The purpose of this study is to classify the images of blue based on expressive values communicated by color on symbolic aspects and the blue images expressed in modem apparel fashion. Images of blue are classified through the document studies as follows : The expressive values of blue are cold, receding, and sedative. Based on these values, affimative images of blue are classified infinite, lofty, peaceful, tranquil and contemplate. Negative images are classified sad, indecent, rebellious, and indignant. In apparel fashion, blue acted as a important image factor in classic, workwear, military and marine look. Blue green and purple blue in pale, greyish and light tones were showed as trend color. Meanwhile, purple blues in dark greyish, pale and greyish tones were more used for domestic womens wear.
This study intends to observe how the essential elements of art have changed Human's sense of beauty extending over the whole lives as well as fashion through the investigation of Light and Rays which have played a important role in giving birthe to the new trend of art within the upheaval age of various cultures. The peculiarities of which Futurism of Italy and Rayonism of Russia including Impressionism have a great role in giving birth to a new trend of art by means of the development of science technology are like these. Impressionists looked for the origin of the subtle harmony in nature within changes of sun-rays. The special feature of Impressionism paintings was to express the line of vision diversely according to changes of light rather than to focus on the line of vision with clear outlines. Henceforth, Neo-Impressionism which developed Impressionism more systematically leaded changes of Light and Rays more systematically and scientifically and maintained Divisionnisme techniques which extends to lead towards color and light through dividing and juxtaposing color. In the early 20th century Futurists tried to express dynamism through the interpenetration of light and revive color and light through the division techniques of color and persist an artificial light like eletricity rather than a natural light. Rayonism of Russia which was ifluenced from Impressionism and Futurism maintained intersection of reflecting rays which emerges from an object of things more deeply. This pursuit of light and rays also light and rays also appears as it is in modern fashion. First, it is the fashion which applied sun-rays persisted by Impressionists and expressed colors which show differently according to direction of light. Second, it is the fashion design which re-analyzed what Futurists expressed artificial light and rays. Third, it is the design which expressed Divisionnisme theory persisted by Impressionists and Futurists into fashion as it is and was made of being divided the form of glittering light into small dots. Fourth, it is the fashion design which applied Rayonists'work which applied intersection of reflected rays. Like this, it is aproved that the pursuit of light and rays expresses as it is in modern fashion of the 21st.
The purpose of this study is to classify fashion lifestyle types for color planning and to propose color planning of spring & summer by fashion lifestyle by analyzing preferred colors by fashion lifestyle type. The survey was conducted on women between the ages of 30 and 59 using a separately prepared questionnaire and color sample table and also through one-on-one interviews. The results of this study are as follows. First, the participants' fashion lifestyles were divided into three categories: information individuality type, display type, and practicality type. Second, regarding basic colors: the basic color consistently used for a long time, it was found that there were significant differences in preferred hue and tone according to the types of fashion lifestyles. Specifically, the most preferred hue of all the fashion lifestyle types was achromatic color N and the most preferred tone was V. Third, regarding color trends: the trendy color occupying a market transiently, there were significant differences in preferred hue and preferred tone according to the types of fashion lifestyle. The most preferred hue of all the fashion lifestyle types was B. The most preferred tone of the information individuality type and the display type was V, and that of the practicality type was B. The study found that, in color planning, fashion lifestyles can function as an effective tool to subdivide consumers. Based on the empirical results of this study, I propose that color planning should be based on the type of fashion lifestyle.
Recently, as popular interest in costumes in Korean films and TV dramas has increased, traditional dress in works has re-evaluated with modern perspective of the Western color system. The results of this study can be summarized as follows. First, the traditional dress for women appeared in works after the 2000s has shown features similar in the use of red has appeared high. The high frequency of brown and pink, orange and purple used main colors in Western works. Also, what is the most prominent is the high frequency of use of achromatic colors. Second, the color harmonies of the East and the West have been done through color arrangement. The structure with more than 2-colors has been gradually changing into single or 2-colors, which give simple images to people. Third, in order to portray characters' diverse and psychological situations, Korean works have expressed the symbolisms of colors from the Western perspective. Though red symbolizes theory of Yin-Yang and Five-Elements, passion and authority since 2000 have used red to make main images. Also, pink is used as softness and pure images. Though works before the 2000s showed low frequency of the brown. The achromatic color that it has been applied to various parts. Recently black has been developing into a color symbolizing themes. Given the results from this study, it could be expected in future that the categories of color domains will be gradually extended as it is a trend for the traditional dress to escape from primary colors. On the other hand, achromatic colors that minimal and modern sensibility as well as basic color in fashion, especially the black, will increasingly extend ranges of utility or show a tendency of resolute changes.

Dynamic orphism images expressed with abstraction and construction in color are often found in modern fashion. Orphism stressing color is one of the many art trends that influence fashion. This work aims to examin its expressive effects and characteristics that appear in fashion and provide basic materials for fashion design study. This study proceeds with the following steps. First, the study takes on a theoretical examination of the orphism trend using a literature review. Second, based on its results, modern fashion's expressive features influenced by orphism are analyzed. Third, the study draws expression effects in modern fashion from these characteristics. The study coverage is confined to domestic and foreign collections released in the 21st century. The study contents come from an Internet-base domestic and international database and published material, including dissertations and books. Orphism expression effects are found in the following ways in modern fashion. First, it lies in the abstraction effect of color. This feature arrays flat geometric figure on the clothing surface and applies a strong sense of color inside it, as if color has an abstractive structured design. Second, it gives a dynamic sense visually to the clothes all at once by stressing the relation among and between the colors with powerful contrast. Third, it has a collage effect of color. This effect develops into an organic combination composed of geometric plane figures with intense complementary colors in a single piece of clothing. Expression types that presents the orphism effect in fashion are divided into clothing showing traditional orphism characteristics faithfully and clothing expressing conventional orphism characteristics mixed with modern trends. Further developed orphism fashion can be classified by the playful type, with graffiti added onto an orphism color structure, and the destructive type, where traditional orphism color orders are taken apart and reformed into a new color order.
Today, communication trend of financial brand has changed fast with more foreign financial brand's introduction, emerging financial brands through the openness. With the trend of changing, companies are introducing various marketing methods to differentiate its brand image. And color marketing becomes an important tool for the differentiation. However, except a few brands, brand color which expresses management character of a company is different from the customer's preferred color which is based on investors' investment tendency. This may be related to the brand Image which is final goal of communication. Therefore, this study suggests effective communication method between company and customers by analyzing preferred color of customers by their investment tendency and comparison analysis security firms' color marketing strategy. As a result, it was found that Roland Barthes symbolic meaning of colors is different from the symbolic meaning of the groups of investor tendency. For example, I assumed that aggressive investors preferred strong color like red or orange, but the survey result was far from my assumption. I hope this study can be a good foundation for logical and scientific marketing in communication between security companies and customers in more open market with introduction to the Capital Market Consolidation Act.
The purpose of the present study was to analyze the acceptance level of forecasted information of casual wear in tate 1990s in Korea and the way of utilizing fashion trends information by casual wear industries. The Present study was implemented by content analysis and descriptive survey using questionnaire and interview. Trends information in fashion journals published by fashion institute and articles in daily newspapers were analyzed in terms of fashion image, color, fabric, and silhouette. The data collected from questionnaire and interview with 113 fashion specialists were analyzed through frequency, percentage. The results indicated that among the forecasted information regarding fashion image, romantic and feminine images showed a high level of acceptance to national brand women's casual wear in the late 1990s, while mannish image showed a low level of acceptance. For men's casual wear in the same time period, androgynous trends appeared most frequently, not only in forecasted information, but also in actual trend. it was forecasted that yellow, white, and gray would be in trend and those colors appeared frequently in actual trend. On the other hand pastel tone appeared much more frequently than forecasted. Natural, thin - transparent (S/S) and stretch fabrics (F/W) were in actual trend as it was forecasted. Fit and Pare (woman), and long and slim (man) silhouettes were in actual trend as if was forecasted, but barrel silhouette appeared only in forecasted information. Most of the information forecasting fashion trends for next season were applied to the product planning of the season, right after the information comes out.
PURPOSE. Surface color is one of the main criteria to obtain an ideal esthetic. Many factors such as the type of the material, surface specifications, number of firings, firing temperature and thickness of the porcelain are all important to provide an unchanged surface color in dental ceramics. The aim of this study was to evaluate the color changes in dental ceramics according to the material type and glazing methods, during the multiple firings. MATERIALS AND METHODS. Three different types of dental ceramics (IPS Classical metal ceramic, Empress Esthetic and Empress 2 ceramics) were used in the study. Porcelains were evaluated under five main groups according to glaze and natural glaze methods. Color changes (${\Delta}E$) and changes in color parameters (${\Delta}L$, ${\Delta}a$, ${\Delta}b$) were determined using colorimeter during the control, the first, third, fifth, and seventh firings. The statistical analysis of the results was performed using ANOVA and Tukey test. RESULTS. The color changes which occurred upon material-method-firing interaction were statistically significant (P<.05). ${\Delta}E$, ${\Delta}L$, ${\Delta}a$ and ${\Delta}b$ values also demonstrated a negative trend. The MC-G group was less affected in terms of color changes compared to other groups. In all-ceramic specimens, the surface color was significantly affected by multiple firings. CONCLUSION. Firing detrimentally affected the structure of the porcelain surface and hence caused fading of the color and prominence of yellow and red characters. Compressible all-ceramics were remarkably affected by repeated firings due to their crystalline structure.

China has had a long preference in red. The color, symbolizing the sun, has a special significance, which stems from ancient times. The worship of the sun in the primitive society has been inherited by means of the collective unconsciousness; the sun has represented a variety of values such as nobility, purity, integrity, prosperity, success, happiness, good fortune, auspiciousness, and still much more. This research studies how the Chinese artworks visualize the color 'red', emphasizing the image of China and her culture. To do this, "Red Color" in Chinese posters from the past to the present were analyzed. While the images in red were delivered with a strong political connotation in the middle of the 20th century, as time passes by, the world trend of globalization has led the recent poster design in China to present red as the color standing for Chinese tradition, culture and spirits, which have flown throughout the 5000-year-long history.
This research was performed to develop the simple techniques to predict the copper concentration in alkaline copper quat (ACQ), copper azole (CUAZ), and bis-(N-cyclohexyl-diazeniumdioxy)-copper (CB-HDO) solutions. Two simple methods measuring the color due to copper compounds were evaluated by using a spectrophotometer. One is to directly measure the color of the preservative solutions. The other is to measure the color developed on the surface of a treated sample with the preservatives. The $L^*$ of the measured color values appeared to be the most sensitive to the change of copper concentration. The $a^*$ values of the preservative solutions tended to be decreased at above a certain concentration condition, and the $b^*$ values showed no trend with the concentration of copper compounds in preservative solutions. The surface color of the treated samples were changed from bluish to greenish as time passed. Both methods showed the high $R^2$ values of the regression models determined by using the lightness, which suggested that the methods might be applicable in preservative-treatment mills for the easy and fast prediction of the copper concentration.
