In this paper, we introduce q-sigmoid polynomials combining q-cosine function. We find several properties and identities of these polynomials which are related to sigmoid function using deep learning.

We propose simultaneous tests for mean and variance under the normality assumption. After formulating the null hypothesis and its alternative, we construct test statistics based on the individual p-values for the partial tests with combining functions and derive the null distributions for the combining functions. We then illustrate our procedure with industrial data and compare the efficiency among the combining functions with individual partial ones by obtaining empirical powers through a simulation study. A discussion then follows on the intersection-union test with a combining function and simultaneous confidence region as a simultaneous inference; in addition, we discuss weighted functions and applications to the statistical quality control. Finally we comment on nonparametric simultaneous tests.

Key stream generator consisting of several linear feedback shift registers with a nonlinear combining function have been applied in stream cipher system. Most of the papers until now have been focusing on correlation atack and analysis of key stream generator with nonlinear combining function. Given some part of key stream sequences. We can generate identical output sequences with original key stream sequences if the feedback connection and the maximum order of nonlinear combination function are known.

In this paper, the bit error rate (BER) performance of the fast frequency hopping/M-ary frequency shift keying system using the clipper receiver is analyzed by using the characteristic function (CF) technique in the presence of n=1 band multitone jamming and additive white Gaussian noise environment. The CFs of the clipper receiver outputs are derived as a infinite series representation using Gamma function and Marcum's Q -function. The analytical results are validated with various simulation results. Performance comparisons with linear combining receiver are shown that the BER performance of the clipper receiver is much better than that of the linear combining receiver In addition, as the clipping level approaches to infinity, it is shown that the clipper receiver simply performs a linear combining without clipping and there exists an optimum value of diversity level (the number of hops per symbol) that maximizes the worst case BER performance of the clipper receiver.

본 논문에서는 optimal Bayesian equalization solution인 RBF(radial basis function)를 이용한 등화기 (RE)의 구조를 보다 단순화하고, 비선형 왜곡 등의 심각한 정보 신호의 손상에 대한 보상 능력을 향상시키기 위하여 비선형 다층 결합을 갖는 RBF측 이용한 등화기(RNE)를 새로이 제안한다. 기존의 RE는 RBF로 구성된 은닉층의 출력 값을 선형 결합하여 등화기 출력을 얻는다. 이와 달리 새로이 제안하는 RNE는 기존의 RE에서 RBF로 구성된 은닉층의 출력 값에 대한 결합 기법으로 perceptron을 이용한 비선형 다층 결합을 사용한다. 제안한 equalizer를 결정궤환 방식이 있는 경우와 없는 경우의 등화기로 각각 구현한다. 실험 결과 제안한 등화기는 선형 간섭이 존재하는 디지털 통신 시스템과 비선형 왜곡이 존재하는 자기기록 시스템에서보다 간단한 구조로 기존의 optimal Bayesian 등화기와 거의 같거나 우수한 비트 오류 화률 성능 및 MSE(men squared error) 수렴 특성을 나타내었다.

The performance of dual diversity receivers operating over correlated Ricean fading channels is analyzed. Using a previously derived rapidly converging infinite series representation for the bivariate Ricean probability density function, analytical expressions for the statistics of dual-branch selection combining, maximal-ratio combining, and equal-gain combining output signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) are derived. These expressions are employed to obtain novel analytical formulae for the average output SNR, amount of fading, average bit error probability, and outage probability. The proposed mathematical analysis is used to study various novel performance evaluation results with parameters of interest the fading severity, average input SNRs, and the correlation coefficient. The series convergence rate is also examined verifying the fast convergence of the analytical expressions. The accuracy of most of the theoretical performance evaluation results are validated by means of computer simulations.

This paper considers the effects of simultaneous correlated multipath fading and shadowing on the performances of a signal-to-interference ratio (SIR)-based dual-branch selection combining (SC) diversity receiver. This analysis includes the presence of cochannel interference. A generalized fading/shadowing channel model in an interference-limited correlated fading environment is modeled by generalized-K distribution. Closed-form expressions are obtained for probability density function and cumulative distribution function of the SC output SIR, as well as for the outage probability. Based on this, the influence of various fading and shadowing parameter values and the correlation level on the outage probability is examined.

Combining the luminosity functions of main sequence stars in 3 associations and 22 open clusters, the initial luminosity function and mass function for these clusters are derived. For stars of m > $0.6m_{\odot}$, they are well consistent with those for the field stars.

In this study, we propose a nonparametric simultaneous test procedure for the location translation and scale parameters. We consider the Wilcoxon rank sum test for the location translation parameter and the Mood test for the scale parameter with the quadratic and maximal types of combining functions. Then we derive the limiting null distributions of the combining functions. We illustrate our procedure with an example and compare efficiency by obtaining the empirical powers through a simulation study. Finally, we discuss some interesting features related to the nonparametric simultaneous tests.

In this study, we propose a new nonparametric test procedure for the multivariate data. In order to accommodate the generalized alternatives for the multivariate case, we construct test statistics via-values with some useful combining functions. Then we illustrate our procedure with an example and compare efficiency among the combining functions through a simulation study. Finally we discuss some interesting features related with the new nonparametric test as concluding remarks.
