The efficiency of fabrication (fab) operation is one of the key factors in order for a semiconductor manufacturing company to stay competitive. Optimization of manpower and forecasting manpower needs in a modern fab is an essential part of the future strategic planing and a very important to the operational efficiency. As the semiconductor manufacturing technology has entered the 8-inch wafer era, the complexity of fab operation increases with the increase of wafer size. The wafer handling method has evolved from manual mode in 6-inch wafer fab to semi-automated or fully automated factory in 8-inch and 12-inch wafer fab. The distribution of manpower requirement in each specialty varied as the trend of fab operation goes for downsizing manpower with automation and outsourcing maintenance work. This paper is to study the specialty distribution of manpower from the requirement in a typical 6-inch, 8-inch to 12-inch wafer fab. The human resource planning in today’s fab operation shall consider many factors, which include the stability of technical talents. This empirical study mainly focuses on the human resource planning, the manpower distribution of specialty structure and the forecast model of internal demand/supply in current semiconductor manufacturing company. Considering the market fluctuation with the demand of varied products and the advance in process technology, the study is to design a headcount forecast model based on current manpower planning for direct labour (DL) and indirect labour (IDL) in Taiwan’s fab. The model can be used to forecast the future manpower requirement on each specialty for the strategic planning of human resource to serve the development of the industry.
Purpose: Marketing communication with customers is essential for companies to survive and grow in a fiercely competitive environment. Advertising is one of the most readily accepted marketing communications by consumers. Unlike a company that owns a distribution network, advertising is vital for a franchise. In general, many advertising models select celebrities. Celebrities are more likely to attract audience attention and influence consumers' purchase intentions. Customers satisfied with advertising are more likely to stay loyal and buy again when the company launches a new product. In addition, customers form a brand image through advertisements. Therefore, in this study, the effect of the characteristics of the foodservice franchise advertising model characteristics on model satisfaction, brand image, and purchase intention. Research design, data, and methodology: The survey of this study was conducted among consumers over the age of 20 who had seen a restaurant franchise advertisement and visited a store within the last 2 months. 305 copies were collected for 7 days during the survey period, from October 21 to October 27, 2021. Among the collected questionnaires, 12 insincere questionnaires were excluded, and 293 were used for analysis. SPSS 25.0 and Smart PLS 3.0 were used as data collected to test the hypothesis. Result: As a result of the study, among the advertising model characteristics of a foodservice franchise, reliability, attractiveness, expertise, and closeness all had a significant positive (+) effect on model satisfaction. In addition, reliability and closeness were found to have a significantly positive (+) effect on brand satisfaction, but attractive and expertise did not significantly affect brand image. Finally, model satisfaction was found to have a significant positive (+) effect on brand image and purchase intention. Brand image also appeared to have a significant positive effect on purchase intention. Conclusions: Research Results First, this study verified the effect of a restaurant franchise advertising model using celebrities by using the characteristics of the advertising model. Second, this study developed a conceptual structure for model characteristics - model satisfaction - brand image - purchase intention. Third, the restaurant franchise marketer needs to select a model in consideration of the privacy of the advertising model. Fourth, consumers tend to equate advertising models with advertising
Purpose - This study focuses on the effectiveness of the athlete endorsement on the purchase intention of customers and investigates the attributes of the athlete identification. The Athlete Identification is defined by the expertise, trustworthiness, attractiveness, toughness and transgression. Athlete identification and athlete endorsement help marketers with a thorough look at the trend of using famous sports player to promote products. Research design and methodology - 450 questionnaires were delivered to respondents in Ho Chi Minh city and 433 were returned completed. Descriptive statistics, reliability, exploratory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis and structural equation modeling were conducted to test the relationship between independent and dependent variables. Results - The expertise, trustworthiness, attractiveness and toughness exert positive impacts on athlete identification. Transgression affects negatively athlete identification and athlete endorsement. This research confirmed results of previous studies. Conclusions - The athlete first needs to create their own Identification from a set of attributes in order to be out-standing in the sport and leisure industry before becoming an endorser for a particular product. From the company's perspectives, decision makers should choose an acclaimed sports player to boost the purchase intention of consumers.

The mobile customer center is one of major customer service channels to gain company's competitive advantage, to establish new correlations between customers and service value, and to respond quickly to customer needs. This study attempted to investigate the effect of mobile customer center's quality on customer satisfaction, trust, and loyalty. For this purpose, we divided quality factors of mobile customer center into mobile service quality and content quality, and then empirically analyzed their impact on customer satisfaction, customer trust, and loyalty. The research result showed mobile service quality and content quality having significant association with customer satisfaction and trust. Moreover, customer satisfaction and trust were closely related to customer loyalty. However, there was no significant difference in the factors affecting customer satisfaction and trust according to the levels of personal innovativeness. It is hoped that this study provides academic foundations for further research on mobile customer center and serves as a useful guideline for operating customer service channels successfully.

Objective: The purpose of this study is to examine the competitive environment of 7-Eleven using Porter's 5 Force model to analyze the specific competitiveness of 7-Eleven that has maintained continuous growth as a competitive company. Methods: This study is a case study of 7-Eleven. Results: As a result of the analysis, 7-Eleven has reinforced its competitiveness with existing competitors by raising entry barriers by expanding domestic stores and developing overseas convenience store business, focusing on North America, based on economy of scale. In addition, 7-Eleven seeks to differentiate itself from other convenience stores by developing a "private brand" and strengthens its bargaining power with suppliers through the development of new products by gathering information and know-how of experts in product development based on customer needs. The bargaining power with customers has been strengthened by building loyalty and trust in the brand by allowing consumers to purchase the same products at the same price no matter which store they visit. As a threat to potential competitors, 7-Eleven has secured a competition advantage by raising the barrier to entry by concentrating stores in specific areas through a dominant franchise development strategy and increasing awareness of 7-Eleven among consumers. In the case of threats from substitute products, it was confirmed that 7-Eleven has overcome the threat from substitute products by opening 24 hours a day and providing various services such as ATMs and copiers.
It has been assumed that the clarification of a message is a necessary element for successful communication. However, in the today's complicated and changing environment of business marketing media, it is shown that the clarification of the message of advertisement may inhibit the effectiveness of communication. This study was to examine what was effective communication in advertisement when the company, provoking the people's negative emotional response, needs to establish new identities such as the goals and the special fields of business. In particular, the study was to investigate what effect the advertising strategy of strategically emitting ambiguous messages makes on the consumer's recognition, emotional attitude, reliability, and attitude towards the company. It was hypothesized that an ambiguous message in an advertisement has an effect on the consumer's recognition, emotional attitude, reliability, and attitude towards the company. Three texts from the 'Imagination Praises' campaign of KT&G which has been in process since 2003 were systematically sampled and the survey was performed by the means of questionnaires made on the sample The results showed that the ambiguous message of advertising texts gained better responses on the consumer's attention, good impression, affirmation, memory, sympathy than the dear message and that the ambiguous message had an effect on the consumer's attitude towards the advertisement itself. Thus, it could be tentatively concluded that the ambiguous message could be more effective in recognition and recall to promote the changes of identities of the company having the people's unfavorable emotion. But there wasn't any evidence that an ambiguous message in an advertisement was more effective in terms of the consumer's emotional response, reliability, and attitude towards the company. From this, it could be inferred that the receiver had an uncomfortable, doubtful and negative attitude about the implicit expressive code contained in the message. In the future deeper qualitative studies can compensate for the limited explanation of this empirical study focused on statistical analyses.
The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of the locomotion orientation on salespeople' sales performance with the mediating effect of selling behavior(adaptive selling behavior, SOCO). And we figure out the relationship between customer-oriented selling behavior and adaptive selling behavior because those relationships are not clear. The authors infer research hypotheses based on literature review. We have confirmed the reliability and validity test and those results can be acceptable. Hypotheses test were conducted with structural equation modeling, AMOS. All paths in the research model reasoned by authors have been supported statistically at the significant level. This study with the theoretical implications is as follows. First, this study is the first attempt to investigate the path between locomotion orientation and adaptive selling behavior and SOCO. Secondly, there is an empirical conflict between our study and Franke and Park(2006)'s study. Our study was contradictory to Franke and Park(2006)'s consequences. And so, figuring out clearly those causal paths remains. This study with practical implications are as follows. First of all, the salespeople' selling performance was affected by adaptive selling behavior, customer-oriented selling behavior, and sales-oriented activities, such as the importance of selling behavior once again proven. It is necessary to enhance the capabilities that can be transformed into action appropriate to the needs of customers each sales step-by-step in the process of salespeople for various system through education and incentives, and to interact with customers and understand their customers relative to salespeople will. In order to enhance adaptive selling behavior, the company needs to do educational program and monitoring system with the positional promotion when salespeople get the high adaptive selling behavior. Secondly, the locomotion orientation of the salespeople is to cause this selling behavior. Management style to increase locomotion orientation is needed, which means, salespeople' superior about something should be conducted. In order to stimulate the selling behavior of the salespeople, most supervisors should use some managerial tools such as feedback, engagement, and rewards.

Occupational health and safety (OHS) is a broad field of professional practice, which involves specialists from different disciplines including but not limited to engineers, occupational health physicians, physical and biological scientists, economists, and statisticians. The preventive systems required to ensure workers are protected from injuries and illnesses dwell heavily on engineers; however, the extent to which the engineer can go regarding planning and implementing preventive measures is dependent on specific legal requirements, leadership commitment from the company, organization, and nation. The objective of this paper is to identify the areas of opportunities for improvements in OHS management in Ghana with regard to the nation's legal requirements, commitment of the Ghana government, and Ghanaian leadership as well as appropriate structuring of Ghanaian institutions responsible for monitoring and managing OHS in Ghana. This paper identified Ghana's fragmented legal requirements concerning OHS, which are under different jurisdictions with unclear responsibilities and accountabilities. The paper also highlights the training needs of Ghanaian academic institutions regarding OHS. Among other recommendations made including structuring of Ghanaian institutions to manage OHS in line with the ILO-OSH 2001, this paper aligns the recommendations with the articles and elements of International Labour Organization convention number 155 and OHSAS 18001 elements.
With signs of the redevelopment of the domestic sewing industry, national support agencies were established. This study aims to assess the present conditions of the domestic sewing industry and investigate the effectiveness of national sewing industry support policies. According to the results of a survey of 30 sewing companies managers, the biggest factor causing product defects was work being rushed because of tight delivery dates, and the reduction in sales was caused by a lack of orders. Moreover, sewing technicians are aging, and the biggest reason for their decrease in number is that people do not pursue the job because of the common understanding that it is difficult. Managers perceived that the government's sewing technician training program was not a practical help. They were well aware of the support program to improve the work environment and the sewing equipment support program and showed high satisfaction with these programs, but they complained that the period for equipment rental was fixed. A majority of them thought that the Korean sewing industry environment had still not improved, and were skeptical about its future outlook. They identified its most urgent needs as the expansion of orders and the securing of manpower. The support programs that they wanted urgently included support for employees' four major public insurances and the enactment of the increase of toll processing fees.
Traditional cost system is distorted due to the using unit-based measure. It is being criticized that it do a poor job of attributing the expenses of support resources to the production and sales of individual product. Activity Based Cost System expend the range of second-stage cost assignment drivers beyond the traditional measures of labor and machine times, units produced, and material quantities to allow for drivers that measure the amount of batch-level, product-sustaining, and facility-sustaining activities performed. It is a resources consumption model of organization, not just a more complex cost accounting of cost allocation system. This paper proposes a enterprise resource planning by activity based management. To effective performance system for company that want to be setting competitive levels, the information systems must support a fast moving, rapidly changing. Activity based management is a process of accumulating and tracing cost and performance da to a firm's activities and providing feedback of actual results against the planned cost to initiate corrective action where required. Therefore this system provides a highly powerful decision-making tool. To construct this system, we need Enterprise Resource Planning System. Since ERP is designed around the idea that rapid change and a degree of unhandled change is normal, it allows driving the customer's rapidly needs much deeper through the business cycle.
