  • In the single-input and single-output system, the parameter of plant is scalar polynomial, but in the multiple input and multiple output, it accompanies, being matrix polynomial, the consideration of observable conrolability index or problems of non-commutation in matrix polynomial as well as degree, and it is more complex to deal with. Therefore, it is thought that a full reserach on the single-input and single-output system is not made. This reserach propose that problems of minimum variance self-tuning regulator of multivariable system and pole placement self-tuning regulator.

  • In this paper. a noble dead time minimization algorithm is presented for reducing the switching losses. Firstly, the effects of the inverter dead time are examined, Secondly the principle of the proposed algorithm is explained with the commutation conditions. And the validity of the proposed algorithm is verified by simulation results. We can conclude from the results that the proposed algorithm have a virtue which is able to reducing the hamonics in the output voltages and which make the output voltage equal to the reference vlaue. Another merit is this method can reduce the number of inverter switchings.

  • A new soft switched active snubber circuit is proposed to achieve zero voltage and zero current switching for all the switching devices in PWM DC-DC converters. The unique location of the snubber capacitor and inductor ensures low current/voltage stresses and commutation losses. With a saturable reactor, the conduction loss of the auxiliary switch could be further minimized. A boost converter adopting this technique is presented as an example, to illuminate its operation principles and derive the design procedures. Simulation and hardware implementation have been made to validate its performance. Some other basic PWM DC-DC topologies using the proposed snubber have also been given.

  • A quantum-mechanical harmonic oscillator undergoes continuous amplitude fluctuation even in its ground state. This fluctuation, also known as the vacuum fluctuation, arises from the nonvanishing commutation .elation, [${\alpha}$, ${\alpha}$$\^$+/] = 1, where ${\alpha}$(${\alpha}$$\^$+/) is the annihilation (creation) operate. of the harmonic oscillator, One can make, however, the fluctuation of one quadrature amplitude decrease below the vacuum-state (or the coherent state) level at the cost of that of the other quadrature. • This paper deals with the slip power recovery system using switch mode converter in the inverter DC side, which recovers slip power of induction machine to AC line with the aid of the boost converter. As a results, the motor speed can be controlled by the duty ratio of boost switch, not by inverter firing angle. This results that the reactive power produced by phase controlled inverter and diode rectifier can be greatly reduced and linear speed regulation can be obtained. Moreover, the harmonic components of line current caused by the commutation in inverter and rectifier can be considerably suppressed. Therefore, most of the problems in conventional system can be solved.

  • This paper proposes a new type of voltage sag-swell compensator based on a Z-source AC-AC converter. The proposed topology employs a pulse width modulation (PWM) Z-source AC-AC converter along with a injection transformer. A safe commutation strategy is used to eliminate voltage spikes on switches without snubber circuit. During a voltage sag or swell, the proposed system controls the adding or missing voltage and maintains the rated voltage of sinusoidal waveform at the terminals of the critical loads. The proposed system is able to compensate 20[%] voltage swell and is also able to compensate 60[%] voltage sag. In order to control and detect the voltage sag and swell, the peak voltage detection method is applied. Also, the operating principles of the proposed system are described, and a circuit analysis is provided. Finally, PSIM simulation and experimental results are presented to verify the proposed concept and theoretical analysis.

  • In this paper, an advanced torque control scheme of Switched Reluctance Motor(SRM) using modified non-linear logical TSF (Torque Sharing Function) with PWM is presented. In the proposed control scheme, a simple calculation of PWM duty ratio and switching rules from DITC(Direct Instantaneous Torque Control) can reduce the torque ripple with fixed switching frequency. The proposed control scheme is verified by the computer simulations and experimental results.

  • This paper proposes a unity power factor ZVT PWM single-phase rectifier. The ZVT soft switching are achieved by using a simple ZVT circuit, and the reduced conduction losses are achieved by employing a single-stage converter, instead of a typical double-stage converter composed of front end diode rectifier and cascaded boost rectifier. Furthermore, thanks to good features such as simple PWM control at constant frequency, low switch stress and low VAR rating of commutation circuits, it is suitable for high power applications. The principle of operation is explained in detail, and simulation results of the new converter are also included.

  • This paper describes the design, construction and implementation of matrix converter based on space vector modulation technique. The matrix converter provides sinusoidal input and output wave forms, bidirectional power flow, controllable input power factor and a compact design, compared to the VSI with diode rectification stage at the input. The implemented prototype of matrix converter is built using the exclusive IGBT module and has an input filter, overvoltage protection circuit and commutation means for overcoming practical issues. The good results tested using an induction motor are also presented.

  • A high-performance rectifier is introduced in this study. The proposed rectifier combines the conventional pulse width modulation, soft commutation, and instantaneously average line current control techniques to promote circuit performance. The voltage stresses of the main switches in the rectifier are lower than those in conventional rectifier topologies. Moreover, conduction losses of switches in the rectifier are certainly lower than those in conventional rectifier topologies because the power current flow path when the main switches are turned on includes two main power semiconductors and the power current flow path when the main switches are turned off includes one main power semiconductor. The rectifier also adopts a ZCS-PWM auxiliary circuit to derive the ZCS function for power semiconductors. Thus, the problem of switching losses and EMI can be improved. In the control strategy, the controller uses the average current control mode to achieve fixed-frequency current control with stability and low distortion. A prototype has been implemented in the laboratory to verify circuit theory.
