The most frustrating of all problems to physically disabled individuals are building and facilities, supposedly created for the public. that are designed and constructed in such a manner that probit the full participation of the physically. The first problem is to determine what might be done to make accessible and fuctional existing buildings that are now nonaccessible. The second task, the simpler of the two, is the development of the standards for proper design and construction of new building and facilities. thus the purpose of this study was co obtain precise information about the inconvenience of architectural barriers in the pubic building and facilities that having the physically disabled. Those listed in this survey 22 pubic building and facilities and 3 general hospital in An-dong city from December 20 to 28. 1995. Measurement obtained were compare with available international criteria and standards. These findings are offered to the appropriate autority as a guide for developing barriers-free design suit able to the Korean situation.

In this paper we study the delay patterns of voice traffic for end-to-end users Caused by serving the whole bunch of applications traffic at the same time on the Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) network. Given the current situation that voice traffic is served along with other application services on the VoIP network, it is quite necessary to figure out how and by what the voice traffic requiring high QoS is delayed. We compare the delay performance of voice traffic on the VoIP network under FIFO with the one under Weighted Fair Queuing(WFQ), and discover the differences of the delay performance resulting from the use of different voice codec algorithms. The results of our study show that using the voice codec algorithm with a higher coding rate nd the queuing algorithm of WEQ can provide users with high-quality voice traffic.

For 24 hours-7 days service on distributed systems, a great deal of efforts are investigated on high availability for seamless operation. In this paper, we propose a dynamic reconfiguration framework of distributed systems, called "hot-swapping" framework. This framework allows us to upgrade and exchange a number of modules of a distributed system without stopping running service as well as the system itself. In order to hide the state of service operation, the framework employes the "proxy" design pattern. Our framework provides two types of proxies: a static proxy and a dynamic proxy, Static proxies can achieve fast execution time, but they need to be changed whenever any minor change exists in the related swappable module. Meanwhile, dynamic proxies takes longer execution time, but do not need to be changed under minor changes of swappable modules. We compare performances of static and dynamic proxies and also apply the framework to a real situation with security management modules. management modules.

Recently, in order to stay at predominance in the global infinity competition, most of companies have been reducing the cost in many fields of industry First of all, the reduction of the logistics cost have been recognized greatly as the company value rises. But, the current situation of domestic logistics cost is very weak compared with Japan, U.S.A., etc. A rate of logistics cost out of GDP is still high compared with the competitors. The reduction of the transportation cost from overall logistics cost is most urgent subject. One of the methods to make a domestic transportation system efficient is the consolidation. In this paper. we try to compare the consolidated transportation model for a cost reduction with individual case. We also analyze the efficiency of consolidated transportation using simulation program with Arena of System Modeling Company.

The objectives of this study were to compare alternative agri-food system among Korea, Japan, USA and Italy. This study explore the situation and its challenge of alternative agri-food system. Alternative agri-food system is movement against global agri-food system and food multinationalization. Four alternative agri-food system not only have something in common but also have something in difference. We tried to make clear the commons and differences. But many these ideas were useful in someways, but none could be used to explain everything. This study was the touchstone of Korea's alternative agri-food system. We introduced simplistic ideas and compared four alternative agri-food system. This study sparking renewed discussion about Korea's alternative agri-food system, namely, 'The domestic farm products are the best movement'.

The purpose of this study is to compare the status of high school science education in 1982 and 1986. The same questionaire was used for the survey of high school science education which was developed by Yu in 1982. The questionaires were responded by the principals. science head teachers. science teachers and students. The major findings are as followings: 1. The perception for the importance of science education has been declined. 2. The support for sciene science education has been reduced. 3. The entrance exanination for university or college is the serious bottleneck of high school science education. 4. It is very hard for science teachers to teach science as inquiry through the true experiment under the current situation of high school science education.

For Web System composed of a variety of hardware, software and network system, there is a wide difference in price, function and capacity. In addition, it is important to select the most suitable system when web system is constructed as the claim of high-quality web service from user has increased. Data of bench-marking is usually employed when the system is selected. Evaluation with the result of bench-marking, however, is not easy at web situation composed of a variety of systems. In this paper, first integrated bench-marking of hardware, software and network system metric were determined, and the plan to effectively compare and evaluate the result of bench-marking by using fuzzy set were offered.

The demand of the care facilities for the elderly will be increased, because of the social changes which desire well organized medical treatment service. However, they have been illogically administrating such as preparing service at living space because of lacking places which provide living service. So the side of administration, it is necessary to have a security and improvement in that kind of needed place. The studies of elderly care facilities have been placing too much emphasis on the living space of the residential facilities and their welfare facilities compare with the service providing place which is ignored just as a part of the living space. This study focus on a situation of elderly care facilities and analyze a service space using in facilities, so it can be applied to service place plan for the future.

Recently, electric power system's situation grows gradually so Fault Diagnosis is being complicated and is felt difficult. And ability that operator who is using electric power system must do correct judgment of power system state, and can cope at fault of power system state is required. Therefore, large size power system is divided into predefined minimum module, and define each module accident type. We use and compare defined accident type, we can know easily accident that happen forward. Therefore, large size power system using module that is defined to each section common accident type search in this paper. And when accident in electric power system happens, I wish to explain about process that can do fault diagnosis in more easy and fast time, because using accident type that it is verified in front.

The outcomes of counts commonly occur in the area of disease mapping for mortality rates or disease rates. A Poisson distribution is usually assumed as a model of disease rates in conjunction with a gamma prior. The small area typically refers to a small geographical area or demographic group for which very little information is available from the sample surveys. Under this situation the model-based estimation is very popular, in which the auxiliary variables from various administrative sources are used. The empirical Bayes estimator under Poissongamma model has been considered with its accuracy measures. An accuracy measure using a bootstrap samples adjust the underestimation incurred by the posterior variance as an estimator of true mean squared error. We explain the suggested method through a practical dataset of hitters in baseball games. We also perform a Monte Carlo study to compare the accuracy measures of mean squared error.
