Korean footwear industry has experienced rapid growth and decline during last 30 years. The purpose of this paper is to analyse the main reason for the decline of Korean footwear industry by examining the process of technological learning which Korean footwear firms experienced during last 30 years of OEM. Before this analysis is done, innovation patterns of world footwear industry is sketched to compare with those of Korean footwear industry. On the basis of the analysis on the reasons for decline, I suggest some policy recommendations.

Many direct integration methods have been developed for dynamic analysis of structures, In order to compare each other methods and give guideline for selecting a time increment the amplification matrix is constructed according to algorithm of each method and stability and accuracy analysis is done. Four story shear building under external excitations is analyzed by each method and the RMS errors of displacements of top floor and compared with each other.

We provide a local convergence analysis for Secant-like algorithm for solving nonsmooth variational inclusions in Banach spaces. An existence-convergence theorem and an improvement of the ratio of convergence of this algorithm are given under center-conditioned divided difference and Aubin's continuity concept. Our result compare favorably with related obtained in [16].

This paper is based on a belief that, it is the simplest and best way measuring intangibles and knowledge assets on a monetary base, although there are many efforts to measure it. We analysis and compare with accounting, appraisal and valuation standards on Korean, USA and global level each. We conclude that valuation is appropriate for intangibles and knowledge assets, but we should check the standards of valuation on a social base in Korea.

This study is numerical procedure of strengthening capacity in a field structure and compare analysis data with test data. Recently, many strengthening methods are developed and used to rehabilitate existing structure. However, both theoretical background and applying techniques are not established yet. One of the most popular method is plate bonding method using either steel plate or carbon plate. This theoretical background and applying techniques are very important and those applications are differed when applied in field strengthening cases. Also depending on the analysis out come, displacement increased based n the condition of members while reaching ultimate load or failure load.

The purpose of this case study is to demonstrate database-marketing management. First, we explore original variables for insurance customer's data, modify them if necessary, and go through variable selection process before analysis. Then, we develop churn prediction models using logistic regression, neural network and SVM analysis. We also compare these three data mining models in terms of misclassification rate.

There are representative two performance evaluation methods for performance-based design(PBD) of reinforced concrete structures by the nonlinear static analysis, one method includes the capacity spectrum method(CSM) suggested in ATC-40(996) and the other is the displacement coefficient method(DCM) in FEMA-273(1997). The objective of this paper is to compare and verify two methods and suggest the displacement-based design for new performance evaluation of reinforced concrete structures.

S(Synchronous)-CDMA is a new cable modem technology applicable to the upstream channel for high speed multimedia communication using CATV networks. In this paper we analyze the transmitting and receiving process of S-CDMA scheme based on Terayon patent and derive bit error probability of S-CDMA and TDMA scheme in the $\varepsilon$-mixture impulse noise model which appropriately reflects impulse noise characteristics of upstream channel by using various parameters. This analysis results are a good match with the simulation results. We also compare Eb/No gain performance of S-CDMA with TDMA in 16, 32, 64, QAM.

The analysis on the relationships among SPI models and restructuring SPI models according to a common framework makes it possible to compare and integrate the numerous research results about the models. It also makes it possible to assess objectively and accurately the results and benefits of evaluating an organization which has been evaluated according to a partial SPI model according to a new and integrated SPI model.

This paper proposes a method for estimating unbalance in electric railroad system PSCAD/EMTDC models for voltage unbalance analysis of electric railroad system that transfer electric power through Scott transformer from KEPCO's 154kV transmission line are developed. In order to verify model's validity, we compare simulation results with simple calculation results.
