  • The effect of characteristic of mixture sowing combination on the development of botanical composition was conducted for 12 years on the meadow experiment. The results of this study were summarized as follows. 1. Festuca pratensis lost the expected position of a dominant species. Its vegetation ratio decreased gradually until the last survey year. 2. Arrhenatherum elatius, known as a typical 2-cutting grasss, developed to a dominant species only in the 3- cutting plot without limitation. 3. Alopecurus pratensis, whose feeding value diminishes rapidly, developed to a dominant species regardless of N-fertilization under the condition of 3-cutting, even though the same small amount of seeding was introduced as usual. 4. Trisetum flavescens which causes calcinose exceeded the 40% of vegetation ratio which was the approved rate for feeding at the high N-level (2OOKgIha). 5. Among the introduced, the species showed the significance in quantity were Lotus corniculafus solely in the 2-cutting plot, and Trifolium repens solely in the 3-cutting plot. In the 3-cutting plot legume yet remained under N-fertilization. 6. The appropriate ratio of vegetation for the subordinate species in the mixture sowing combination was easily attained from the least amount of seeding (Gramineae with max. 3Kg/ha, Leguminosae with max. 2kgIha). 7. Into the mixture sowing combination, infiltrated unintroduced species marked more noticeably in the 2- cutting plot than in the 3-cutting plot.

Prediction of the employment ratio by industry using constrainted forecast combination (제약하의 예측조합 방법을 활용한 산업별 고용비중 예측)

  • In this study, we predicted the employment ratio by the export industry using various machine learning methods and verified whether the prediction performance is improved by applying the constrained forecast combination method to these predicted values. In particular, the constrained forecast combination method is known to improve the prediction accuracy and stability by imposing the sum of predicted values' weights up to one. In addition, this study considered various variables affecting the employment ratio of each industry, and so we adopted recursive feature elimination method that allows efficient use of machine learning methods. As a result, the constrained forecast combination showed more accurate prediction performance than the predicted values of the machine learning methods, and in particular, the stability of the prediction performance of the constrained forecast combination was higher than that of other machine learning methods.

  • Wheat Doenjang was manufactured by mixing various ratio of the soymilk residue with wheat Koji. As the result, the content of reducing sugar was increased till 50 days and decreased thereafter during aging of the mash. As the combination ratio of soymilk residue was increased, the content of reducing sugar was decreased and amino nitrogen content was increased prominently till 50 days in all testing samples but thereafter the increasing ratio was slowdowned. At the beginning of the aging the content of the amino nitrogen was higher in the testing sample which had higher combination ratio of soymilk residue but at the end of the aging the result was reversed. The content of the total acids was increased prominently till 40 days but thereafter the increasing ratio was slowdowned, and in each testing samples the difference in total acid content was extremely slight. In the color of each testing samples aged 80 days as the combination ratio of soymilk residue was increased, the lightness was increased, and the redness was decreased but the yellowness was increased. From the result of sensory evaluation test of wheat Doenjang aged 90 days, soy sprout Doenjang soup showed the best taste in control and as the combination ratio of soymilk residue was increased, the taste was dropped slightly but no significant differences was obtained among the testing sample A,B and C but between control and testing sample D there was significant difference. In the original taste of Doenjang, the control was the best and as the combination ratio of soymilk residue increased, the point was dropped but there were no significant differences between control and testing sample A and testing sample B and C.

A Study on the Combination of Blowing Ratio and Injection Angle in 2-Dimensional Film Cooling (2차원 막냉각의 적정 분사비와 분사각도의 조합에 관한 연구)

  • To find the effective combinations of blowing ratio and injection angle for a straight slot film cooling, film cooling characteristics was investigated using both flow visualization experiment and numerical simulation. Injection angles from $15^{\circ}\;to\;50^{\circ}$ and blowing ratios from 0.2 to 3.0 were selected for the simulation. Comparison between experimental and numerical results shows a good agreement, for the case of the injection angle of $30^{\circ}$ and blowing ratio ranging from 0.55 to 2.0. Film cooling effectiveness was found to be an increasing function of blowing ratio. The effects of injection angle became prominent as the blowing ratio increases. An interesting phenomenon was found for the injection angle of $15^{\circ}$ : the lowest film cooling effectiveness for the blowing ratio smaller than 1.0, but the highest film cooling effectiveness for the blowing ratio greater than 2.0 within wide range of downstream region. There exist optimum injection angles corresponding to maximum film cooling effectiveness : injection angle of $25^{\circ}$ for the blowing ratio from 0.2 to 2.0, and injection angle of $15^{\circ}$ for the blowing ratio of 3.0. Present study provides a design combination among film cooling effectiveness, blowing ratio, and injection angle.

Genetic analysis of seed characters in parents and F1 hybrid of rice (벼의 종자특성에 대한 유전분석)

  • The study were performed genetic analysis for seed characters of 6 parents of rice cultivar and 15 $F_1$ hybrids. In terms of heritability, The highest value was observed in the character of No. of grains/spike. Second values was showed 1,000 grains weight and head rice ratio was high value than grain length and width. In an analysis of correlation relation of parent, significant positive coefficients were observed in head rice ratio and No. of grains/spike, grain length and 1,000 grains weight, but the negative coefficients were significantly revealed between grain length and No. of grains/spike. Phenotype coefficient was lowly observed in the relation of grain length and 1,000 grains weight, grain width and 1,000 grain weight that highly positive genetic coefficient was showed in an analysis of correlation relation of $F_1$. In terms of heterosis, highest value was showed 1,000 grains weight and second value was No. of grains per spike and 1,000 grains weight and second value was No. of grains per spike in terms of heterobeltiosis. In an analysis heterosis of among crossing combination, high ratio was observed 1st combination at seed length, 12th combination at seed width, 3rd combination at head rice ratio, 5th combination at 1,000 grains weight and 11th combination at No. of grains per spike.   • The data imbalance problem which can be uncounted in data mining classification problems typically means that there are more or less instances in a class than those in other classes. It causes low prediction accuracy of the minority class because classifiers tend to assign instances to major classes and ignore the minor class to reduce overall misclassification rate. In order to solve the data imbalance problem, there has been proposed a number of techniques based on resampling with replacement, adjusting decision thresholds, and adjusting the cost of the different classes. In this paper, we study the feasibility of the combination usage of the techniques previously proposed to deal with the data imbalance problem, and suggest a combination method using genetic algorithm to find the optimal combination ratio of the techniques. To improve the prediction accuracy of a minority class, we determine the combination ratio based on the F-value of the minority class as the fitness function of genetic algorithm. To compare the performance with those of single techniques and the matrix-style combination of random percentage, we performed experiments using four public datasets which has been generally used to compare the performance of methods for the data imbalance problem. From the results of experiments, we can find the usefulness of the proposed method.

Prediction on the Ratio of Added Value in Industry Using Forecasting Combination based on Machine Learning Method (머신러닝 기법 기반의 예측조합 방법을 활용한 산업 부가가치율 예측 연구)

  • This study predicts the ratio of added value, which represents the competitiveness of export industries in South Korea, using various machine learning techniques. To enhance the accuracy and stability of prediction, forecast combination technique was applied to predicted values of machine learning techniques. In particular, this study improved the efficiency of the prediction process by selecting key variables out of many variables using recursive feature elimination method and applying them to machine learning techniques. As a result, it was found that the predicted value by the forecast combination method was closer to the actual value than the predicted values of the machine learning techniques. In addition, the forecast combination method showed stable prediction results unlike volatile predicted values by machine learning techniques.

Influence of Dietary Conjugated Linoleic Acid and Its Combination with Flaxseed Oil or Fish Oil on Saturated Fatty Acid and n-3 to n-6 Fatty Acid Ratio in Broiler Chicken Meat

  • This study examined the effect of CLA, flaxseed oil and fish oil and their combination forms on crude fat of liver and fatty acid profiles of liver, breast and thigh meat in broiler chicks. A total of 72, 1-day-old Cobb broilers were assigned to 6 groups, and fed an experimental diet supplemented with 5 different fat sources; conjugated linoleic acid (2% CLA), flaxseed oil (2% FXO), fish oil (2% FHO), CLA and flaxseed oil combination (1:1; 2% CXO), and CLA and fish oil combination (1:1; 2% CHO). Eight birds per treatment were processed, and liver, breast and thigh samples were investigated at 21 d of age. As a result of this study, most fatty acids of liver, breast and thigh meat were influenced by fat sources supplemented in the diet (p<0.05). CLA addition resulted in an increase of crude fat and saturated fatty acid (SFA) content but a concomitant decrease in n-3 to n-6 fatty acid ratio was observed in liver (p<0.05). Moreover, the same trends of SFA and n-3 to n-6 fatty acid ratio were also observed in breast and thigh meats of birds fed CLA alone. In the CXO-fed group or CHO-fed group, n-3 and n-3 to n-6 fatty acid ratio in both breast and thigh meat increased compared with CLA group, while SFA content decreased (p<0.05). FHO fed-groups had the lowest proportion of n-6 fatty acid in both breast and thigh meats compared to other fat source treatments (p<0.05). In conclusion, the increased levels of crude fat and SFA in liver and meats obtained by feeding CLA could be reduced by its combination with FXO or FHO. In addition, the combination of CLA and FXO or FHO fed to broiler chicks could increase the n-3 to n-6 fatty acid ratio of their meat along with the deposition of CLA.

A Comparative of the Harmany of Tone on Tone Coloration according to Transformation of Color Area-Ratio in Shirt and Necktie (셔츠와 넥타이의 톤 온 톤 배색 면적비 변화에 따른 조화감 비교)

  • The purpose of this research was to compare the harmony of tone on tone coloration according to transformation of color area-ratio in shirt and necktie. The respondents were asked to evaluate 48 stimuli of the shirt and necktie with the coloration of the shirt/necktie, the necktie/shirt was separately compounded to be 4 tones such as vivid, light, dull, dark. The subjects were 288 female undergraduate students. The data was analyzed by using SPSS program. Analysis methods were ANOVA, LSD test and t-test. The results of each can be summerized as follows. As to the red, combination of v-lt made a difference in the harmony of coloration according to the transformation of color area-ratio. As to the blue, combination of v-lt, v-dk, lt-d made a difference in the harmony of coloration according to the transformation of color area-ratio. As to the purple, v-lt, v-d was evaluated as harmonized coloration regardless of area-ratio by both male and female students. As to the green, v-lt, lt-d was evaluated as harmonized coloration regardless of area-ratio by both male and female students.

Volume Optimization of a Combined System of LNT and SCR Catalysts Considering Economic Feasibility and De-NOx Performance

  • The purpose of the study is carried out volume optimization of a combined system consisting of an LNT and SCR catalysts from the standpoint of its economic feasibility and de-NOx performance. Under the rich air-fuel ratio conditions for 5s (${\Phi}$=1.1), CO, $H_2$ and THC were generated at levels of 4%, 1.2% and $110ppmC_1$, respectively. The NOx conversion of the 1+1 combination was 5% lower than that of the 1.5+0.5 combination, however the reduced volume of the LNT catalyst decreased the total cost by about 6%. Therefore, the optimal volume ratio of the LNT and SCR catalysts was found to be the 1+1 catalyst combination, which has the highest total score in the terms of an economic feasibility and the NOx performance.
