materials. Thus, a study on the standardization of the usable frequency, specifications, protocol, and package administration is required. This study, as part of the study on the standardization, figured out the restrictions by attaching the existing RFID Tag to the construction materials, turned out the prototype of RFID Tag to perform a field test. In result the effective recognition range varies according to the physical and environmental peculiarities of construction materials; and the management efficiency varies as the attaching method and/or applying method. To analyze the management method (media, process etc.) systematically for the existing construction materials; to prepare more various restrictions and its solutions for practical construction spots will be the key for successful RFID implementation.
Connected Dominating Set(CDS) has been used as a virtual backbone in wireless ad hoc networks by numerous routing and broadcast protocols. Although computing minimum CDS is known to be NP-hard, many protocols have been proposed to construct a sub-optimal CDS. However, these protocols are either too complicated, needing non- local information, not adaptive to topology changes, or fail to consider the difference of energy consumption for nodes in and outside of the CDS. In this paper, we present two Timer-based Energy-aware Connected Dominating Set Protocols(TECDS). The energy level at each node is taken into consideration when constructing the CDS. Our protocols are able to maintain and adjust the CDS when network topology is changed. The simulation results have shown that our protocols effectively construct energy-aware CDS with very competitive size and prolong the network operation under different level of nodal mobility.
Our fossil fuels will be exhausted and replaced with renewable energies over tile next few decades. And rapidly increasing consumption of primary makes every country recognize the potential significance of climate change and necessity of greenhouse gas reduction. A critical part of the solution is to ratify the Kyoto Protocol and the UNFCC, and to develop and utilize the wind energy. One of the renewable energies, wind energy is increasing competitive in liberalised energy markets and shows annual growth rate of $20\~30\% in past five years. Thus, the purpose of this paper is to describe the necessity and characteristics of wind energy industries, to compare the international development policies of wind energy industries, and to suggest and discuss the alternative development policies of wind energies in Korea
The major protocol features of the rodent uterotrophic assay have been evaluated using a range of reference chemicals. The protocol variables considered include the selection of the test species and route of chemical administration, the age of the test animals, the maintenance diet used, and the specificity of the assay for estrogens. The rodents were ovariectomized under general anesthesia via bilateral flank incisions and randomly assigned to groups of 5 animals. Chemicals were DEHP, DBP, BPA and NP, were injected sc once daily with combinations of chemicals treatments for 3 days. In the results, the reported estrogenic chemicals DEHP and DBP were both negative in the single dose treatments. But, in the combinations of chemicals treatments, DEHP and DBP increased in bud number of mammary gland. Treatment of ovariectomized mice with combinations of other chemicals resulted in uterine and vaginal hyperplasia. The additive estrogenic effects were seen with the combinations of $17{\beta}$-Bestradiol and DBP treatment. the competitive estrogenic effects were seen with the combinations of $17{\beta}$-Bestradiol and nonylphenol, $17{\beta}$-Bestradiol and bisphenol-A treatments. These results offers a sysmatic and mechanistically informative approach to assessing estrogenicity. it provides a useful profile of activity using a reasonable amount of resources and is compatible with the study of individual chemicals as well as the investigation of interactions among combinations of chemicals. The results described illustrate the intrinsic complexity of evaluating chemicals for estrogenic activities and conform the need for rigorous attention to experimental design and criteria for assessing estrogenic activity.
