Improvement of color for iron oxide from waste pickling acid

  • In this study, to improve the color of iron oxide from waste pickling acid at the cold rolling mill, quality control technologies to improve color were investigated. During operation of the spray roaster, the charge amount of waste acid per hour, temperature, and numbers of spray nozzles were investigated. At the admixing process, titanium oxide, silica, and goethite were tested. The color character of iron oxide can be improved by process control of the spray roaster and the admixing process at a pigment factory. Iron oxide from this study is appropriate for use as a colorant of a concrete product.

  • Image retrieval is one of the most exciting and fastest growing research fields in the area of multimedia technology. As the amount of digital contents continues to grow users are experiencing increasing difficulty in finding specific images in their image libraries. This paper proposes an efficient image descriptor which uses a local color and texture in the non-overlapped block images. To evaluate the performance of the proposed method, we assessed the retrieval efficiency in terms of ANMRR with common image dataset. The experimental trials revealed that the proposed algorithm exhibited a significant improvement in ANMRR, compared to Dominant Color Descriptor and Edge Histogram Descriptor.

화상 2색법에 의한 디젤화염의 온도분포 및 매연농도의 평가 (An Estimation of the Temperature Distribution and the Soot Density in Diesel Flame with the Two-Color Method using Image Analysis System)

  • The simplified two-color method is proposed which can estimate the temperature distribution and the soot density of the whole flame with the image analysis of the high-speed photographs. The factors influenced on its processing were examined, for example, the selection of the wave length, the kind of films, the preparation of the calibration curve between the radiance of flame and the luminance temperature. The simplified two-color method reported in this paper can be used as a tool for the improvement of the combustion process in direct injection diesel engine.

  • We propose a content-based image retrieval system that uses a combination of completed local binary pattern (CLBP) and color autocorrelogram. CLBP features are extracted on a multi-resolution multi-direction filtered domain of value component. Color autocorrelogram features are extracted in two dimensions of hue and saturation components. Experiment results revealed that the proposed method yields a lot of improvement when compared with the methods that use partial features employed in the proposed method. It is also superior to the conventional CLBP, the color autocorrelogram using R, G, and B components, and the multichannel decoded local binary pattern which is one of the latest methods.

  • An LED sensor luminaire for visual function improvement necessitates the control algorithm for light level adjustment and the appropriate lens design. The control algorithm adapts to surround lighting condition, and thus has the advantages of energy saving and glare reduction. The multi-cell lens design improves color temperature uniformity and spatial light distribution of the luminaire. Experimental and simulated results show that this approach contributes noticeably to energy saving and color temperature uniformity of the LED sensor luminaire.

  • In this paper, an image enhancement method by saturation and contrast improvement is proposed. Histogram equalization with color difference makes higher contrast. By generating saturation amplification ratio with color difference, the saturation improves effectively. The experimental results show that the proposed algorithm has higher contrast and more natural - look than the conventional methods.

닭의 체모색 계통별 및 개량상태가 혈중 Cholesterol과 Protein 함양에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Different Body Color Strain and Improvement on Serium Cholesterol and Protein Contents in Chickens)

  • 본 연구는 재래형 유색계통계와 상업용 백색 산난계의 혈중 지질과 단백질 함양을 비교하기 위하여 재래형 유색계통계로서 황갈색계 10수, 녹흑색학 13수, 백색계 7수, 오골계 10수를, 개량형으로서 상업용 백색산난계(Nick chick) 30수를 선정하여 동일한 사료를 1개월 간 급이한 다음 혈청중 Cholesterol, triglyceride 및 protein 함양을 측정한 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. 혈청 cholesterol 함양은 상업용 백색산난계 ($172.50\pm$13.45 mg/100 $m\ell$)에서 고도의 유의차(P<0.01)를 보였고 유색계통보다는 백색계통계에서 다소 높았고 유색계통간은 비슷했다. 2. 혈청 triglyceride 함양은 재래형 유색계간에는 차이가 없으나 상업용 산난계에서 유의성을 나타냈다. (p<0.01) 3. 혈청 protein 합양은 상업용 산란계에서 $6.24\pm$0.23 mg/100 $m\ell$으로서 재래형보다 유의하게 높게 나타났다. (p<0.01) 이상과 같이 재내형 유색계통보다 상업용 산난계에서 혈중 지질과 protein 농도가 높은 것은 닭의 개량정도에 의한 차이로서 상업용 산란계는 섭취한 사료의 영양소 흡수율이 높았기 때문인 것으로 사료된다.

  • 패션 디스플레이는 패션 브랜드의 마케팅 전략 중의 하나이다. 오늘날 소비자의 심미가 높아지면서 소비자들이 패션 매장의 디스플레이에 대한 요구도가 높아지고 있다. 더욱이 색채 디자인은 디스플레이에서 심리적으로 매우 중요한 심리적인 역할을 하고 있으며, 본 연구에서는 디스플레이의 색채 디자인 중심으로 색채 디자인의 현황, 감정적인 특성, 또한 디스플레이의 색채 디자인의 심리 및 생리적 기능을 살펴보고자한다. 선행연구를 통해 구체적인 사례를 분석하고, 이러한 연구의 기초 위에 색채 디자인 방법과 규칙을 연구한다. 하는데, 그리고 배색미의 원칙을 파악하고, 패션 디스플레이에서의 색채 디자인의 효과를 더 잘 얻을 수 있도록 디스플레이의 색채 디자인의 향후의 계획을 제시해야 한다. 다음과 같다, 첫째, 전체적인 색채매치에 중점을 둔다. 둘째 매장의 구조 형태를 고려해야 한다. 셋째, 과학적 합리적 배색 질서를 강조해야 한다. 따라서 본 연구는 그 후의 색채 디자인에 관한 연구에 긍정적인 의미를 가지고 있는 것이 판단한다.

Changes in Meat Color and α-Tocopherol Concentrations in Plasma and Tissues from Japanese Beef Cattle Fed by Two Methods of Vitamin E Supplementation

  • The influence of dietary vitamin E supplementation on meat color and ${\alpha}$-tocopherol concentrations in plasma, longissimus thoracis muscle and subcutaneous fat was investigated. Ten Japanese $Black{\times}Holstein$ crossbred steers were placed in three experimental groups receiving different supplements of vitamin E. Four steers (control) were fed no supplemental vitamin E. Two groups of three steers each, were supplemented with 500 mg dl-${\alpha}$-tocopherol acetate per animal daily for 175 days and 1,000 mg for 100 days, respectively, before slaughter. The ${\alpha}$-tocopherol concentration in plasma increased, as vitamin E were fed, and were related to the length of time and the amount of supplement. The ${\alpha}$-tocopherol concentrations in the muscle and the fat from the two supplemental groups did not differ significantly and were three or more times greater than those in the control group. Vitamin E supplementation did not affect the quantity of marbling of beef. Supplemental vitamin E stabilized the color of displayed beef around wavelengths of 500 nm and 640 nm. The two methods of vitamin E supplementation had similar effects on meat color. The effect of supplemental vitamin E on the color of beef with marbling was observed 2-3 days after slaughter and was followed for another two weeks.

  • This paper presents a optimizing algorithm getting through analyzing a image improvement algorithm using retinex theory. Improving a existing retinex theory's slow process speed, our proposal is that it controls a small filter size of surrounding function by comparing with original algorithm. So slow process speed decreased drastically. For filling a short of lighting information by small filter, we also selected gray image as a forth channel. Using the color constancy, we got fast process time like linear color correction and could do comfortable auto color rectification according to other images.
