  • This study purposed to analyze how teacher experience of instructional change (EIC), teacher morale (TM), and school climate (SC) mediate or moderate the relationship between teacher efforts on instructional improvement (EII) and teacher efficacy (TE). For the purpose, the 6th year data of Gyeonggi Education Panel Study (GEPS) which was administered in 2017 for the 9th grade students and their teachers from 197 middle schools in Gyeonggi Province was used. As results, the mediation effects of EIC on the link between EII and TE was found only under the innovative climate. The moderation effects of TM on the connection between EIC and TE were appeared in both of the permissive and the innovative climate. Finally, the moderated mediation effects of the TM in the innovative climate were bigger rather than in the permissive climate.

  • We tested the pre-treatment of alumina, leucine, alumina mixed with leucine at ratios of 9:1 (Al-Leu (9:1)) and 5:1 (Al-Leu (5:1)), and alumina mixed with sodium lactate at a ratio of 5:1 (Al-Lac (5:1)) on aged fingerprints (1, 7, 14, and 30 days after natural fingerprinting) before cyanoacrylate (CA) fuming to improve the development efficacy. As a result of the experiment, fingerprints with pre-treatment of alumina, leucine, Al-Leu (9:1), Al-Leu (5:1), and Al-Lac (5:1) showed better development efficacy (area and minutiae) than fingerprints without pre-treatment. Therefore, this modified CA fuming method improved the development efficacy with five pretreatments.

  • Purpose: This study aimed to develop Humanitude care educational program and validate its effects with a sample of third-year nursing students, thereby providing fundamental data for the application of the program to the education of gerontological nursing. Methods: Humanitude care comprised four strategies and five steps for the elderly. In this study, the Humanitude care educational program for nursing students was developed according to ADDIE process. And then, a non-randomized control group pretest-posttest design was adopted to identify the effects of the Humanitude care educational program. The intervention group with 22 third-year nursing students completed the Humanitude care educational program and then participated in clinical practice for 3 weeks. The 25 third-year nursing students in the comparison group participated in clinical practice without taking educational intervention. Differences between the intervention group and control group on Humanitude care knowledge, attitude toward the elderly, patient-centered communication, and care efficacy were analyzed with t-tests. Results: After completing the Humanitude care education, the intervention group showed significantly high scores in Humanitude care knowledge (t=8.82, p<.001), patient-centered communication (t=2.54, p=.015), and care efficacy (t=2.14, p=.040) than the control group. However, after finishing clinical practice, there were no significant differences in all variables between the intervention and control groups. Conclusion: Humanitude care educational program can be adopted as an effective intervention in Humanitude care knowledge, patient-centered communication, and care efficacy of nursing students. However, to continue the educational effect, instructors should facilitate nursing students applying Humanicide care in clinical practice. Ultimately, it can propose a novel educational direction that can be applied to human-centered care in gerontological nursing practice.

  • The purpose of this study is to evaluate the efficacy of teaching methods among elementary school math teachers in terms of student achievement in examinations. Results are based upon data from two elementary schools. The evaluation criteria of fifteen items was modified from Ryang's original MTEBI sixteen items to measure elementary school teachers' math teaching efficacy. The result of this study could be summarized as follows. The students were divided into two groups according to teaching efficiency: higher teaching efficiency and lower teaching efficiency. A comparison of math tests taken by students from these groups demonstrates a significant statistical difference. Students with teachers in the lower efficiency group are likely to under-perform. In consequence, teachers' self-efficiency in math is considered to affect students' learning achievement in mathematics.

  • It is about the study of life satisfaction with type of employment(entrepreneur/paid employee), social factor(social capital), and psychological factor(self efficacy) in Seoul. The empirical results using Seoul Welfare Panel showed that psychological factor was the most powerful, and economic (household income levels) and social factor were in order. Type of employment was also significantly affected on life satisfaction, and paid employee's life satisfaction was higher than entrepreneur's one. In case of paid employee, psychological(self-efficacy) and social(norms, informal networks of participation, non-profit trust) factor in addition to the economic factor were significantly. In case of entrepreneur, economic and psychological factor and only norm among social factors were significant. Finally, The implications for politicians and local public officials were reported.

  • A comparison was made of the effects of selective ${\alpha_1}-adrenoceptor$ agonist phenylephrine and selective ${\alpha_2}-adrenoceptor$ agonist clonidine on endothelium-containing and endothelium-denuded rings of the rat aorta. In the case of phenylephrine, removal of endothelium increased sensitivity 2.5 fold at $EC_{50}$ level and maximum contractive response 1.4 fold. In the case of clonidine, which gave only 15% of maximum contractive response given to phenylephrine on endothelium-containing rings, removal of the endothelium increased sensitivity 5.6 fold at $EC_{50}$ level and maximum contractive response 5 fold, which was about 55% of that given by phenylephrine. In endothelium-denuded ring, phenylephrine-induced contraction tended to be more increased in tonic contraction than in phasic contraction as compared to that in endothelium-containing ring, while clonidine-induced contraction was monophasic and was increased only in tonic contraction. In the calcium-free solution or in the presence, of verapamil, contraction stimulated by clonidine was almost abolished while that stimulated by phenylephrine produced only phasic contraction. The depression of sensitivity to these agonists in rings with endothelium appeared to be due to the vasodepressor action of endothelium derived relaxing factor (EDRF), because hemoglobin, a specific blocking agent of EDRF, abolished this depression. It is unlikely that the endothelium-dependent relaxation was due to stimulation of release of EDRF, because clonidine did not produce endothelium-dependent relaxation in 5-hydroxytryptamine-precontracted ring even when its contractile action was blocked by the ${\alpha_1}-adrenoceptor$ antagonist, prazosin. When the efficacy of phenylephrine was reduced to about the initial efficacy of clonidine by pretreatment with dibenamine, the contraction-response curves for phenylephrine became very similar to the corresponding curves obtained for clonidine before receptor inactivation. In the dibenamine-treated rings, contraction of phenylephrine was abolished in calcium-free solution or in the presence of verapamil like that obtained for clonidine before receptor inactivation. These results suggest that EDRF spontaneously released from endothelium depress contraction more profoundly in a case of an agonist with low efficacy and the phenylephrine-induced contraction was totally dependent on extracellular calcium as was that obtained for clonidine when the efficacy of phenylephrine was reduced to that of clonidine by irreversible inactivation of ${\alpha_1}-adrenoceptor$ with dibenamine.

  • Objective : In this study we wanted to confirm if proper stimulation and de-Qi of traditional Korean medical acupuncture could increase hot flash relief efficacy. Design : A randomized controlled, single blind study. We used two modalities of acupuncture, one with optimal stimulation [Study group; Korean medical acupuncture (TKMA)] and one with minimal stimulation [Control group; Minimal acupuncture (MA)]. Same acupoints [PC6(內關), HT8(少府), HT7(神門), LI4(合谷), ST36(足三里), SP6(三陰交), Ren4(關元)] were used in both groups. Fifty-two patients were treated twice a week for 8 weeks, and follow up was done after 4 weeks from the last treatment. Patients were checked hot flash VAS (visual analog scale), frequency and duration every time they visited. Results : Hot flash relief efficacy by 100mm hot flash VAS was obvious in both groups. Hot flash VAS scores of study group were smaller than the scores of control group at the early stage (3rd, $4^{th}$ and $8^{th}$ visit), but there wasn't a remarkable difference between study and control group at the end of the trial. Besides, diminution of hot flash VAS was faster and more even in the study group than control group by visualization using 'Box plot'. We compared frequency and duration of hot flash, 100mm sweating, palpitation, sleep disturbance VAS, and Kupperman Index, MENQOL, Patient's global assessment score. Both groups showed definite decrease from the baseline, but the difference was not statistically significant. There wasn't any adverse event. Hot flash relief efficacy was kept in most patients after 4 weeks' follow-up. Conclusion : Acupoint combination by Traditional Korean medical theory is effective on hot flashes and hot flash relief efficacy was faster and more even in optimal stimulation than minimal stimulation.

  • This study describes the application of the stages of change construct to fat intake by examining the associations of the stages of change with nutritional status and beliefs on health behavior. Data were obtained from apparently healthy 596 adults(326 females and 270 males) residing in large cities. Stages of change assessed by an algorithms based on 6 items were designed each subject into one of the 5 stages: precontemplation(PC), contemplation(CO), preparation(PR), action(AC) and maintenance(MA). Beliefs on health behavior were assessed by self efficacy as well as 4 belief scales from the Locus of Illness Control(LIC) developed using factor analysis such as internal disease cure and prevention and external disease cure and prevention. Energy and fat intakes were measured by a 39 item short form food frequency questionnaire. Regarding the 5 stages of change, MA stage comprised the largest group(37.9%), followed by Ac(30.7%), PC(11.4%), CO(10.4%) and PR(9.6%). Subjects who were females, older or healthier were more likely to belong to either AC or MA. Stage assignment of individuals was corroborated by their nutritional variables. Those in PC had the most energy and fat and those in MA ate the least for females. BMI was higher in PR than any other stages for both males and females. Those in PC were distinctive in that they were more externally oriented in terms of health control showing higher scores on external disease prevention(for males) and external disease cure(for females), and lower score on internal disease cure. On the other hand, those in MA received the highest scores on internal disease prevention and self efficacy, which suggested that they were more internally oriented. Canonical discriminant function analysis indicated that the 5 stages were importantly discriminated by BMI, self efficacy, internal disease prevention and external disease prevention for males and by fat intake, self efficacy and external disease cure variables for females. The results of our study confirm differences in stages of change in fat intake in terms of nutritional status and beliefs on heath behavior and indicate the need for taking these phases of change into account in nutrition advice. • The purpose of this study was to identify changes and differences in perceptions of disabilities, attitudes toward inclusive education, and teacher efficacy in Early childhood pre-service teachers through capstone design-based disability teaching material production classes. The study participants were 50 third-year child care majoring students (25 experimental group, 25 comparison group) who participated in capstone design class for one semester in 2020 at 3-year K university. Looking at the results of the study, the experimental group, which produced teaching materials for the disabilities, showed significant changes in disability awareness, attitude toward inclusive education, and teacher efficacy than the comparative group. there was a positive change in the perception of disability due to an increase in the overall understanding and knowledge of the disabilities. It is judged that these positive changes in the perception of people with disabilities gave positive changes to the attitude toward inclusive education and teachers' efficacy. This positive change of early childhood pre-service teachers will serve as an opportunity to improve the quality of teaching behavior and various roles of teachers when interacting with children with disabilities in the inclusive education field.

  • This study examined the effects of sling-complex exercise on depression, function, and quality of life in the elderly. As a study method, 40 elderly people aged 65 years or older among nursing homes in M Hospital located in D city were compared randomly with the Suspended Combined Exercise Program group (n=20) and control group (n=20). This was measured using the GDS for depression before and after the intervention for 60 minutes, two days a week for 12 weeks for the combined exercise program with a sling and the same program without a sling. In addition, the quality of life was measured using self-efficacy. For comparison within the group, a paired t-test was applied, and a two-sample t-test was used for the comparison. After the intervention, the experimental group showed a significantly greater change in all evaluations (GDS, FIM, and self-efficacy) compared to the control group (p<0.05). Moreover, there was no significant change in the general self-efficacy of the control group (p>0.05). Overall, the sling complex exercise program is effective in improving the quality of life of the elderly.
