  • Flow aggregation is a scalable method to provide quality of service (QoS) guarantees to a large number of flows economically. A round-robin scheduler is an efficient scheduling algorithm. We investigate flow aggregation using a round-robin scheduler and propose the use of periodic timer interrupts for rate control of the round-robin scheduler. The proposed flow aggregator is a single-stage scheduler compared to Cobb's two-stage flow aggregator consisting of an aggregator and non-aggregating scheduler. It is possible to implement flow aggregation in the existing routers with only a software upgrade. We also present a simulation study showing the delay behaviors of the proposed algorithm.

  • The purpose of this study is to suggest some policy and theoretical implications for the youth's internet game addiction by analyzing the moderating effects of social support in the relationship of Oiettolie propensity and game addiction behaviors. For the purpose of this study, this study set a research model about the causal relationships among the study variables by reviewing previous studies and surveyed high school students for this research. The analytical results of this study are the followings. First, lack of communication and impulsivity have significant influences on Oiettolie propensity. Second, Oiettolie propensity has a significant influence on youth's game addiction. Third, social support moderates the relationship between Oiettolie propensity and youth's internet game addition. This study suggests some implications for the youth internet game addiction.

  • Objectives : The purpose of this study is to report a case showed some clinical improvement in treating child aphasia with oriental medicine. Methods : The patient had some problems in communication, intelligence and behaviors due to aphasia after brain injury caused by epilepsy. We treated the patient with herbal medicine(Yangsintangkamibang), acupuncture, verbal remediation and intelligence-learning treatment. We observed the clinical progress of aphasia and evaluated the case with PRES. Results : Oriental medical treatment alleviated patient's symptoms of aphasia and PRES was also improved. Conclusions : This study shows oriental medicine can be a meaningful treatment for child aphasia, and more studies for oriental medical treatment for child aphasia is needed.

  • This study aims to understand the antecedents and consequences of flow experience in online movie information sharing behavior of young Chinese moviegoers residing in Korea to explore a potential market. We followed the Stimulus-Organism-Response (S-O-R) theory and flow theory approaches for developing measures of constructs and investigated previous related studies. This study collected 186 data from Chinses students who attend Korean university. Statistical analysis revealed that information seeking behavior and telepresence are related to online flow experience. In addition, the online flow experience affected consumer satisfaction and information sharing behavior. Flow experience also has been predicted the mediation effect between stimulus information seeking behavior, telepresence and satisfaction and information sharing behavior. Our research findings offer insights for marketers in the movie distribution business who are interested in a better understanding of the behaviors of Chinese moviegoers residing in Korea

  • Recently, with the development of advanced thin film devices comes the need for constant high quality vacuum as the deposition pressure is more demanding. It is for this reason our research seeks to understand how the variable design factors are employed in such vacuum systems. In this study, the effects of design factor applications on the vacuum characteristics were simulated to obtain the optimum design modeling of variable models on an ultra high vacuum system. The commercial vacuum system simulator, $VacSim^{(multi)}$, was used in our investigation. The reliability of the employed simulator was verified by the simulation of the commercially available models of ultra high vacuum system. Simulated vacuum characteristics of the proposed modeling aligned with the observed experimental behavior of real systems. Simulated behaviors showed the optimum design models for the ideal conditions to achieve optimal pressure, pumping speed, and compression ratio in these systems.

  • This article reviewed the research on factors associated with marital quality and stability. Three major categories of factors were described, including background and context, individual traits and behaviors, and couple interactional processes. This review highlighted findings from cross-sectional and longitudinal studies of the prediction of marital quality and stability. Particular attention was given to marital instruments and procedures that had a solid empirical foundation for understanding the concepts related to measure of marital quality and stability. Also, empirically based intervention programs that had been designed to prevent marital distress and divorce were investigated to figure out the relationship between communication factors and conflict resolution styles. Finally, three theoretical frameworks were drawn from empirical literatures, marital measurment instruments, and programs for marital strength to predict factors associated with the marital quality and stability. Recommendations for future research and implications were described.

  • Threat is one special type of communication whereby one conveys opinion, knowledge, or attitude to another with an intention to influence and modify the latter's opinion or behavior. This research aims at identifying the antecedents and the effectiveness of threats applied in the process of purchasing decision-making. The research model integrates constructs derived from the literature of diverse discipline. The framework suggested explains the relative effects of threats, is tested empirically to verify the impacts on the influenced target's opinions and behaviors in buying centers. Data are collected from CAPM's members in Taiwan, and 208 respondents served as targets in the interpersonal relationships. LISREL findings indicate that threats are effective in winning a target's compliance. Additionally, influencing source's characteristics affect the choice of threats more strongly than target characteristics do. The relative ability of dependence on the source to cause manifest influence is even more significant than that of threats. Overall, the results of this study appear consistent with behavioral theories and research.

  • This study was analyzed for the relationship between the self-differentiation of the university students and Kinetic Family Drawings that was responded their mental aspect. Results of this study were following. First, the level of self-differentiation by sex, age, region and grade was significantly different. Second, Kinetic Family Drawings respondent characteristics by their sex, age, region, grade and sibling order was significantly different. Third, in the relationship between the self-differentiation of the university students and Kinetic Family Braving respondent characteristics, when the group had less conflict and more interaction among family members, they could separate their subjective and objective tension and they could attach to their parents. In the case that crisis was occurred in their family, they had less possibility to represent dysfunctional communication style or regressive behaviors.

  • This paper presents a software design simulation method for controlling multiple mechanism carrier system (MMCS), which is mainly used in a wrapping machine or a case packing machine. This method uses a mechanical tool-work interactive model proposed in this paper, in order to represent the interactive behaviors between some tools and a work driven by their tools, in which low effect states of a work are defined. Based on this method, a 3-D simulation system has been built. It consists of shape modeling of each device, behavior definitions of tools, and control logic using if-then expression. By applying it to a ase packing machine having about 30 mechanical devices and 100 inputs/outputs for control, the effectiveness of this method has been shown in general verification of control logic specification in an early software design phase and the possibility of smooth communication tool between mechanical and software designers.

  • As robots are no longer just working labors in the industrial fields, but stepping into the human's daily lives, interaction and communication between human and robot is becoming essential. For this social interaction with humans, emotion generation of a robot has become necessary, which is a result of very complicated process. Concept of mood has been considered in psychology society as a factor that effects on emotion generation, which is similar to emotion but not the same. In this paper, mood factors for robot considering not only the conditions of the robot itself but also the circumstances of the robot are listed, chosen and finally considered as elements defining a 2-dimensional mood space. Moreover, architecture that combines the proposed mood model and a emotion generation module is given at the end.
