Dynamic orphism images expressed with abstraction and construction in color are often found in modern fashion. Orphism stressing color is one of the many art trends that influence fashion. This work aims to examin its expressive effects and characteristics that appear in fashion and provide basic materials for fashion design study. This study proceeds with the following steps. First, the study takes on a theoretical examination of the orphism trend using a literature review. Second, based on its results, modern fashion's expressive features influenced by orphism are analyzed. Third, the study draws expression effects in modern fashion from these characteristics. The study coverage is confined to domestic and foreign collections released in the 21st century. The study contents come from an Internet-base domestic and international database and published material, including dissertations and books. Orphism expression effects are found in the following ways in modern fashion. First, it lies in the abstraction effect of color. This feature arrays flat geometric figure on the clothing surface and applies a strong sense of color inside it, as if color has an abstractive structured design. Second, it gives a dynamic sense visually to the clothes all at once by stressing the relation among and between the colors with powerful contrast. Third, it has a collage effect of color. This effect develops into an organic combination composed of geometric plane figures with intense complementary colors in a single piece of clothing. Expression types that presents the orphism effect in fashion are divided into clothing showing traditional orphism characteristics faithfully and clothing expressing conventional orphism characteristics mixed with modern trends. Further developed orphism fashion can be classified by the playful type, with graffiti added onto an orphism color structure, and the destructive type, where traditional orphism color orders are taken apart and reformed into a new color order.

The color planning in the hospital could influence the patient's improvement and lead the users from room to room. This study shows the data of present colors used in the hospitals. In order to get the data, we surveyed and analyzed the current color usages of the present interior of hospitals by the individual data from the projectors. The color scheme is analyzed by the rooms which are the common room, the ward, and the examination room along the projectors. It is also analyzed by the finishes of the hospitals, and is addressed to the present color scheme by the means of the hue value, and chroma. The color scheme in the interior design of hospital is an important factor for the hospital users. It has to more sincerely considered to use colors effectively in the hospital interior since people use their organ of vision greatly when they sense things. According to the data, this study is proposed to the effective color plan which is considered psychologically and emotionally about the human activities, in the interior design of hospitals for the future.

This study examined the effect of the main color of apartment building as background color on the preference for residential streetscape in the relation with surrounding environment of streetscape with its focus on the color of apartment building outer wall. To research a visual evaluation structure, this study aimed to understand its characteristics through quantitative assay and to provide more scientific and specific data about improvement direction. The results suggested that the current brightness and chroma of main color of apartment building was high and low respectively which was advisable. On the other hand, in the color, when the components of the whole streetscape included buildings or soundproofing walls, a streetscape image needed to be improved though the color scheme of 4-distance color difference.

The purpose of this study is to research the similarity and difference of color application in the culture of Korea and Japan. The subject of this research is the costume color of Changgeuk and Kabuki. This survey analyzes Munsell's 3 attributes(Hue, Value, Chroma), tone, and 3D color analysis by extracted color data. And representative color according to Obangsaek is proposed. The results of this study are as follows: 1. High chroma red in Kabuki costume is more used as symbolic color(passion and luxurious) in order to show character's personality than that in Changguek costume. 2. Low chroma YR color(no-dyeing color) in Changgeuk costume much more used because of Korean white robe preference and eco-friendly thinking. But high chroma yellow is restrictive color for symbolic color of emperor in Korea and Japan. 3. Blue is most frequently used in both costumes because blue is encouraging color by the theory of exponents of the five elements doctrine. 4. White in Korean Changguek costume is more used for white robe preference thinking, but black in Kabuki costume is much more used for symbol of power in Japan. The similarity of Korean and Japanese cultural color is to use much Obangsaek, less Ogansaek by the theory of exponents of the five elements doctrine, but the difference of Korean and Japanese cultural color is to use color differently according to preference thinking system.

Architectural color would be understood as a essential tool to be reflected the architect's value criteria, thinking process and the specific methodology. This study was established the characteristics of color use correlated with Eisenman's architectural features based on his point of view. At first, it could be organized with data and use the color in view points with the becomming process. Especially it would be expressed the color as a trace of unsynchronized formation. Second, it was introduced the color by graphics engaged with form, to be expressed the dividing, folding, reiteration for deliver of escape from graphic thinking process. Third, it was analyzed to be imported the color to have a multi-lateral space experience in center of user's space recognition and behavior by introduction of color. Finally, it could be inducted the consistent color by viewpoint of interfacial between interior and exterior environment, communicated with strong meaning by conversion from interior elements to color from these processes. A characteristics of Eisenman's architecture color is reflected his thinking process in architecture color as it is and can be understand of 'becomming process use of color' as a tool that is corresponded in form creation. Specially, it would be kept continuous viewpoint of interior and exterior space, giving user color as a viewpoint of linking space, enable many-sidedness experiences through space.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of eye shadow color(brown, purple), lipstick color(red, red purple, and yellow red), and lipstick tone(vivid, light, dull, and dark) and clothing tone(vivid, light, dull, and dark) on image formation. Sets of stimulus and response scales(7 point semantic) were used as experimental materials. The stimuli consisted of 64 color photos manipulated with the combination of eye shadow color, lipstick color, lipstick tone, and clothing tone using computer simulation. The subjects were 384 female undergraduates living in Gyeongnam Province. Image factor of the stimulus was composed of 4 different components: attractiveness, visibility, cuteness, and stability. Eye shadow color, lipstick tone and clothing tone independently influenced on visibility, cuteness, and stability. Lipstick color independently influenced on the stability. In color coordination of clothing and makeup of the same hue, 1) visibility image can be created by the coordination of eye shadow color with lipstick color or clothing tone, or lipstick color with lipstick tone. 2) Cuteness image can be produced by the coordination of eye shadow color with lipstick or clothing tone, lipstick color with lipstick or clothing tone. 3) Stability image can be showed by the coordination of eye shadow color with lipstick tone.

The purpose of this study was to investigate color planning method for apparel fashion de-sign and to present the method of analysis of green color. Theoretical backgrouds of color planning for fashion design were scrutinized by documentary studies Fashion color planning has been developed through 4 steps: analysis of color environment analysis of color psy-chology presentation of coordination appli-cation to fashion design. Green color environment consisted of mar-ket informations and forecast informations The former were collected by color samples which were used for women's apparel of national brands from '93 spring/summer to '96 spring/summer and the latter were analyzed by fashion forecasting books. Green color psy-chology was investigated through the docu-mentary studiess. image of green color and these expressed in fashion were revealed through documentary studies. The results of this study were as follow: 1. 117 green color samples were collected from domestic womens brand. The character-istic of samples were the yellow green in hue and pale light bright in tone. forecast infor-mation was collected through fashion forecasting books from abroad and adaption of forecast information was investigated by mak-ing a comparison forecasting information be-tween market information. In consequence national market colors reflected the forecast information in concurrence with the character-istic colors of national women's apparel. 2. Affirmative images of green were nature youth health and abundance and negative images were extraordinary misfortune wind-fall. in these images nature youth and health were mostly used in fashion.

Fiber industry is export leading industry that guide national economy development after the 1960s in Korea. But lately, including China and Southeast Asia pursuit, domestic fiber industry is taking serious situation. Various kind methods can be proposed for high value added in fiber industry, the research about color is essential. The importance of color is increasing in modern textile and fashion industry. Color is important factor of textile and fashion industry because color affects strong influence in human's sensitivity. Color expresses by hue, value and chroma but fashion industry is using mainly hue and tone color system. Daegu Gyeongbuk area is domestic maximum syntheic fiber producing district. This study planned the polyester standard color collections for general color management of the polyester industry in Daegu Gyeongbuk. As basic research for this I investigated the color appearance distribution of polyester fabrics in Daegu Gyeongbuk that were produced for the recently 10 years and Japanese polyester color collections "SCOTDIC 2450". Reflect these study finding, in this research planned the usable standard color collections "Hue and Tone Polyester Standard Color 288". This research constructs insufficient domestic color infrastructure and expect that basic role to develop the competitive power for Korean fiber industry.

This study studied the improvement of job-Related skills by grasping the status of color use of game designers. The use of color centered on designer was surveyed. As a result, the ranking of color use was in the order of digital color, color harmony, color perception, color mixing, color emotion, and color name. Finally, it presents the opinion that it is necessary to open a color curriculum centered on practitioners and to focus on the 1st to 4th in color fields.
