  • Currently, there has been a special practical program in Transmission for developing country(Southeast Asia, China and the Middle East) in KEPCO..And it will enhance the value of KEPCO by having highly competitive practical programs compare to other electric power company in developed countries. In this program, we focused on actual affairs to help engineers become experienced and all lecturers-experts in practical work-are giving the know-how of technique and skill..This program consists of 16 courses(Power system, Transmission construction and maintenance )which is designed for customers own needs. Therefore anyone can make the order of the course as they need. This program has contributed much to the growth of the company and helped to achieve a world-wide reputation. Also foreign aid project created a KEPCO image which will enjoy the nation's love and confidence. Through this course we can increase our international competeitivenessand and will have a chance to start a business that has a future in Northwest Africa.

  • Most of small-to-medium sized companies use computer to manage and control their manufacturing system. However, it is real hard to find a company which uses the system properly. There are several reasons. First of all, appropriate software to satisfy user's needs is not available and there is lack of mind to computerize. Therefore, this paper focuses to show difficulties which they will encounter, develop a model of computerized production management system and define proper level of computerization. An experimental system has been developed for an auto-parts manufacturing company using IBM-PC in the environment of MS-DOS and CA-Clipper.

  • The domestic food industry intends to expand overseas market. In order to succeed, in-depth research on local consumers is essential. This paper examined consumer research methodology and case studies based on sensory and consumer science for developing products targeting overseas market. Consumer research should be prece ded by overseas consumer panel construction. Then, this can be followed by application of various consumer research methodologies on new product development process. The most important consideration in this case is that application of same research methods or criteria as for domestic market could lead to significant errors in terms of reliability of results. Therefore, in order to develop successful products that accurately meet the needs of overseas consumers, careful study and consideration of the differences between markets would be essential from consumer researcher and decision-maker's sides.

  • ERP system is a good one because it provides required data to the Board of Directors at the right time, but needs to collect many data in this system. Nevertheless, increase in data leads to the system's quality deterioration which makes companies to carry out quality improvement. In order to solve quality deterioration problem, a company's quality improvement director must execute under acknowledgement of the relationships between sectors to be improved, which are DBMS, Application, System, Data Management, Archiving, and Reorganization. But in many cases, these relationships are ignored due to massive size of each of the sectors, resulting fragmental quality improvement operation. This case paper proposes a solution to effectively solve quality deterioration problem created by the massive data produced while operating ERP System(constructed by SAP package and web). First, it defines the sectors where quality improvements are vital, and lists out things to be considered. Then, by analysing the working process of these sectors, proposes the most efficient order of the improvement process. This case will eventually help the company's quality improvement director to execute quality improvement most effectively without trials and errors, which is this paper's ultimate goal.

  • In order to carry out TQM and 6 Sigma management, it is the key elements to make clear a goal and a mission. Above all, we can succeed In achieving a dramatic change and a great outcome only when we make clear the method, incentives, organization and plans under the clear objective. In order to secure the competitiveness against the external challenge, it is essential to keep the several crucial factors such as CEO's will, the systematic process to measure and manage, monitoring to satisfy customer's needs and an aggressive development of TQM activity to encourage the endeavour of the relentless enhancement, and also a positive effort Is to be made for evaluating all quality culture like training experts internally by an outstanding training program under CEO's firm leadership. This study is carried out to understand that which features and factors of success can exist in a company culture if a company accepts a theoretical basis and concept, the general of TQM and 6 Sigma which are one of a management strategy, and carries out TQM and 6 Sigma for achieving improvement of quality and customer's satisfaction.

  • A study of improvement of printing accuracy of special PCB has been carried out by applying the corrected data of laminate dimensional variation to real products. The result of this study improved the accuracy of product by decreasing the deviation between design specifications and end products. This paper will be useful when PCB manufacturers using paper phenol laminates make preparation for customer's needs, more complicated specifications. And so, it will be successful for image renovation of any company by assuring the reliabilities to customers.

Pricing Strategy within the U.S. Streaming Services Market: A Focus on Netflix's Price Plans

  • Online streaming wars are intensifying. Netflix is known as the market leader in the streaming business. However, since 2019, Netflix has been losing subscribers in the United States and is at a turning point where it needs to reassess its current position in the market. While Netflix is losing dominance, rivals Amazon Prime and Hulu continue to gain market shares. Studies from Deloitte and PricewaterhouseCoopers indicated a new shift in the streaming landscape caused by the abundance of streaming options and rising subscription costs. Recent surveys showed that consumers are excited about new streaming services, such as Disney +. Nearly two-thirds of consumers intend to terminate or downgrade one or more of their current subscriptions to make room for a new service. Moreover, it seems that consumers want ad-supported options. In Deloitte's latest Digital Media Trends survey, 65% responded that they would watch ads to eliminate or reduce subscription costs. Seventy percent of Hulu's subscribers choose its lower-priced ad-supported plan. NBC recently launched its own streaming service, Peacock, with a free ad-supported option. This opposes Netflix's brand identity of "no ads" and premium differentiation. With increasing pressure from competition and the growing risk of subscriber loss, Netflix needs to diversify its price plans. The company could try implementing the lower-priced mobile-only plan they are currently testing or plan to test in other regions. Netflix should also consider features or benefits for loyal subscribers to maintain a stronger consumer base.

  • PLM(Product Lifecycle Management) is one of innovative manufacturing paradigms which leverages e-business technologies to allow a company's product content to be developed and integrated with all company business process through the extended enterprise. In these days, most construction companies also make an effort to enhance their systems for creating, sharing and managing information to improve business efficiency through entire lifecycle of project execution. Because of different needs, business process and diverse engineering activities such as design, structural analysis, installing simulation, documents and data managements, a new paradigm for construction companies is needed to manage and share the entire workflow, and information in total project lifecycle. In this paper, we conducted user requirement and business process analysis of the construction to design architecture of C-PLM(Construction Project Lifecycle management) and implement a prototype of C-PLM systems based on commercial PDM system.

Economic Analysis for Packaged Software Adoption : Considering the Number of Concurrent Users (동시 사용자수를 고려한 패키지 소프트웨어 구매에 관한 경제성 분석)

  • When your company buys packaged software, the company needs to determine how many software licenses must be purchased. If the quantity is too small, it will be not enough for the users to access the programs at anytime within the company. Conversely, if the quantity is too large, they will waste a lot of money. In this paper, we surveyed several number of researchers of K institute and derived the using pattern of a specific packaged software. We estimated a proper number of packaged software licenses by Erlang Loss Function, the Engset Model, and simulation model. With the results of the three methodologies, we were able to empirically verify economic benefits of packaged software purchase by comparing NPV (Net Present Value) between user licenses and network licenses. Consequently, TCO of user licenses is much higher than that of network licenses. We had probabilistically calculated proper number of licenses based on the using pattern of users. Hence, this paper will be useful for decision makers who are going to determine package software's type and quantity from an economic perspective.

The essence of identity program is to establish the corporate Image from dispersion to integral ion through design. There is no doubt that identity design became an inevitable necessity as a market In tool . The circumstance of corporate identity, however , has been changed since the revolution of telecommunication by computer which had an important effect upon today's market The development of computer communication allows people with different taste to achieve their needs from var ious kinds of information. Today's market is shitting from uniformity to diversity It is more difficult to create a corporate Image through conventional method. To meet the challenges of today's market, the communication of corporate identity will ultimately reflect the complexity of the market by adapting the flexible conoept of identity design. The level of flexibility in identity system should be determined depending on the management and market Eng strategy. Flexible Identity System (FIS) would be the best solution for some cases such as; a company with various fields, a company with sensitivity to the contemporary trend, and a company with an emotional appeal to consumers. FIS, with the capacity of a chameleon, can not only adopt the various circumstantial flanges, but also maintain the up-to-date corporate image .
