The Effect of Role Ply by Animation on Young Children's Self-Concept (동화를 이용한 역할놀이가 유아의 자아개념 형성에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of children's role play by animatino on self-concept formation, The subjects of this study were 20 children of a kindergarten located in Gunpo City. the mean age were 5.5 years. Children were assigned to the study group and the control group. The children in the study group had role play of which the main themes were positive self-comcept formation but the children in control group did not have any role play by animation. The result showed 1. Role play by animation influenced on children's positive self-concept. 2. There was a difference in self-concept test score: The self-image attitude to the kindergatrten and attitude to the group of peer. Role play by animation influenced on the self-image and attitude to the group of peer. But attitude to the Kindergarten score was not increased significantly. 3. Role play by animation influenced on chikren's catharsis of emotion.

Implementation and Performance Analysis of a Speaker Verification System (화자 확인 시스템의 설계 제작 및 성능 분석)

  • This paper discusses issues on the disign and implementation of real-time automatic speaker verification system, as well as the performance analysis of the implemented system. The system employs TI's TMS320C25 digital signal processor TMS320C25 and high speed SRAMs. The system is designed to be used stand-alone as well as via hand-shaking with IBM-PC. The speech parameters used for speaker verification are PARCOR and LPC-cepstrum coefficients, and the employed decision logics are those based on the generalized weighted distance comcept. The implemented system showed the performance of 5.3% error rate for the PARCOR coefficient, and 4.7% error rate for the LPG-cepstrum coefficient.

  • We live in so called information society. The more the technology develops the move the impersonalization deepens and the privacy diminishes. Information society has many privercy, if dehumanization and information inequality. Most receuty, according to the development of varies technology and increase of the use of Computers the more information about private life of individual is stoked and filed by each authority and public services, and if information is leaked by neglignace of these institation the privacy is fallen into the great dange, the law for the positive protection of privacy must be prepared as soon as possible. Therefore the establishment of the comcept of privacy right is established. The legal base of constitutional guarantee, the Relief out of the intringement of ligialative must be explained. These thesis is defined, legal foeks is established.

  • The purpose of this study is to review the concept mapping tools and provide implications for designing tools that support collaborative learning activities. For this purpose, representative concept mapping tools - Convince Me, Knowledge Forum, Cmaptools, Mindmeister, Belvedere - was analyzed by using the 3C(Communication, Coordination, Cooperation) framework. We have applied three research methods; 1) literature review on design principles of tools, 2) heuristic evaluation, 3) focus group interview. As a result, most of comcept mapping tools supported communication functions but partialy supported coordication and cooperation features.

  • One of the prime objectives of school science is to help the children learn science concepts and conceptual schemes that will help them understand and interpret their environment. One of the basic scientific concepts is 'Change -everything existing in universe is changing always'. The purpose of this study was to investigate the characteristics of elementary and secondary students' conception of change. The subjects for this study were 489 students in Korea; 111 fourth graders, 95 sixth graders, 140 seventh graders and 143 ninth graders. Four items - mountain, river, ground, sea -were used for investigating students conception of change because representing the nature world in elementary and secondary level. The subjects were asked to check whether each item was changing and to explain each their check. Students' explanations were classified by whether they were sound understanding geologically, or not. The rate of responses that each item was changing was compared by grades and the rate of geological explanations was also compared by grades. Because students' conceptions of change might were effected by time scale, the additional questions that asked students whether the present status of four items were equivalent to the that of several points of time. As a result, the rate of scientific answers and patterns of explanations were similar by grade and the rate of geological understandings was relatively low. The frequencies of concept of change were more dropped as the point of time was closer to present.
