Automatic Generation of Protocol Test Cases from Estelle Using Design/CPN (Design/CPN을 이용한 Estelle로부터의 프로토콜 시험열 자동 생성 기법)

  • Petri net is one of the effective modeling techniques which analyzes and designs concurrent and asynchronous systems. CPN is an extended Petri net which has color tokens. In this paper, we propose a new test case generation method using CPN. It transforms Estelle Specification into CPN, which is applicable to Design/CPN. It also generates UIO and subtour from OG and descriptor, which are resulted from Design/CPN. Using the proposed method, we can get more improved test coverage than existing methods. Therefore, more effective protocol conformance testing could be conducted. The test case generating method will be the basis of the automatic testing environmented.

  • The development of bio-response feedback control system known as the speaking plant approach has been a challenging task for plant production engineers and scientists. In order to achieve the aim of developing such a bio-response feedback control system, the primary concern should be to develop a practical non-invasive technique for monitoring plant growth. Those who are skilled in raising plants can sense whether their plants are under adequate water conditions or not, for example, by merely observing minor color and tone changes before the plants wilt. Consequently, using machine vision, it may be possible to recognize changes in indices that describe plant conditions based on the appearance of growing plants. The interpretation of image information of plants may be based on image features extracted from the original pictorial image. In this study, the performance of a finite element retina was optimized by a genetic algorithm. The optimized finite element retina was evaluated based on the performance of neural plant growth monitor that requires input data given by the finite element retina.

A Study on the Heat Load Transferred to a Passenger Vehicle (자동차 열부하의 계산)

  • The computer simulation program that calculates the transient heat load transferred to a passenger vehicle has been developed. Method for modeling mathematically various kinds of the heat load was presented and the derived equations were solved numerically. To find out the accuracy of the simulation program, the correlation of experimental and analytical results was demonstrated. By using this program, the typical characteristics about temperature distribution and instantaneous or of vehicle body color, material of glass, air-conditioning capacity, driving direction, and speed. Under a steady-state condition, the ratios of the heat load, resulting form vehicle body, glass, and interior part, were 35%, 29%, and 36%, respectively.

  • 능동제어형 전계방출 디스플레이의 전자공급원으로서 능동제어형 전계 에미터 어레이의 회로모델이 제안되었다. 능동제어형 전계 에미터 어레이는 전계방출을 안정화시키고 저전력구동을 위한 수소화 된 비정질 실리콘 박막 트랜지스터와 Spindt형 Mo 전계 에미터 어레이로 구성되었고 같은 유리기판 위에 제작되었다. 비정질 박막 트랜지스터와 Spindt형 Mo 전계 에미터 어레이의 전기적 특성으로부터 추출된 기본 모델 변수는 제안된 능동제어형 전계 에미터 어레이 회로모델에 입력되었고 SPICE 회로 시뮬레이터를 사용하여 특성을 분석하였다. 제작된 소자의 측정값과 DC 시뮬레이션 결과를 비교한 결과 두 값이 상당히 일치함으로써 등가회로 모델의 정확성을 확인하였다. 또한 제작된 소자의 transient 시뮬레이션 결과 전계 에미터 어레이의 게이트 커패시턴스와 TFT의 구동능력이 반응시간에 가장 크게 영향을 끼치고 있음을 확인하였다. 제작된 능동제어형 전계방출 에미터 어레이는 pulse width modulation으로 구동하는 경우 15㎲의 반응시간을 얻었고 이 값으로는 4bit/color의 계조(gray scale)표현이 가능하였다.

  • This paper presents an interactive technique that produces static human hairstyles by generating individual hair strands of the desired shape and color, subject to the presence of gravity and collisions. A variety of human hairstyles can be generated by supplying a few parameters to the modeling core, which consists of the wisp generator and hair deformation solver. Wisps are generated employing statistical approaches. As for hair deformation, a method that is not physically-based is proposed to efficiently account for the effects of gravity and collisions. The technique produces various hairstyles much faster than previously proposed methods, and the styles generated by this technique are remarkably realistic.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate how student felt the strengths and shortness of presentation methods for formation of interior spaces. For this study, the process of the interior architecture design class was divided into three stages: the programming. the design development, and the design completion. In the design development stage, students used presentation methods: hand sketch, scale model, computer modeling, and virtual realty. The strengths of hand sketch was that quick expression. Models provided three-dimensional feelings. Computer modelling provide realistic color and texture. Virtual reality provided three-dimensional immersion and real scale. It is effective that students collect brain storm images using quick hand sketch in the beginning of design development stage. After that, they compose interior spaces in study models with small scale. Watching the models, they design details of spaces by using hand sketch and computer modelling. Using virtual reality, they can check the scale and circulation. Finally, they complete computer modelling by texture mapping and check the final design in virtual reality.

  • In this paper, fuzzy logic controllers are designed for compensation of distance errors. Because we can't know information of the depth in a mono camera, these errors are occurred. Also, they are increased as a target object is to keep away from a center of image. Therefore, the errors for each position of joints of an arm robot should be modeled, but accurate models can't be obtained because of no information of the depth, uncertain feature points of image, parameter uncertainties, and illumination. Hence, fuzzy logic controllers for each error are designed for compensation. This paper consists of color image processing, error modeling, and the controller design. Experimental results are given to verify the effectiveness of our proposed method.

  • Recent observations and modeling of globular clusters with multiple populations strongly indicate the presence of super helium-rich subpopulations in old stellar systems. Motivated by this, we have constructed new population synthesis models with and without helium-enhanced subpopulations to investigate their impact on the UV-upturn phenomenon of quiescent early-type galaxies. We find that our models with helium-enhanced subpopulations can naturally reproduce the strong UV-upturns observed in giant elliptical galaxies assuming an age similar to that of old globular clusters in the Milky Way. The major source of far-UV (FUV) flux, in this model, is relatively metal-poor and helium-enhanced hot horizontal branch stars and their progeny. The Burstein et al. (1988) relation of the FUV - V color with metallicity is also explained either by the variation of the fraction of helium-enhanced subpopulations or by the spread in mean age of stellar populations in early-type galaxies.

  • 본 논문에서는 신경회로망에서 가장 널리 쓰이고 있는 오차 역 전파 알고리즘(Error Back-propagation) 을 사용하여 스캐너를 모델링함으로써 스캐너의 원색 재현을 위한 방법을 제시하였다. 이것은 스캐너의 하드웨어적 특성을 고려, 입력된 영상의 원색과 출력물의 색과 일치시키는 방법이다. 우선, 오차 역전파 알고리즘에 대하여 학습 규칙을 살펴보고 학습을 위한 데이터를 추출하기 위해 고르게 분포된 색 샘플들을 계측기로 측정하여 칼라 공간에서의 X, Y, Z 값을 얻어낸다. 그 중에서 표본 샘플을 추출한다. 그리고 이를 스캐너로 스캐닝하여 얻은 R, G, B값을 오차 역전파 알고리즘의 입력값으로, 목표값은 X, Y, Z값을 사용하여 학습시킨다. 학습하는 동안 샘플 색상의 수와 중간층의 수, 노드의 수를 변화시킴으로써 최적의 결과를 얻도록 실험하였다. 결론에서는 서로간의 결과를 분석한다.
